This is THE WORST Primo Location in the entire area. I have been eating Primo Hoagies for years and this is by far the worst location. It started off pretty good when the staff was new and they hired quality employees. The recent group of people that they hired is a joke. They are all high school kids with no discipline and it never seems as if a manager is working. I walked in 5 minutes after I had placed an order to find that my sandwich was done. When I walked in though, the group of kids behind the counter were to busy messing around to even notice that I was there. I have always ordered a Badda Boom and the sandwich has always been a hot sandwich. You would think that after 5 minutes of placing an order that the sandwich would be at least warm. Think again, because the sandwich was cold. I will never spend my hard earned money at this place again. I work close enough to the Exton Location that I will drive there from now on to order my Primo Hoagies. read more

This location has taken a turn for the worse. Came in last week, ordered a sharp Italian w/ hot peppers in oil. The kid taking my order didn't comprehend, gave me a puzzled look ("so you just want hot peppers and oil on the sandwich? No lettuce, tomato or onion?") and I explained the long hot, green peppers, Italian peppers three different ways / times. He acted as if he understood but when I got it home and went to eat it (hours later) the sandwich had banana peppers! Never mind the fact it was a WHOLE sandwich - approximately $25 of lackluster peppers. Fast forward to yesterday, exactly one week later. Called ahead, ordered a whole sharp Italian + long hot peppers. She said it would be ready in about 15 min. Show up 20 min later and she didn't even begin making the sandwich. Confirmed she understood what peppers, just in case. Take it home, open it up, PICKLES GALORE! Pickles is not a word one would confuse for another word. When it comes to ordering, 'pickles' is not even in my Primo vocabulary! No peppers...with pickles. read more

You would think being Primo Hoagies that you would think they know what they are doing. From the incompetent staff to the short fat rude owner that doesn't know how to run a business. Went to pick up a couple sandwiches on early evening of July 21st, 2018. Paid with a credit card and it prompted me to tip. I couldn't understand why a tip was warranted as it's counter service. I declined to tip and the young man behind the counter seemed perturbed that I did so. When the drawer opened he slammed it closed and upon my leaving made a comment to the young lady co-worker that "it should've been like a five dollar tip". First, bad math as it was on a twenty dollar bill. Second, why am I supposed to tip on counter service? The food was pretty good but I'm not sure I'll return after being made to feel so uncomfortable. As there are an abundance of shops to go to in the area, I may steer clear of this one. Prompting to tip on counter service is ridiculous and the attitude of the employee was inappropriate to say the least. The worst service. I called today to place a take out order. They pick up the phone and placed me on hold forever. So I decided to drive down there and the phone was off the receiver. There where 4 working and they where totally disorganized. They clearly could not handle the orders coming in. This place is mismanaged. We end up ordering from a different Primo's. They where very organized and had double the amount of people work and had tomato for sandwiches unlike the Downtown Primo who ran out of tomato 2 hours after they opened. Placed an order and my husband went to pick it up on the time provided and apparently got treated with a bad attitude. "It will be ready in a minute!!!!" As a student at the United States Naval Academy, my family and I always rely on Primos Hogies of Downingtown to supply our tailgates at the Army Navy Football game and Navy Lacrosse tailgates. It is always my number one choice for lunch to catch a game on TV or just to relax in the friendly environment that all the employees create. I did a fundraiser through this Primo and it was a a great experience. The owner, Chris, was really nice and accommodating and charged me a low price for the hoagies. I was able to make $450 fundraising through them! As for the sandwiches, they were great. I had never had a Primo hoagie before, but I knew they were popular. And of course, they were delicious. Those who I sold the hoagies to were more than happy with their sandwiches, as was I. I would recommend fundraising through these guys, as well as buying a hoagie from here. Generally I love Primo's. However, this location sucks big time, which is a shame b/c I live very close to it and have to drive out to Exton if I'm craving an overpriced sandwich. The last time I was there, I watched as someone in the back took almost half an hour to construct one sandwich. They kept burning the fried eggplantand apparently after the 3rd refry, decoded that I wouldn't care and left the burnt crap on my sandwich. The management is rude beyond belief. That alone should be reason enough to stay away from this location. Fortunately, there are 2 Wawa locations very close by. read more

I love Georgios hoagies, they are the most delicious hoagies youll ever eat. But i thought Id give primo a try since you always hear people talking about how good they are. Usually I cant make this work because they close so early. Who closes a hoagie place at 7?! First of all my mom wanted a medium chicken parm. The girl tells me we only have chicken parm in small and large. Umm you have medium rolls and you have chicken - this is not complicated. My italian was basically a shredded ham hoagie, certainly not a true italian. Also the rolls were awful, crusty. I wont eat here again and I recommend you dont either! read more

Have picked up food here a few times before with no problems. My last visit was extremely frustrating. Ordered an hour prior to Eagles kickoff and was told my food would be ready in 30 minutes. Showed up a half hour later, paid for my food, then waited an additional 30 minutes. When I asked how long and told them my name they then started making my food. Another 15 minutes and I was finally on my way. I get that you're busy but tell me that on the phone so I'm not waiting around in the store with my 4 year old for 45 minutes! I live like a block away from this location so I stop by here from time to time when I want to pay over ten bucks for a hoagie. I seem to always get the Schwartzie with corn beef and coleslaw. No one else in the area that I know of does a corn beef on a long roll like that. It's usually good though sometimes it's a bit dry. The sides they offer are nothing special, macaroni salad had way to much mayo. . And it does seem to take to long for a simple sandwich to be made, I recommend calling ahead. Great location the only reason I gave it three stars is because of its store hours closes at seven on week days? Five on Sundays ? What the heck? My husband went in last night close to closing time(7pm on a Sat night is way too early). We both had the Schwartzie which I was really looking forward to but the hoagie was the hardest thing ever. I could have knocked someone out if I hit them over the head. I was honestly afraid I was going to break a tooth while eating it. I have called multiple times and asked for it to be delivered, only to have them tell me no we don't do that. Why is it listed on your menu???? Had in a friend in from Long Island a week or so ago for the Eagles vs. Giants game. He wanted to know what we bring down to the tailgate. My dad and I always love to get hoagies at Primo's! The sandwiches are delicious and the location is great. The people are very kind, accommodating, and helpful. Have been to this location a few times and didn't have an issue until this past weekend. Rude employees, dirty and the buns were stale. I signed up to comment to Primos and the Owner called me today and basically bullied me over the phone and called me a liar saying his product is quality. He had an attitude right from the beginning and was not customer centric, or even kind. To say I will NEVER go here again is an understatement.
