    Chicken 65- nicely spiced!
    Kat S.

What a snug little gem hiding off the square in Woodstock. I was in love with every bite I had. The service was gold star, too. From filling water glasses to clearing used plates to checking in us- various employees interacted with us with grace and professionalism. My two dear friends and I arrived at 12:30 and we were one of two tables occupied and the , 15 minutes later, the restaurant began to fill. The menu is tidy and to the point. Most dishes can be made with tofu, chicken, beef, shrimp or lamb. We jumped on some appetizers to start and they were all winners. Of the three-Chicken 65, garlic naan with roti sauce, and Paneer Pakora- I don't know that I could pick a favorite. They were tasty, freshly prepared and wonderfully presented. I chose chicken tikki masala as my entree and it was a home run. The boneless chicken was floating in a spicy tomato based sauce with a slight swirl of cream. I wanted a straw for every last drop. There were a couple of times during the meal when I got wonderful whiffs of the meat and other items being cooked. The charred, fired smell was enchanting. The place is located on the end a small strip of stores. There was plenty of parking. (I don't think I noticed what the other store fronts did next door). I have tried a couple of Indian restaurants in the greater East Cobb area and I will share this is at the top of my list. I loved it!

Garlic naan, butter chicken, lamb vindaloo

First time checking this place out since we moved to downtown Woodstock and it was excellent! I got the lamb vindaloo and butter chicken all to myself with some garlic naan and I ate every last bite. The flavors were wonderful in both, but I think the vindaloo might have been my pick out of the two. The potato's in the vindaloo were also excellent. Great, classic garlic naan. I finished with a lovely masala chai and it was exactly as I hoped! The staff were very friendly and the restaurant itself was a nice, cozy atmosphere. Will definitely be back here!

We have made Sizzling Spices a regular meal stop for us in recent weeks. Their menu offers a variety of HALAL dishes that are all very tasty. At this evenings dinner, we started by sharing the Butter Chicken Samosa (2 per order) and Mango Lassi. Both were delicious. For meal, we shared a variety of dishes including the butter chicken, lamb korma, lamb vindaloo, lamb biryani, and tandoori chicken. The family rated their meals as follows: Butter chicken- 3.5/4 ~ the taste of the sauce reminded us more of a tikka masala and didn't match the flavor of the sauce that was presented with the samosa for appetizer. Lamb Korma- 4.5/5 Lamb Vindaloo- 4/5 ~ asked for very spicy and didn't come out as spicy as expected; taste was still there Lamb Biryani- 4/5 Tandoori Chicken- 4/5 ~ came out sizzling hot and filled the entire restaurant with its spice smell! It tasted just as good as it looks. We all enjoyed our meals and trying each others food as well. The garlic naan was paired well and was needed to soak up the extra sauce. Overall, the space is always welcoming and kept clean, the staff are quick and friendly, and the food is always delicious. We will continue to stop when in need of tasty Indian food. Food- 4/5 Service- 5/5 Ambiance- 4.5/5 (gets really cold when door opens!)

I love sizzling spices! The owners are very sweet and the ambiance of the restaurant is really nice. Very cozy and relaxed, but nicely decorated and very clean. I usually get take out and I try something different every time. I've never been disappointed! My favorites are the palak paneer, Chana masala, and the chicken korma. I think this is the only Indian food in the area, and they really have come through to provide an amazing dining experience!

Great food! Large portions! Very clean restaurant with excellent service! I ordered the lunch special!

Food was the best Asian food I have had since moving to Georgia. Highly recommend! Service was polite and unobtrusive, and the manager/ owner was a delight to talk to. Everything is freshly cooked and came out hot and very tasty! I had the Sizzling Chicken Tikka Kebab and I loved it with an Aloo Gobi and Basmati Rice. My husband had the ChicKen Tikka Masala and he was very happy with the aromatic sauce and quality of the tender chicken. The Rice Pudding for dessert was a nice finishing touch and we left feeling very full and satisfied. So glad we found this gem!

Chicken 65, Malai Kofta, Palak Paneer, Garlic Naan, Rice

This was a solid meal. The naan was fresh and soft. If you like garlic naan, go for it. We got the Chicken 65, Palak Paneer and Malai Kofta (chef's special). The medium spice level was a comfortable and tasty level but if you love spice then you could go for hotter. Good atmosphere and service. There is a good amount of seating inside for the volume of guests. Also has several tables that could accommodate ~10 people so good for a medium sized group if you are patient. Plenty of vegetarian and non-veg options. Plenty of free parking in the surface lot right in front of restaurant

Food, service and decor. Was absolutely amazing! The owners and staff were very attentive. The food was perfect, authentic, spiced perfectly and delicious! I will 100% drive an hour to come back. I highly recommend the lamb vindaloo and coconut chicken curry.

Great ambiance and service. Food was good too. We ordered Jhol momos, palak paneer and roti. Momos were ok, palak paneer didn't look green or how a typical palak paneer would look like neither there was much paneer in the curry. Roti was really good. We have also got a generous amount of rice along with palak paneer.

In case you missed it - June 2nd was SP's 1 Year Anniversary We've eaten here multiple times at this point, and we love the food from this family establishment. Do note - it's Nepalese and not Indian - so expect a unique take on all of the known Indian faves on the menu. Their hand-made Momo's are to die for So is their Korma Naan is excellent ‼ We've tried practically the entire menu and it's great - highly recommended !

Went here on a whim after work. Glad we did. We both had Chicken Tikka Masala and garlic Naan. We shared a chicken 65 and momos. All very agreeable and delicious. Only regret that I didn't get the tikka spicer. The staff was so nice and talkative. If you're ever in Woodstock try this place out. It doesn't look like much from the outside but once you go in everything is cute and dainty.

Best Indian food I've found in Woodstock! They actually use heat in their food instead of white people level spice. Thank you thank you

That would be a great place to have a bite and a few drinks on a nice day. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive which was much appreciated after a long day. There was an excellent selection of cocktails and drinks. My fiancé had a basil gin and tonic and it was one of the best cocktails I've ever tasted. The fresh muddled basil took it to the next level. For entrees I went with the Greek salad with grilled salmon. The portion was huge! The salmon filet was much larger than anticipated and went perfectly with the vinaigrette paired with the salad. My fiancé can't stop raving about the peach bourbon burger he ate. I would certainly come back if I find myself back in the Canton area!

With a heavy mound of onions and mushrooms on top, the grits ended up feeling dry and pulled all the moisture out of the bite. The flavor itself was fine, just lacking moisture and balance. We also ordered the scallops and risotto. The risotto was the standout. Bright, fresh finish, great texture, and not overpowering. The scallops, unfortunately, were the opposite. They had a noticeably strong smell right away, which usually means they're not as fresh as they should be, especially at a $40 price point. We took them home, but every time we opened the fridge the smell hit us, so they ultimately went in the trash. Despite this particular experience, we've always enjoyed this place. Service is consistently great, drinks are solid, and we usually leave happy. Hoping this was just an off evening, because we genuinely like coming here. Adding an additional * for the great service and because we haven't had a bad experience otherwise.
