When setting up boarding, I followed online steps to generate an estimate only to be told by automation that they didn't give estimates. Prepare for things like that to just happen. Good luck getting them to answer the phone. I tried putting my dog in daycare for a couple days so she could feel the place out before her stay and I kept getting brick-walled. They never, within 45 days, had an opening. I was told they were getting such a demand that they have to turn away regulars. When you set up a profile, you fill in important info about this and that. It's mostly easy. I did so, preparing for a getaway about a month and a half later. My puppy Angel wasn't spayed at the time. By the check-in date, she was spayed. I took her to the facility, signed her up, provided a bag of food I bought, and went on my trip. The website says they'll send you pics of your dog in activity. Two days into my vacation, no pics. I called, no answer, so I left a message. I was eventually texted back with them saying I hadn't signed up for it. Okay, my fault. Keep in mind, you have to sign up for this. Then I found out she wasn't playing with the other dogs because they had assumed she wasn't spayed. Again, I had no idea about this, but you have to take it upon yourself to update ALL information in the profile, as the staff operate off that. So...after finally getting someone on the phone, I had the profile updated and Angel was clear to play with other dogs. The pics they sent me were 4 blurry, hastily taken photos of Angel and another dog in the lobby. Nothing of her taking action in the play area or anything. And no photos of her playing the next day. While the woman who contacted me was great and literally went above and beyond in trying to please, the results weren't satisfactory. It's a good place - don't get me wrong. But they tell you almost nothing, the website features seem neglected, the pics weren't good and communication is tough to come by. A.

When we leave for work, we have no doubts in our mind that Melissa will be there for him at his schedule time. On top of that, she always texts us when she leaves and fills us in on their play date. Melissa has even watched Jax while my husband and I went on vacation. We always vacationed easy knowing that when Jax was with Melissa he was safe and fed, and most importantly getting tons of love and playtime! Melissa called back almost immediately and we set an appointment up for her to assess the dogs, our needs, etc. Zeke, my oldest is the one I gather from on who is a good guy or someone I need to watch. They don't love bath time at the self-serve dog wash stations, but don't seem to mind the nail clippings. I, on the other hand, appreciate the convenience of the elevated dog wash stations with the portable dryer. If preferred there is also a separate room available to dry your dog. With multiple stations and employees, we have always been able to walk in for a dog wash and nail trim. On busier days we have been added to a waitlist. The list moved quickly so it really only took and extra 5-10 min. We used that time to peruse the shelves, which we wanted to do anyway. Most of the items and services are reasonably priced for a specialty dog shop. Only thing I don't like is price difference between the nail trim and grinds. They seem to take roughly equal effort and time and other places charge the same price for either service. The website needs updating since I believe nail trims cost $15 and the nail grind is $25. The website lists $10. If I'm remembering correctly. The employees are all enthusiastic and helpful. They go out of their way to ensure you are assisted and offer to recommend products as needed to match your dog's preference. They will even assist with fitting your dog with a harness. We have visited numerous times for toys, treats, supplies, baths, and nail care. I appreciate their rewards program that offers complimentary treats and services. I recommend this dog shop to others and look forward to returning!

When I was obviously uncomfortable, her only response was that yes, she's recording and she doesn't need my permission! This pattern of her not caring about my needs would repeat in my appointment. I was very obviously not wanting that, but I had to ask her multiple times and she never even apologized. Recording people like she did and not stopping the 1st time is definitely crossing the line. Says everything about how much she cares about your needs, which reflects on how she'll care for pets. They did not ask my permission to pin my dog down on the table. He's very gentle and I didn't want him down there longer than he needed to be. They didn't listen to me beforehand when I told them that he doesn't like it. Instead of being Sorry they got angry at me and Dr. Bauer seemed to do a tit for tat thing in her head where she started complaining about the fact that my dog was on the examination table at all. She literally got angry at me because he was on the examination table. I have never in my entire life had a veterinarian behave this way. I even tried to smooth things over by apologizing and they still continued to be extremely rude. It wasn't a sincere apology, but I still said it kindly I just wanted them to be nice to my dog. What a nightmare. Furthermore, every single opinion I stated or response to any of their suggestions that indicated I was thinking for myself was met with criticism and disapproval, if not outright shaming and complaining. There was one time that her assistant was in the room alone with me and she got into this really Petty power struggle with me, because I said I can't control my pet 100% of the time which is just a fact. She then snitched on me to Dr. Bauer who proceeded to try and micromanage me in a different way. These people are just about control and ego imo. At the end, as we were wrapping up I was trying to explain something and she yelled at me, STOP!! Like a nazi. She rudely interrupted me and then had the nerve to say she wanted to talk. So she wants to talk but not listen? Even more shockingly, on the way out I said listen just don't hate me. Okay, please? Think anyone who is kind would have said something like of course not. I was truly amazed when all she said was "kay" as she walked out the door without a handshake or even a smile. Wow If you want to place that respects your opinion and values and active participant in caring about their dog, this is not the place. She is one of the worst and meanest vets I have ever encountered and she has absolutely no response for anyone but herself in my opinion. They also emailed me to tell me that they didn't want me as a patient anymore. Frankly, I was never planning to come back so I was relieved and of course not surprised by their ongoing rudeness and lack of respect.

We wanted to take a trip for a few days to New Orleans, and Bed & Biscuit was highly recommended. I emailed and was told there was an application process and I had to submit an application and then have Marlin sent for an evaluation day to make sure that he would be a good fit. I was so happy they did such a throughout application process. To some it may seem excessive but it means they actually care. He does not have much socializing as we live in the country and there aren't dogs that he sees on a regular basis. We have taken him to some dog parks but let's be honest some owners don't watch their dogs and so we tend to not take him often. We have taken him to the botanical gardens on their dog nights and he did well. He passed his evaluation and was able to be boarded for a few nights. They were nice enough to show us the grounds and explain in detail (Thanks Ms. Allison) everything that Marlin would experience while at camp! They said I could check in as often as I wanted to and that he would be taken care of. We dropped our sweet boy off and it broke my Mom heart, but I also knew, that he would be SO loved while we were away. Boy was I right. The first night of our trip, I sent an email to see how he was doing. I did not want them to think I did not trust them, but I also wanted to see how he was since this was his first time away from home and also socializing with others as well as us being so far from home. He was doing great. I was so happy. I picked him up and I could tell that he was happy to see me but then he was sad to leave. I was shown pictures of him on the trampoline and oh my goodness, I could tell that he had a blast and that we found our second home. He has been tired all day. I see that as a good sign that he had too much fun at camp. My husband and I have already talked about taking him for day care every month, at least a time or two so that he can keep the socializing up! Oh and all of the details that other places don't even think to do, I mean he came home with his first ever report card!! How cute was that? They really truly love what they do, and it shows. THANK YOU to the entire staff for taking such good care of our baby. We are SO happy to have found you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for caring for Marlin just like you would your dog. We are already looking at dates for Marlin to enjoy camp again. Thank you!!!

Our vet recommended this place as a venue that was known for working well with dogs who could be a pain in the butt. (That's not to say all dogs who come here have attitude problems, most of them don't) but if your pup can be a pain with strangers, Armadale works with the dogs comfort level, making them happy and giving you a sense of relief when you have to leave them for a bit. Fast forward two years later, our dog is happy to go here, and when we do have to leave town or have visitors come over to stay, I know he's happy and in good hands. The groomers here are especially patient with my dog, know his quirks and they are always able to send him back to me clean and polished up. The staff here really treats the dogs that come for a stay with the same love and attention as their own. They have a variety of options for activities and treats for the dogs and cats, including a Sunday brunch and play time with report cards. The a la cart menu can add up, but it's nice to be able to have the choice of these options making you and your pup feel right at home.
