Whenever we're treated to lunch at work, we often order here. I usually get the brown burrito which is vegetarian and it doesn't disappoint. First of all, it's huge. I can never finish it all in one sitting. Secondly, it's packed full of rice, beans, carrots, corn, broccoli, and zucchini. The brown tortilla is nice and soft. It doesn't even need salsa on the side. It's flavorful as is. I just finished my leftovers and by writing this my mouth is watering again. read more

Really cool little spot in Sun Valley. Clean interior and high quality ingredients for the prices. We had the tacos, my daughter got the fish tacos and I got the shrimp tacos. Best Salsa bar in the valley. Huge Burritos. It's hard to get excited about trying out another valley taco spot but this place really impressed me. The menu is very big and by the looks of it, everything is made fresh to order. It took a little longer to get our order but we had so many salsas to choose from that we were happy w chips salsa and the choices of beans they have at the salsa bar. It typically takes about 15 to 20 minutes for them to prepare the dishes, which is why I always call in my orders ahead of time. Pretty solid place for Breakfast Burritos. I usually get the tacos on the street near Costco, but they weren't fully open yet. So I called this spot and placed an order for two Breakfast Burritos - one with steak and one with chicken. Food was ready within 10 minutes. You drive into the gas station and park there. Burritos were yummy, had chunks of potatoes in them and the steak was delicious. I will say the salsas were SUPER SPICY! I tried 3 different kinds and they all had a kick. The staff here is always super nice, too. Since this was a birthday lunch, we ordered in. I warned my friend, their burritos are the size of a four pound baby. Boy, was she in for a treat! She ordered the Chicken Burrito and I ordered a Lobster Quesadilla. The chef at this restaurant originally came from a 5 star restaurant so every time I've dined in, their presentation has always been fantastic. Their food quality has always been consistent. When asked about their seafood, I was told the chef visits the market every morning for fresh seafood. RJM prides themselves in their seafood. I can attest to that. The chef never overcooks any of their seafood dishes so the seafood always comes out soft and succulent. It's always tender. Even the Ahi Tuna is seared perfectly and never overcooked or undercooked. Just perfect. My quesadilla was soft and delicious. I was able to take it home and reheat it and it still tasted delicious! What I like about RJM is the respect they have for their patrons. I have a nasty tomato allergy and you know most Mexican food is made with tomatoes. Every time I've ordered from RJM and stated that I can't have tomatoes, I have NEVER encountered any cross contamination! Believe me, I would know. Even the juice of the tomato would affect me. I would know if they used the same knife to cut the tomatoes was used to cut the lettuce - I'm that allergic! You can never go wrong with RJM. You definitely have to try their salsas, too. Good ol' RJM! My fave hole-in-the-wall spot in Sun Valley! They are finally getting their parking lot repaired so be patient! I recommend parking in the back, where the park is. My boyfriend brought me here since we had a flight to catch. He mentioned he had been there before it tasted amazing so it was worth a shot trying this place out. the location is a little sketchy in a 7/11 parking lot and gas station. We went in and there weren't a lot of people in there. We ordered a fish taco, lobster taco, and ahi tuna taco a la carte. I ordered nachos and horchata. The food came out and tasted amazing!! Not only that but they brought us chips and they had a salsa station so we were able to pour our own sauces. The burritos are bomb and giant, although i would stay away from the lobster one because you get more onion and stuff than actual lobster. Fish tacos are great. Meat and chicken breakfasts are all delicious. PARKING SUCKS, its in the same space as the gas station on a weird corner. The salsas the the BOMB! theres like a bunch, i alternate and problaby looked crazy with 6 tiny containers, pouring a different color with every bit.. Bomb i tell you. A diamond in the rough! This little restaurant is bare bones and in a gas station parking lot, but oh my god; it's SO unexpectedly great. The (original) Mexican cuisine is wonderful, but they've also expanded the menu to include many yummy international dishes that are plated so beautifully that you'd think you were at a super posh cafe in Europe or something. The salads are filling and super fresh. Everything is at an unheard of price point, they serve FRESH fish, fine meats and my favorite: the chia crusted chicken! I have been to their branch on Venice before but hadn't realized it when a dear friend took me to lunch at this oasis in Sun Valley. Gourmet undercover as a Mexican grill. Similar to her sister this branch finds itself in the middle of an industrial area.
