    Cheesesteak with peppers

Lorenzo's is my favorite cheesesteak in the Philly burbs. The steak is flavorful and tender and they are huge. Always order from Lorenzo's when I'm feeling a cheesesteak

Stopped by Lorenzo's for lunch since I was in the area. The shop is small and has similar ambiance to a pizza shop. The girl at the register was really nice and made a recommendation for a smaller cheesesteak special, which included fries and a drink. While I was waiting, she offered me a garlic knot as well. Great customer service! I got my cheesesteak pretty quickly and it was piping hot. Huge portions at a great price! I think it was around $13 and I was only able to finish half of it.

    Town Talk Cheesesteak

The battle for supremacy in the "Best Cheesesteak" in Philly is and has been an ongoing battle. Well fam, we now have to throw in the city of West Chester to the mix. I'm telling you this tight knit community has a heavy hitter known as Lorenzo's that can hold their own if they were in Philly. Everyone has their favorite, their "ole reliable" for that "go to" spot. A fierce competition to be number 1, and I am more than willing to accept this kind of challenge. A 1400 plus calorie induced challenge types of deliciousness, and Lorenzo's you have made it to my recommendations list. (Not an easy list to get on by the way.) Holy goodness as I entered Lorenzo's , I was greeted with an inviting aroma of ribeye on the grill doing its thing, getting ready to get its freak on when someone bites into it. We all know that hum of meat being cooked, that sizzle that just makes you do a little shimmy. Best part about Lorenzo's they always start off with a clean slate. Meaning once one steak is made they clean it off and start with the next one. They don't keep a heaping mound of meat on the grill like other places do. From what I have seen at least , that my friends of Yelp makes for a great feast to be had. So what does Nando go with? The options they offer , the different combinations of mouthwatering cheesesteaks, only to put your taste buds into shock kind of pleasures. I decided to go with Lorenzo's famous, crowd pleasing "Town Talk" cheesesteak. Slap that puppy with that Cooper Sharp cheese and lets not forget to compliment it with fried onions for the win. Two words fam.. Euphoric Bliss. Kristos the owner of Lorenzo's, a great owner I might add. Kristos is willing to talk to the patrons, and wants to hear their opinion in how to make it better. That is something rare to find anywhere, which is why I'd definitely come back, plus that menu is pretty stout. I do love cheesesteaks, and these guys nailed it in every aspect of what a cheesesteak should taste like. I am Nando, and I approve this message.

    Old School Italian Hoagie
    Matt T.

I've lived in Chester County for 10 years now and if I ever craved an authentic Italian hoagie, I typically found myself driving back into my old stomping grounds in Delaware County. With the exception of Primos, I hadn't found a local shop in Chester County that I felt made a solid hoagie. That is until now. I don't know why I held out so long before trying Lorenzo's. Their old school Italian was superb. Meat sliced super thin, nicely chopped lettuce, delicious roll. The staff were all super friendly and I got my hoagie very quickly. One small complaint- the long hots on my hoagie were a little hard. I feel like they may have needed to roast in the oven for a little longer. Not worth removing a star for, however. I'll definitely be back to Lorenzo's for my hoagie needs.

Talk of the town cheesesteak- WOW!!!! Portions are huge!!! Can be pricey for a pizza place but it is totally worth the quality of food.

My companion also found his biscuits with sausage gravy incomparable and enjoyed it immensely. The service was very good-hearted but rather disorganized. Three examples: 1) When we entered, we were offered a table or a booth, chose a table, and immediately were very cheerfully and politely taken to a lovely booth. 2) After asking our server for a few minutes to study the menu, a different server came by to take our order, and shortly after that the original server also came back to take our order. 3) One of our meals was delivered promptly to our table but the other went to a different table first. In spite of all this, however, we were treated very well and felt that the staff sincerely wanted to do everything they could to make our meal pleasant, which it was (mishaps notwithstanding).

We definitely over-ordered but told plenty home for leftovers. For appetizers we ordered the pork belly bao buns and the Thai salad with shrimp. These are more entree size so be forewarned. The bao buns came in a taco server and had three buns filled with plenty of pork and a spicy aioli. The Thai salad came with 5 nicely charred shrimp and a Napa salad. This ate a little dry-I would have appreciated a bit more dressing- but I can see where more dressing might have made this a bit soggy. We would definitely order these again For entrees, we tried the burger and the chicken pot pie. The burger was a double patty with cheese, pickled onion, and a mayo based sauce on a sesame bun. I have to say I was happy to see that they opted out of the usual sad lettuce and anemic tomato that is typical of early spring. I think it was lacking some salt as it was missing something but overall was ok and served with crispy shoestring fries. The pot pie was topped with some puffed pastry and had a nice velvety sauce with hints of tarragon. Very nice. My dining partner finished my burger and took most of the pot pie and the side salad that came with it home. Even though my dining partner couldn't finish his regular entree, he wanted dessert. After looking at the choices the server suggested the seasonal dessert which was beignets with whipped cream, chocolate and strawberries. I was reticent but was happy with the choice because the chocolate dipping sauce (of which there was plenty ) was DELICIOUS! The beignets were fried puff pastry or croissant dough that one dipped in the warm chocolate fudge-y ganache and/or whipped cream. I ordered coffee which paired well with the dessert and it was delightfully fresh. Service was good, friendly and attentive. Decor is industrial farmhouse. Clientele consists of workers from the local courthouse up to about 6 pm when we saw families starting to file in. Nice place, good food, good value.

Do not park in the lot next to the building because it is for the US Postal Service and your vehicle will be towed. First, my girlfriend and I arrived to the restaurant. We requested a specific table, and the host was gracious enough to do so. We then waited 8 minutes before our table was even touched, and it was just our (server? No intro, nothing) ASKING us if we'd like water. We say yes, and then waited an additional 5 minutes just to receive water in PLASTIC cups. Again, this person never told us his name, and we weren't even sure if he was taking our order or not. He appeared to be about 18, and was most certainly high Then, we requested glasses, and since it had been 15+ minutes since we sat down, said we were ready to order when we got the glasses. The guy took our order. We both got cocktails, which also took about 10 minutes. Finally, our appetizer came. We weren't even halfway through before the entrees came, we probably had about 10 minutes to finish it. This all could have been negated if our order was taken correctly, and things could have been staggered correctly. The "two bite" check occurred within 30 seconds of our food being dropped, and by then I hadn't even touched my food. It was way too early and felt like he was just trying to get it out of the way. At that point both my girlfriend and I were just ready to eat and we said everything was fine. I had to ask the guy for a bag on the way out, rather than him giving me one after our food was put into 3 boxes. I want to be empathetic of whatever was going on at The Social that Sunday. Yet, if you are going to make your steak $42, the service needs to justify that price. I will not be going back to The Social, and encourage their management to speak to their server who flubbed the ENTIRETY of my experience there. Myself and my girlfriend both work in the service / restaurant industry, and we know what good service is. We also understand that there are bad days. This was just abysmal. 4/10.
