I swore against going back here after several terrible experiences over the past few years...all Leadership issues. I recently saw a sign about new ownership and decided to give it a whirl (after all, the sandwiches were good and it was the service that was horrendous). Boy am I glad I did! We've been ordering from here almost weekly for over a month now! The sandwiches are crafted to perfection (we like to over-customize and they make it happen flawlessly). I had an issue needing to cancel an order once, and the manager personally called me twice to ensure I got my money back. Just now, my online order "looked like it was missing something" so the manager called to confirm (turns out it was missing items). The staff here is so sweet, and very accommodating. I spent almost $80 on three subs, and while the price is what it is, what really upset me was the customer service. I came in to order subs for my family. My 13-year-old nephew wanted a BLT, but I was told they don't offer one. No problem--I called him to see what he'd like instead since he wasn't with me. It took a couple of tries for him to answer, which already seemed to annoy the employee. When he finally answered, he said he wanted a tuna sub with nothing on it. I told the employee, "Tuna with nothing on it." She responded with an annoyed, "Ugh... nothing?" I laughed and said, "Yeah, sorry, he's 13 and picky--nothing." She then asked, with an attitude, "So no mayo?" I replied, "Well, obviously mayo--it's a tuna sandwich." She snapped back, "Well, I'm not a mind reader, and it's not obvious because it doesn't come with mayo." At that point I was frustrated and said, "Well, I'm not a mind reader either. I didn't know that." Her response was simply, "Oh my God." I was shocked by how rude and dismissive she was, especially over a simple misunderstanding. I asked if someone else could help me, and she said, "Whatever," before getting another employee, who was incredibly polite and helpful. To make matters worse, she then went into the back and very obviously started talking about me while pointing in my direction. It was completely unprofessional and made an already uncomfortable situation even worse. I've worked in customer service, and I understand that difficult customers exist. I was not rude to her, and there was absolutely no reason to be treated the way I was. I will never return after this experience. It's unbelievable that someone can speak to customers like that and act as though it's no big deal. The Chicken Diablo features glorious blend of spices, succulent chicken cutlet, glorious freshly made cheese, all warmed on a glorious Sesame Seed bread to my heart's delightful content and covered in onions that also are tasty, yummy, scrumdiddlyumptious and have their own unique spice blend I suspect. Tonight's hoagies were lackluster to say the least. The rolls were severely hard and crumbly. The 'Big T' was far from big. The lack of meat and cheese left me regretting ordering it thinking it would be a large hoagie. For the price, you'd think you would get a great portion and a great sandwich, but I was left hungry. 2 hoagies and $28 later, I could've ordered a pizza with appetizers for that cost. read more

Pretty standard experience here. This Primo is situated in the shopping center with A'Pizze, Yogo and that small liquor store. Across from CVS and Inspira Urgent Care. Most notable thing about this spot: They close surprisingly early. I didn't notice their hours (only until 4 on Sundays), so it was great they could accommodate me shortly before closing time. I ordered the mild Italian hoagie and it was freshly prepared within minutes. It was overall an acceptable hoagie, but you should only stop here in a pinch. There's really no need to choose this chain when you're surrounded by excellent local sandwich makers, like Ciconte's, Village Pub and Joe's. read more

Yea Stopped in for lunch yesterday after visiting the doctors don't worry.. I am good, minor hernia... needed to celebrate cause it looks like i will be avoiding surgery Used to go to these guys when i lived in Pa and i am a fan of theses guys.. them and "Cut Above". They both in my mind have great hoagies, and Italian specialty hoagies. I got the Italian Diablo on a Primo sized hoagie which was very good, but i had them add some prosciutto and long italian hots.Now the hoagies come already stacked and me adding prosciutto this bad boy was about to burst. I mean it looked like the seeds from the bread was gonna take out my flat screen. The bread they is their own, almost like a sarcone. They have great selections to choose from... even if you are a veggie person not into the meat scene. I like to get a "Nonna Veggie" (Nonna means grandmom in italian.. knowledge bomb) which is eggplant, sharp provo, some rabe and peppers(roasted) which is pretty damn good. I can drop alot of great hoagies i have had from these guys, but i don't think we want to sit here and thumb through pages and pages.. Ohh and rock out the Milano. Banging good.. myself i don't add lettuce just go with the tomato when they ask... This place is small has 2 or 3 tables for seating, plus they have some othere speacialty made items. I love Primos! Their Italian hoagie is my absolute favorite. The meats, cheese and other ingredients are always fresh and delicious. However, their rolls are what puts them over the top. They are that perfect combination of harder exterior and softer interior. Just perfect! The potato and pasta salads are fantastic as well. Your ordering system is extremely flawed. I have used it two times and had to wait much longer than the estimated times both times. Today I ordered at 11:30, it said it'd be ready by 12:25 and I didn't get my sandwich until 12:57. Yes, it essentially took an hour and a half for my sandwich to be made. It wasn't an overwhelming workload or fault of the workers, it's just an inefficient system that needs to be updated. I am a big fan of Primo's. My usual go-to sandwiches are either a Schwartzie (corned beef, Swiss, cole slaw, and Russian) or a Chicken Cutlet (with sharp provolone, L, T). Today I got the Chicken Cutlet. I love Primo's sharp provolone. It has just the right bite to it. I also love their shredded lettuce. However, I usually find myself ordering a regular rather than a Primo size, not because of portion size, but because, unless the roll is perfectly fresh, the seeded roll is too hard for my taste (the regular size does not have seeds). I ordered the Primo today and found the roll too hard once again. The sandwich was put together well, but I have begun ordering mayo on the side because they tend to be a little heavy handed with the mayo here. I gave this location three stars because of the roll, the limited hours, their speed of service, and the value for the dollar - prices are definitely on the high side, but worth it on occasion. read more

FINALLY.... New ownership! As you can see from other reviews on this Primo location, something WAS wrong here. The original owners were honestly terrible. We constantly had issues with orders, missing items, wrong items, long wait times. Earlier this year new management took over. The new owners are great, the staff is better, the food is finally consistent with other Primo's. We can now place orders and enjoy the food that we ordered THANK YOU! read more

I always enjoy Primo's hoagies, but sometimes you get ones that are great, and this location was Great! We where out for a drive to get the hell out of the house and we where wondering around south jersey and decided to grab a sandwich on the way home. I got a standard Italian hoagie with fresh mozzarella, which was perfect. My wife got the tuna Diablo, she loved it. I like the quality these guys bring but this location is the absolute WORST. This is coming from an entire workforce who has tried to go to them for lunch several times with poor results. Not only do they consistently forget items and substitutions, but they've overcharged several of us, (30 dollars for a primo sized hoagie!) and when you go back to get things right, they won't even offer an apology or anything. Sandwiches are great here compared to other Primo's I have tried. I believe the shop is under new management and still have not had any issues with my orders. Love the cheese steak with cheese whiz. I did try the chicken cheese steak and was not a fan. Other favorites are the chicken parm and bada bing sandwich. Basically all the chicken cutlet sandwiches are great. I came here for my lunch break today, heard great things about it so I had to try it! Upon entering, there were SO many choices for chips, for drinks, for sandwiches, for sides.. It was so hard to choose! I ended up getting the "white tuna" sandwich. It was pretty good for a healthy option at a sub shop, very fresh--I opted for no oil or oregano, but I would get it next time just to add more flavor as the tuna didn't have any seasoning and wasn't prepared like a salad (with mayonnaise, etc.). I loved the selection of iced tea, and chips! They had a lot of baked chips options as a healthy alternative as well as veggie chips as well. What more can be said about a Primo Hoagies that I haven't already said? Their sandwiches are amazing - delicious rolls packed full of quality meats and cheeses. I work in Carneys Point, which is essentially the middle of nowhere (home to Mr. Bruce Willis) so I was happy to hear that a Primos was close by. I called in my order and went to pick it up - easy as that. I ended up getting the veggie diablo - one of my favorite items on the menu. It didn't disappoint! The veggies were well cooked and the long hots gave the sandwich that slow burn that I love so much. If you haven't been to Primos, definitely check it out! read more

Unfortunately, this particular location failed to meet the minimum standard of just getting the order correct. There were problems on not just 1 sandwich but 2. A little more training on the menu and the POS system may prove helpful. Intense training on customer service and dispute resolution is also sorely needed. Do better please. read more

Primo's has become the typical chain sandwich place. I stopped in for lunch today and got a simple turkey and cheese. The sandwich was OK, but nothing stood out. The roll was a bit on the stale side. Their prices are through the roof compared to similar shops (not in the area as there is not much competition in the area). $12.50 for a sandwich and a little pasta salad cup...add a drink and that is another $2.00. That is a bit excessive if you ask me. If they had another deli open up I am sure it would hurt Primo's, but they are surviving on their name only. read more

This place has extremely slow service. Twice now I preordered a sub on my way to work and was told 20-25 minutes each time and ended up being 40-45 minutes and nearly making me late for work both times. I am done with this place. People have things to do and jobs and appointments they all can't be waiting 40 minutes for a sandwich. They also have a rewards program but the employees never remind you about it so half the time I forget to tell them and I don't get the points.
