We called them after realizing the spring on garage door got snapped. Lucky for us, they had their company info right next to the broken spring. March 2023. The garage door opener quit in a drawn out death. Copelan responded quickly and suggested some repairs that could be made more cheaply than a replacement, butI decided on a replacement. He told me he would have to order an opener and it might take three or four days. He was able get one sooner and promptly scheduled an appointment. His installers arrived on time, were well prepared to make the install and did so quickly and quietly. The opener is a new model and was a bit different from the old one, so I was told about the new features. They also lubricated the rails, and programmed the 2 old remotes with the new without my having to ask them. All-in-all very happy with their work and the new opener. I can see why they have stayed in business for as long as they have. read more

My husband made an appointment with Lloyd's C. Garage Doors. Their work man said immediately that there was a problem. He had brought a 7 ft rail and we needed a 8ft rail. It would be $40 more. I needed know the price was already $525 because my husband had made the appointment. I talked to my husband and both of us decided that paying the new amount was too much. $565. I felt they should have come prepared with a 7 ft and a 8ft rail. They know the community we live in, so I felt they should have been prepared. They would not budge on the new price so the canceled our service. Very poor business practice. There starting price is too high to begin with. We will not be using Lloyd Copeland garage doors again. We discussed what we needed, he quoted us $79 per door for service. The tech didn't service all three doors. We were charged $600+. When we argued with him, he tried to show us his "invoice", a post-it with only his math on it. Also the tech didn't clean up very well. read more

I was very impressed with the service I was as given with this company. I had an issue with my cheaply made garage door opener I bought online, and called Lloyd Copeland for a service call. they sent Chad out to my house to look at the power head. He figured out the control board was bad. I asked if there was a better manufacturer out there that was too expensive, so we chatted about some of the different options out there. He didn't push me to buy a specific expensive model like another company I used previously did, and said they could come back and install whatever I decided to buy. They did not charge me the service fee for the callout, which I really appreciated, so I decided to call them back to take care of the new install. I bought a lift master opener from Home Depot that day, and they sent Chad back out 2 days later to install it. His install was fast, very clean, and I am very impressed with the service and clean setup he provided. Had Chad from Copeland doors come out an fix my commercial semi trailer door. The torsion spring had busted and I went to Ontario to Whiting door where I purchased a complete new torsion spring assembly. First attempt failed as the cone spool on the end where the cable winds broke out a small piece rendering it useless and had to take the whole assembly back out. I had to drive the 2 hours round trip back to Whiting where I was able to replace it free. Unfortunately, because of the backlog of jobs and being short handed, I had to wait another week before I could get the guys back out here. Fortunately we could endure and this time Chad fixed it in record time. I was a bit miffed at having to make that drive again, but that's the way things go sometimes. All in all the job got done and they charged me half of what some other quotes I got. A special thanks to Copeland, Nichole for being honest and Chad for his expertise. I called LLoyd Copelan Garage doors for a repair of our door. They had done the installation years ago. I knew the right and left T springs were broken. Ed came out to do the service and worked with my wife. The job cost $400.00. That's right, $400.00! Ed was there less than an hour. He charged $80.00 labor, not bad. The parts (2 springs and 2 cables) cost a combined $320. After doing an online check, these parts, conservatively should cost around $90.00. ($35 for each spring and $10 for each cable). And again this is conservative! You can get them cheaper that this. This is a 356% mark-up on parts. That is pure thievery! I spoke to Nicole. Well first time they came out a few weeks ago my garage door right cable drum came off the reel, so we called the local guy "Lloyd Copeland" to take a look as we like to support local business. Now the problem was fixed fairly quickly, under 20 minutes. The tech that came out decided on his own, without my wives approval to do a "routine service" to our garage door for $80. When she got the bill for over $125, she gladly paid since she just wanted the garage door fixed. But when I came home later and looked at the bill I asked if she knew it was "serviced" which I do on a regular basis- it consists of spraying all the joints and springs with grease. A few days later we had a few issues with the garage door opening and closing, but it was hot out and maybe the metal expanded a little bit because the issue stopped the next morning. Then two weeks later it wouldn't go up at all. We called and the owner Lloyd came out and noticed the sensors got knocked and was quite rude to my wife about our "stuff" around the garage that could have knocked the sensor down. I'm ok with the sensor issue, but I am not OK with the owner of the business being rude and acting like we wasted his time calling in a service call. And then he charges $49 for two minutes time. $49 dollars in five minutes when he drove ten minutes from his shop is a good wage. Further I am not OK with them doing a "routine service" to the door, but not asking. I will NOT be using them again. Not friendly, nor respecting the customer, which typically is always right even when they are wrong. read more
