They don't love bath time at the self-serve dog wash stations, but don't seem to mind the nail clippings. I, on the other hand, appreciate the convenience of the elevated dog wash stations with the portable dryer. If preferred there is also a separate room available to dry your dog. With multiple stations and employees, we have always been able to walk in for a dog wash and nail trim. On busier days we have been added to a waitlist. The list moved quickly so it really only took and extra 5-10 min. We used that time to peruse the shelves, which we wanted to do anyway. Most of the items and services are reasonably priced for a specialty dog shop. Only thing I don't like is price difference between the nail trim and grinds. They seem to take roughly equal effort and time and other places charge the same price for either service. The website needs updating since I believe nail trims cost $15 and the nail grind is $25. The website lists $10. If I'm remembering correctly. The employees are all enthusiastic and helpful. They go out of their way to ensure you are assisted and offer to recommend products as needed to match your dog's preference. They will even assist with fitting your dog with a harness. We have visited numerous times for toys, treats, supplies, baths, and nail care. I appreciate their rewards program that offers complimentary treats and services. I recommend this dog shop to others and look forward to returning!

This is the boogie boutique for your barking babies!! So many products I was looking for hours. We took 2 small dogs to get their claws filed down, and not a yipe was heard. Even my overly dramatic teacup chihuahua didn't cry. My roommate's papillon decided the bakery offerings were too good to pass by! She decided to go the self serve route while the human's talked! Snagging one on a lower shelf before she got busted by the cashier! Highly recommend this canine boutique!

When setting up boarding, I followed online steps to generate an estimate only to be told by automation that they didn't give estimates. Prepare for things like that to just happen. Good luck getting them to answer the phone. I tried putting my dog in daycare for a couple days so she could feel the place out before her stay and I kept getting brick-walled. They never, within 45 days, had an opening. I was told they were getting such a demand that they have to turn away regulars. When you set up a profile, you fill in important info about this and that. It's mostly easy. I did so, preparing for a getaway about a month and a half later. My puppy Angel wasn't spayed at the time. By the check-in date, she was spayed. I took her to the facility, signed her up, provided a bag of food I bought, and went on my trip. The website says they'll send you pics of your dog in activity. Two days into my vacation, no pics. I called, no answer, so I left a message. I was eventually texted back with them saying I hadn't signed up for it. Okay, my fault. Keep in mind, you have to sign up for this. Then I found out she wasn't playing with the other dogs because they had assumed she wasn't spayed. Again, I had no idea about this, but you have to take it upon yourself to update ALL information in the profile, as the staff operate off that. So...after finally getting someone on the phone, I had the profile updated and Angel was clear to play with other dogs. The pics they sent me were 4 blurry, hastily taken photos of Angel and another dog in the lobby. Nothing of her taking action in the play area or anything. And no photos of her playing the next day. While the woman who contacted me was great and literally went above and beyond in trying to please, the results weren't satisfactory. It's a good place - don't get me wrong. But they tell you almost nothing, the website features seem neglected, the pics weren't good and communication is tough to come by. A.

Them being a mobile groomer and coming to the house was super convenient, and they had several clients in our neighborhood. Our neighbor directly across the street would have her dog groomed at the same time as us. We had a standing appointment where they would come about every six weeks or so, and never had any problems with them - but something changed recently, and not sure what's happened with them. The last time they showed up was in November 2022. Our neighbor across the street asked me one day when the groomer was coming next, and it was then that I realized they hadn't been in a while and we were way past our normal schedule. I sent a text asking when they would be coming to see us, and a few hours later I got a text back "I was JUST about to text you!" with some story, and that they'd text me the following day to let me know. It's been my experience that any time someone says "I was JUST about to text (or call) you..." it's 99% likely they were NOT just about to. I let the neighbor know what they said, and she said "Well, at least you got a response. I've been texting them for two weeks, and no response from them." And of course, they never texted me the next day like they said they would. I started asking around online in different Raleigh groups, and found a bunch of people with the same experience with Grooming Spot recently. Grooming Spot also used to be very active on multiple social media sites, posting pictures at least weekly (sometimes daily) - but I've noticed they haven't posted anything since December 2022. I tried looking for a different mobile groomer, but every one I checked with that has good reviews is either booked full and not accepting new clients, or they're booked out three or more weeks - and my dogs couldn't wait that much longer, so I had to book them at a regular groomer and take them there. I'd say at this point it's highly unlikely we'll see the folks at Grooming Spot again, which is sad - because they used to be really good.

Last time, grooming was half done because my cat sat ALL day before they got to him and so he was not tolerating, but fully charged - no communication until after the fact. This time, we had an appointment for a BP recheck/bloodwork but sat for 45 minutes without being seen with no explanation. Ended up leaving because what's the point of the recheck now - he's stressed from sitting in the carrier for 45 minutes! Not to mention having to miss time from work for nothing. I get emergencies happen but there was ZERO communication. Terrible service. Then, I called my cardiac vet to schedule the recheck/blood work with them and it's going to be $150 cheaper!!! I clearly told Dr. Raegan Boeck, DVM that I wanted my dog's skin tags removed and his wound cleaned. The way it was communicated led me to believe this would all be done during that appointment under anesthesia, since we were specifically discussing removing the tags and I was never told it would require two appointments. I even asked the tech if I would need to come back and was told no. Only after the procedure was completed was I informed that my dog would need another appointment for the skin tags. To me, this feels either deceptive or incompetent, and I have been warning people I know not to bring their pets here.
