    Buckle up, because this is a bit of a read. The short version is this: Technician Jacob W. is…read morefantastic, and Bulwark has fully earned my loyalty. We first signed up with Bulwark not long after moving into our home. Then one day, a competitor knocked on my door and convinced me to switch. I will not name names, but let us just say they had my anxiety on EDGE, and eventually I wanted to Seala way from them. After three months of misrepresented products and technicians cutting corners, I called Bulwark like a drunk ex begging them to take me back. They laughed with me, said it happens all the time, and welcomed me back with no hard feelings. They even let me return with my original promotional price. Maybe they say that to all their customers, but I felt special. I have been with Bulwark for at least four years now, and every technician has been helpful, professional, and thorough. They always give me a heads-up before they arrive, but they never expect a reply. If I am busy, they just get the job done and follow up by text with a full report, including what they treated, photos of treated or concerning areas, and any tips or suggestions. On days when I do have time to chat, they always remind me that they will come back out at no charge if I see pest activity between services. One time, I was on vacation and asked the technician if he would spray my garage if I opened it remotely. Of course, he said yes. He let me know when he was done so I could close it, then double-checked that I received his message when I did not reply right away. For the record, I was on Space Mountain. That is the kind of service Bulwark provides. But I digress. This review is supposed to be about Jacob W. I know Jacob W. probably gets cool points, money, a gold star, or whatever for being mentioned by name, but that is not why I am writing this. I am writing it because Jacob was just as great as every other Bulwark technician, with one extra bonus... when he arrived, I was carrying in my Costco delivery, and he genuinely offered to help bring it inside. Not in a "please mention this in a review" kind of way. He actually started reaching out to help. Of course, it was hot outside, so I was not about to make the poor guy haul my groceries, too. But he still gave me a clear rundown of the treatment, I topped off his water bottle, and he got to work. He cut absolutely no corners. At the end, he gave me a verbal report, including mentioning the wasp nest he knocked down that I didn't know about, which means he basically preemptively saved me from getting stung. Absolute legend. Even after giving me the verbal report, he still took the time to send everything by text as well. About an hour later, I was driving to my neighbor's house a few blocks away, and who did I see? Jacob W. And this man was executing a flawless parallel parking job. Completely unrelated to pest control, but frankly, I feel like it says a lot about his character. (I swear this part is completely true. Northern Daybreak on our narrow streets with too many cars always parked on them.) Jacob W. was kind, genuine, professional, and thorough. Now, as I understand it, there is more than one Jacob technician. This review is specifically for Jacob W. The rest of the Jacob alphabet should thank him, because W is making all Jacobs look good. Whatever reward, bonus, or kickback Jacob W. gets for this review, please add a little extra. Because while I am sure I could technically spray my own home, with service like this, why would I?

They've been out twice already. They did the standard yard stuff that they do and then they came in and treated my carpet., they came back in week to see how everything was going!     Orkin has impressed me greatly with every interaction that I've had with them so far…read more Several years ago, I worried that I might have cockroaches, but Orkin's expert discovered that my home-invaders were actually elm seed bugs, showed tremendous knowledge about them, didn't try to exploit me or even charge me, and gave me some good tips for dealing with them. Yesterday, Orkin's exterminator examined my landlord's home regarding a bedbug infestation in my room, gave me a huge quote, sensed that I was a bit indigent, waived his usual inspection fee, and suggested another local company to consider that could also do good work for me but might provide cheaper rates for it. Orkin has persistently proved knowledgeable and skilled, and that its experts have my best interests at heart---and, as long as they remain so, I intend to contact Orkin first everytime I have a pest problem for the rest of my life.

They never told us about them. I called orkin because they were one of the only pest companies open on Sundays. I called and the rep was kind and I explained it is a duplex with roaches and we need both sides treated asap. She scheduled us for the next day. This included initial treatment and every other month maintenance. Day of, I called to confirm I would be notified when the tech was on the way, and I paid for the every other month maintenance up front ($754!) Upon the tech arriving, I was told they can't treat both units as one because each unit has a different address. They said when I called on Sunday I spoke with a contact center in Atlanta and they don't know the rules and regulations in Utah (not my fault) and they have to split the account in two in order to treat both sides (It's roaches!! We can't treat just one side!) I explained I just paid for a years worth of maintenance and I do not want to pay more. They said they would just take the amount and split it between the two units. After an ordeal talking on the phone with management while the tech and I were on site we finally got the go ahead to treat the whole property . The tech was very knowledgeable and awesome. This review is not a reflection of him. It's the administrative piece dealing with the office... anyway after he treated he said they would contact me to schedule a 3 day follow up. They never did. Online I can see a pending charge on my account for $231 for one unit and $115.50 for the other. I called customer service yesterday (Thursday). She scheduled the follow up for me for Friday 630 am to 730 am. She explained they aren't charging me more - I paid up front for the every other month service and the $231 is for the initial but it will be split in two ($115.50 per unit). I said okay, but today I have been charged $231 + $115.50 + the $754??? I also haven't heard from them (it's now almost 8 am). I texted the tech and he doesn't have my property on his route. I called the local office, no answer. This seems like an ultimate nightmare on top of dealing with nightmare situation the prior tenants left us in. Do not recommend orkin ever. Huge national company with office staff not knowledgeable. I should not be routed to a call center where the rep doesn't know the rules and regulations for my state!! Again, inconsistent billing and what I'm being charged is different than what I am being told. There are still roaches! Desperately need the follow up treatment but have no idea what's going on. Currently have a vacant unit I can't rent out so I am out that money. Last couple notes - we have had pest control here before with other companies and have never had an issue with billing because of the unit addresses. Also, again, the tech himself was awesome - I hope he can find a better company to work with because based on how orkin handled all of this it made a bad situation worse for us. Awful customer experience and will be seeing if I can get some money refunded and will be finding a different pest company.

I was in contact with a man named Carl. I had notified him that I have pets (2 dogs) and he said it was okay. Carl and I coordinated meeting at my property around 10:30 and he made it there just on time. I figured I would introduce my dogs to him outside of my unit seeing as one of my dogs barks pretty loud. As Carl was parking I was waiting near my porch for him. As he walks up to my building I tell him "hello! These are my dogs, I know the black one is pretty loud but she's super nice." He then proceeds to rudely reply, "well can you get them away from me." Which in all honestly kind of took me aback. So I replied with of course and stepped away from him, allowing him to go towards the front door of my property. Our building has a code so as I was waiting to see what he would do he pulls out his phone and starts to call someone. Of course, my phone starts ringing. I mention to him that he's calling me and I can see him physically change his attitude from rude to "customer service," I assume. Anyways, he tried kissing a** after that but I was already extremely dissatisfied with his customer service. He didn't even give my dogs a chance. They're basically my kids.
