Super happy I found this salon. I had been going to the same nail tech for many many years and had asked her about doing gel x nails and she kept saying no not at this time and that kept happening. I wanted to get away from acrylic as I had been doing them for over 30 years. So I recently had to go in for surgery and knew recovery was going to be over a month so I took off my nails and that would be the perfect time to move on... So fast forward to today (6 weeks post surgery) finally ready to get a new set so I went to Yelp to find a new place that had high star reviews within 25 min of my house and found this place. So called and made a same day appointment and was set with Ivan. I'm so happy Ivan took the time to listen to what I wanted and knowing this was my first gel x set he talked about the process and we were ready to go. Then he checked in several times to make sure I was happy with the length and shape which I totally am. So needless to say Ivan's my new nail tech!!! So glad. I love this nail salon! I live very close to another similar type of nail place, but I will continue to go here instead because of their superior customer service and skills. They do a meticulous job no matter which technician ends up doing my nails. I usually just get a regular spa pedi/mani (they also do gel and special powders, plus acrylics) and I am always happy with the results for the price. The place is clean and they take walk-ins, but I have had to come back another day with an appointment since they were booked one time when I walked in. I have always been greeted right away with a friendly attitude, and they give you a small bottle of water when you sit down for your service. I came in without an appointment a week after getting a pedicure there, because I stepped on something at home which caused my toenail polish to chip, and they welcomed me into a chair right away and touched up that toe and a few others that needed it free of charge. Both times I have come here have been absolutely fantastic. The gentleman at the front (who I assume may actually be the owner?) is always so welcoming and friendly. Additionally, this salon is so clean! It always smells fresh and is spotless inside. They play music quietly and are always playing something entertaining on the TV. The polish and scrubs are organized very neatly throughout the salon and its overall very carefully taken care of on the inside. The technicians always keep their stations sanitized and use new/clean tools. Dee, Tina, and Nikki all do great work -- fairly thorough but still gentle. With this, the prices are some of the best in the area. You can get an upgraded pedicure (callus removal and sugar scrub/moisturizer + regular polish) for under $40. Each technician I have had has done a very clean job with the polish. They trim evenly, do good cuticle work, and file gently. I **highly** recommend this place, and cannot believe they aren't always packed!!!! Next time you visit Banana Dang, stop and get a pedicure after. read more

The salon itself is very clean, organized and has a nice ambience. However, I did take off 1 star for two reasons- communication was poor in that the nail tech put on gel polish without asking me... I was surprised and caught off guard when I went to pay and it was $44 vs $30. Also, about 4 nails were filed at an angle (not straight) and my pinky toenail was missing polish on 25% of it. read more

Nothing too special about Forever Nails. I decided to give this place a try because my usual place is always so crowded and overwhelmed that my appointment time is almost never honored on time. I was able to get an appointment within a few hours of calling in to Forever Nails and they did see me on time. Everyone was friendly and greeted me upon walking in. My nail tech was quiet. I'm not quite sure my nail tech used sanitized tools though. I didn't see him open a sealed package of tools in front of me. The emery board he used was also clearly worn down! My gel application is uneven. It's thicker/wavier on some of my nails. I asked the nail tech to keep the same shape as before (a shorter stiletto shape) but he rounded my nails a bit more than my liking and my thumbs are completely round. I appreciated the brief forearm and palm massage but it was a little odd and drying because he used hand sanitizer instead of lotion! It would've also been nice to get some cuticle oil. All that acetone and hand sanitizer is really drying. There's also mosquitos. I'm now the proud owner of a few bug bites. I wasn't expecting that add-on... overall I won't be going back. read more
