When my wife and I pulled off the interstate, we were honestly looking for Chinese food. But when we saw the sign for Prince Palace, we decided to go there instead. The service was awesome, and the server took the time to describe things that we had not eaten before, and asked what level of "heat" we wanted in our food. My wife wanted mild, but I like spicy. At first, my wife was only going to get a dessert, but after she tasted it, and had some of my naan bread, she ordered a main course. She had the palak paneer, with gajar halwa for dessert. I had their hot and sour soup followed by tandoori chicken. The whole meal was delicious, and even though it's quite a drive for us, we plan to visit again and again. The food wasn't that great. All you could taste in the dal makani was ginger. The bhajiyas were clearly refried because they were hard. I did like the fresh naan that came to the table - it was the only saving grace. The Kheer tasted weird like it had some other flavoring in it. I am very confused by the reviews. I went in on Saturday night and the gentleman suggested I come back on Sunday for the buffet so I left and decided to do that. My son and I went in Sunday around 1 pm. I made a plate with chicken biryani, chicken tikka masala and saag paneer. I took a bite of each item. No! Definitely the worse Indian food I've ever tried. No flavor, watery, tough chicken. The saag paneer had a weird aftertaste. I told my son let's go. His face mirrored mine as he tried his food. I had been here before years ago for the lunch buffet which I think I remember being good. But my takeaway dinner recently just didn't do it for me. the restaurant was clean and tidy when I picked up my food. My meal was the chicken soup, chicken saag, and garlic naan. The soup was excessively salty but tasty otherwise. I think they could take the salt down a notch and it would be near perfect. The saag chicken was a big disappointment. There was very little taste and zero spice. I know I didn't specify a spice level, but I was being cautious for a "first time". It needs more punch and the serving was rather small as well. Finally the garlic naan was lack luster as well. It's a bit of a drive for me, so I am not sure I will go back. But if you are in the area and comfortable giving direction to the server, it could be a great restaurant. read more

Pretty decent Indian food for the area! We ordered a variety of dishes, such as chili chicken, paneer tikka masala, and aloo jeera. I thought that the medium spice level was good. Everything was enjoyable. I have had better Indian food, though some taking off one star. I also prefer the texture of my paneer to be a little bit different than what I had and have a more marinated flavor. It just tasted like plain paneer tossed, into the tikka masala sauce. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and sat down and got our drink order. The atmosphere is very casual and relaxing. The Naan is amazing; I preferred the Bullt Naan, which is covered in species and topped with chilies. My wife, however, preferred the rosemary and garlic. The hot mango pickle contaminant was the right mixture of flavor and spice. The seasoned vegetables and potatoes are the standard side dishes; I had the Prince Palace mixed Grill, chick, and Boti Lamb, and the Rosemary Boti Kebab, a marinated lamb with various spices. We also ordered the Lamb Rogan Gosh and the Mango chicken to go and piled on additional Naan. The downside they did not offer my favorite side, onion chutney, nor did they offer a true version of Kadhai Paneer. Despite this the next time through GA, we will definitely be back! read more

Jennifer Love Hewitt And so my ongoing crush on Jennifer Love Hewitt continues, as does my love for Indian buffets. I've had Prince Palace Indian Bistro twice now. First a delivery, then a lunch buffet. The delivery consisted of Malai kofta, Shahi paneer, basmati rice, and naan bread. The order was delivered on time. The portion size of the Malai Kofta was great. While the flavor was there in both the Malai Kofta and Shahi Paneer, and while these are usually mild dishes, they were both way too mild. If ordering again I'd make a note to indicate a higher spice level. The weekend buffet was around $14 and had a good selection of both vegetarian and non-veg options. I had the Pakoda fritters, vegetable curry, Tadka Dal, Matar Paneer, and a cabbage dish. Interestingly the Pakodas were the standout, as most of the time these are just second thoughts on a buffet, these were well done and very flavorful. For the most part the other entrees all followed the pattern of the delivery. Good flavor but lacking spice and heat. My general sense is that they are trying to appeal to a wider audience, so they have tamed down the spice levels. After making several trips to the buffet, "pigging out" JLH style, I ended my gluttony with my favorite Indian dessert. A piping hot Gulab Jamun ball. The service at Prince Palace was fantastic. We ordered Prince Palace after seeing all the positive reviews on Yelp. This was a mistake. We ordered: -Prince Palace Mix Grill: this was a terribly overcooked set of meat, including chicken, shrimp and lamb. There was very little of each (I think there were no more than 2 small pieces per item) and they were all rubber. It was hard to swallow it down! -chicken Choila: I wish I never tasted this. The mustard oil used in this dish was HEARTBURN. The chicken itself was cooked okay, but I couldn't get the flavor out of my mouth. Whatever you order, PLEASE do not order this unless you don't like food. -chicken chowmein: this is what we fought over, because out of all the dishes, this was okay. The veggies in it were still crispy, and the noodles were decent in flavor. Not bad! -chicken 65: this is not your typical 65 - it's more of a little gravy-based dish, with some battered chicken in it. Not very flavorful - just tasted like slightly wet battered chicken. I was hoping we found a new Indian place to add to our restaurant repository to order from/eat at, but alas, this place misses the mark by a lot. read more

Excellent vegan options - When you hear about a new restaurant, that has almost 100, 5-star reviews, that sounds like the perfect place for wifey's kidless birthday dinner date. Everything was fabulous but what stood out were 1) they brought a fried fritter thing (pakoda?) with three flavorful chutneys complimentary 2) the noodle dish (chow fun) was freaking amazing 3) curry was cooked to perfection, cauliflower potato, okra 4) only place, we have been able to get stuffed roti which is like Naan, but they put potatoes and peas inside them, like little sandwiches and 5) the momo were veggie Indian dumplings. read more

This place is a hidden gem! I was searching for new Indian places to try and this place looked great. It is right off Jiles Rd in the Kroger shopping center in the strip area. We then looked over the menu and ordered our food and they ask you what spice level you would like and we got medium. Everything we got to eat was fantastic and the amount of heat was great! We ordered to-go for our second time. It was easy to order over the phone, and ready quickly, hot upon pickup. It was a Saturday night around 8, I believe. They were friendly as I came to get the food. We ordered: butter chicken- delicious and creamy. chicken curry-- not your typical Indian curry- not creamy at all, more like flavorful brothy stew- perhaps this was a Nepalese dish? I was hoping for creamy Indian curry. It came w their plain rice- very good and fresh. Lamb biryani - good but rice a tad dry compared to other places. Still delicious, and good spicy at medium spice. Lamb was tender. Chicken momos steamed (dumplings)- very good and fresh-- love that they have Nepalese options. I miss eating that from California. Garlic naan- good and flavorful, I just prefer it crispier but that's hard to find at most places. I just threw it in the toaster oven a little and so good! Loved dipping in the butter chicken sauce mmm It came w two side sauces, one for the momos, and one raita (yogurt sauce) which was good to cool down the spice of things. We enjoyed it and want to try new items, and try to find the Indian curry on the menu that is creamy. But most of all.... WE WANT TO TRY THE LUNCH BUFFET!!! I ordered the butter chicken, which was sweeter with a heavier tomato base and a thinner sauce than I personally prefer. The vindaloo chicken was nicely spiced but the potatoes were undercooked. I ordered from the Nepali menu and this was an unknown region of food for me so I took a chance with the chicken choila. It had an interesting taste profile..I didn't love it or hate it. It was good. The cheese Naan was soft and delicious, I found the garlic Naan to be on the drier side but still good. Overall, I found the quality of meat to be great just the flavor profiles and sauce consistency not to my personal likings. Service was friendly and quick to check me out when I arrived. Husband and I had heard great stuff about this family run, new establishment. Everything we had was fresh, cooked to order and very tasty! Husband had Lamb Rogan Josh and I had Chicken Tikka Marsala, plus veggie samosas and naan. The spices in all the dishes were so defined and well balanced. The heat of our dishes was prepared exactly to our liking. Couldn't ask for a better experience eating out! KC was very helpful and an excellent server/owner. We also commended the cook ( KC's dad). Food! Above any other Indian restaurant I've eaten in Kennesaw, Prince Palace has the best tasting food. The spice level (I ask for medium) is right on point with hot enough to make me take notice, but not too hot that it makes me sweat. Everything tastes good. We love Prince Palace! It's recently (ish) gone through a change of owners, but we still love to frequent. We went in the other day hoping for the buffet, and they didn't have it open... Maybe limiting the buffet hours? So we ordered tikka masala and chicken biryani. The flavors are so good and packed with a punch.
