Stopped by Lorenzo's for lunch since I was in the area. The shop is small and has similar ambiance to a pizza shop. The girl at the register was really nice and made a recommendation for a smaller cheesesteak special, which included fries and a drink. While I was waiting, she offered me a garlic knot as well. Great customer service! I got my cheesesteak pretty quickly and it was piping hot. Huge portions at a great price! I think it was around $13 and I was only able to finish half of it.

    Town Talk Cheesesteak
    Nando F.

The battle for supremacy in the "Best Cheesesteak" in Philly is and has been an ongoing battle. Well fam, we now have to throw in the city of West Chester to the mix. I'm telling you this tight knit community has a heavy hitter known as Lorenzo's that can hold their own if they were in Philly. Everyone has their favorite, their "ole reliable" for that "go to" spot. A fierce competition to be number 1, and I am more than willing to accept this kind of challenge. A 1400 plus calorie induced challenge types of deliciousness, and Lorenzo's you have made it to my recommendations list. (Not an easy list to get on by the way.) Holy goodness as I entered Lorenzo's , I was greeted with an inviting aroma of ribeye on the grill doing its thing, getting ready to get its freak on when someone bites into it. We all know that hum of meat being cooked, that sizzle that just makes you do a little shimmy. Best part about Lorenzo's they always start off with a clean slate. Meaning once one steak is made they clean it off and start with the next one. They don't keep a heaping mound of meat on the grill like other places do. From what I have seen at least , that my friends of Yelp makes for a great feast to be had. So what does Nando go with? The options they offer , the different combinations of mouthwatering cheesesteaks, only to put your taste buds into shock kind of pleasures. I decided to go with Lorenzo's famous, crowd pleasing "Town Talk" cheesesteak. Slap that puppy with that Cooper Sharp cheese and lets not forget to compliment it with fried onions for the win. Two words fam.. Euphoric Bliss. Kristos the owner of Lorenzo's, a great owner I might add. Kristos is willing to talk to the patrons, and wants to hear their opinion in how to make it better. That is something rare to find anywhere, which is why I'd definitely come back, plus that menu is pretty stout. I do love cheesesteaks, and these guys nailed it in every aspect of what a cheesesteak should taste like. I am Nando, and I approve this message.

    Old School Italian Hoagie
    Matt T.

I've lived in Chester County for 10 years now and if I ever craved an authentic Italian hoagie, I typically found myself driving back into my old stomping grounds in Delaware County. With the exception of Primos, I hadn't found a local shop in Chester County that I felt made a solid hoagie. That is until now. I don't know why I held out so long before trying Lorenzo's. Their old school Italian was superb. Meat sliced super thin, nicely chopped lettuce, delicious roll. The staff were all super friendly and I got my hoagie very quickly. One small complaint- the long hots on my hoagie were a little hard. I feel like they may have needed to roast in the oven for a little longer. Not worth removing a star for, however. I'll definitely be back to Lorenzo's for my hoagie needs.

The spicy margarita was not spicy. I am pretty sure there was no alcohol in it. There was 0 heat, It was watered down and simply sour. I even had my husband try it because he does not like spice in his drinks, just to be sure. The tuna and sea bass entrees were noticeably different. We received 3-4 ounces of fish and the rest of the plate was filled with mashed potatoes. Even the toppings were slim. My husband had a mango salsa on his that was barely there. I was suppose to have a soy glaze - could not taste it whatsoever. It wasn't surprising after looking at my dish before digging in. I wish I would have snapped some pictures. I do not recall the entrees being like this before and sure enough after looking at some reviews with pictures, something is definitely going on. The dishes use to be bigger and better.

Do not park in the lot next to the building because it is for the US Postal Service and your vehicle will be towed. There is a parking garage around the corner on the corner of Walnut and Chestnut Streets. The cost is 25 cents for every 15 minutes. We ordered an Old-Fashioned with Woodford and a Blueberry Shaker. The Blueberry Shaker was only 3 dollars more than the regular drink and it yielded a total of 4 drinks for my partner. The drinks were good. For our meals we had the Steak and Shrimp Bourbon, Bourbon Street Burger, and a side Caesar Salad. Everything tasted very good. The decor is New Orleans Style although not completely authentic. There is a beer garden for those who want a less formal atmosphere. The hostess was incredibly good at her job. She was very friendly and engaging. We really enjoyed her service. First, my girlfriend and I arrived to the restaurant. We requested a specific table, and the host was gracious enough to do so. We then waited 8 minutes before our table was even touched, and it was just our (server? No intro, nothing) ASKING us if we'd like water. We say yes, and then waited an additional 5 minutes just to receive water in PLASTIC cups. Again, this person never told us his name, and we weren't even sure if he was taking our order or not. He appeared to be about 18, and was most certainly high Then, we requested glasses, and since it had been 15+ minutes since we sat down, said we were ready to order when we got the glasses. The guy took our order. We both got cocktails, which also took about 10 minutes. Finally, our appetizer came. We weren't even halfway through before the entrees came, we probably had about 10 minutes to finish it. This all could have been negated if our order was taken correctly, and things could have been staggered correctly. The "two bite" check occurred within 30 seconds of our food being dropped, and by then I hadn't even touched my food. It was way too early and felt like he was just trying to get it out of the way. At that point both my girlfriend and I were just ready to eat and we said everything was fine. I had to ask the guy for a bag on the way out, rather than him giving me one after our food was put into 3 boxes. I want to be empathetic of whatever was going on at The Social that Sunday. Yet, if you are going to make your steak $42, the service needs to justify that price. I will not be going back to The Social, and encourage their management to speak to their server who flubbed the ENTIRETY of my experience there. Myself and my girlfriend both work in the service / restaurant industry, and we know what good service is. We also understand that there are bad days. This was just abysmal. 4/10.

Limoncello has been a popular choice since I can remember but I hadn't gone since I was in middle school. We were very satisfied with our meals and experience! The atmosphere is super fun and outgoing and service is great. We got water pitcher for the table which I loved. I'm always needing tons of water when I am eating so it's nice to have refills on the ready ! The free bruschetta was a pleasant surprise and the tomato's were fresh and delicious. I don't really like tomato's so when I like them you know they're dang good. We ordered the spicy rigatoni with a cutlet per Jenna's recommendation. I was absolutely blown away at HOW GOOD THE CUTLETS were. I'm a little picky about meat but these cutlets were the best I've ever had. They tasted incredible and were cooked perfectly. And they had a nice breaded crunch. Literally the best cutlets I've ever had The pasta itself was very good too. Big fat homemade rigatonis. Sauce was perfectly creamy and flavorful. But the added spice was a bit much for me. I was fine but I think I would've preferred it plain. My husband felt the opposite and highly the spice was mild so I don't know. We like spicy food we can handle relatively good spicy food but who knows ! It was still really good Our friend liked his branzino a lot. Their dry aged ribeye is something worth telling other people about (and i have) But BUT Tonight they had a featured waygu steak. Usually i dont splurge for waygu as the portion size is typical small. Not the case here. Our server, justin, was incredible. He said "i know you have your mind set on the ribeye but you have to try this steak" Apparently its a cross breed of waygu and angus (i had to google it as i write this because i couldnt remember the details). We ended up getting the irodori (yes had to google the spelling too) steak to share, but i was dead set on my ribeye After tasting the iridori, i wish i had ordered one for just myself, it was that good. He mentioned he is in college but treated us in a manor that a tenured server would. We would request him in the future for sure. He had a good sense of humor too. He mentioed that he loves the food and from the one size too small vest he was wearing, it was evident! i left him a good tip to get a new vest. He was kind enough to bring the chef out to say hello and for us to ask about and compliment the waygu steak. The chef, jacob, was awesome. Knowledgeable but humble. Engaging and patient with all my questions. Would happily buy the man a drink if i see him around town. Only con of the night is, as anywhere in west chester, was parking.
