I love this nail salon! I live very close to another similar type of nail place, but I will continue to go here instead because of their superior customer service and skills. They do a meticulous job no matter which technician ends up doing my nails. I usually just get a regular spa pedi/mani (they also do gel and special powders, plus acrylics) and I am always happy with the results for the price. The place is clean and they take walk-ins, but I have had to come back another day with an appointment since they were booked one time when I walked in. I have always been greeted right away with a friendly attitude, and they give you a small bottle of water when you sit down for your service. I came in without an appointment a week after getting a pedicure there, because I stepped on something at home which caused my toenail polish to chip, and they welcomed me into a chair right away and touched up that toe and a few others that needed it free of charge. I will always come back to Forever Nails! read more

It was easy to book an appointment over the phone. I arrived 15 minutes early and they were able to take me right away. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The salon was clean and their prices are reasonable. I got a spa pedicure and a black French tip gel manicure. With two technicians working on my nails, everything was done in under an hour, which I really appreciated. My nails came out pretty good. read more

Great nail technicians for great prices. They take walk-ins and are very accommodating, making sure we were all taken care of with wattle bottles and checking little things like if the water temperature was ok or showing us the first nail before continuing in case we didn't like the color. Nice location because it's next to Banana Dang Coffee which is a great place to pick up a coffee on your way into the nail place. read more

Ivan did an excellent job in my pedicure! Staff is very polite, and explains every step of the process. Ivan made sure I liked the water temp, shape of the nail, color, etc. He took his time, and paid attention to every tiny detail. I'm often left wishing my nail-techs cover all of my nail bed, Ivan made sure my design went all the way to each corner! I had a super relaxing experience as well, I am so happy, and will be returning! read more

I came here after repeated bad experiences at Elite Nails in Vista and I am so happy I did!! The staff is very friendly, welcoming and attentive. The salon itself is very clean, organized and has a nice ambience. The two women who did my nails were very kind in asking and catering to my preferences and checked if I was happy with my nails after each step. Prices are also very fair: $38 for gel manicure and $44 for gel pedicure. This will definitely be my new regular nail salon! read more

Very friendly, and nail tech did a good job overall. They accommodated me even with it being 30 mins before closing! However, I did take off 1 star for two reasons- communication was poor in that the nail tech put on gel polish without asking me... I was surprised and caught off guard when I went to pay and it was $44 vs $30. Also, about 4 nails were filed at an angle (not straight) and my pinky toenail was missing polish on 25% of it. read more

I 10/10 recommend Forever Nails. Every time I come in the staff is extremely kind and Nathan always takes his time and makes my nails perfect. I had a mother-daughter date planned, my daughter really wanted to get acrylic nails. I found this place on yelp and figured I'd give it a try. I was not disappointed! This place is great! They were kind, courteous, and professional. We each got Pedicures and a full set of acrylics. I was a little embarrassed, because my nails were a hot mess, but they treated us with respect and kindness, and made us feel so pampered. It's a very clean, family owned business, and their work was fantastic! The prices are great too! I highly recommend this place! We will be back when we're ready for a fill. I am currently in a spa pedicure chair and could not wait to post my experience. Honestly this is THE best pedicure and manicure I have ever had! Both technicians were friendly and thorough! They take pride in their work and do everything in their power to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. I had a Forever Spa Pedicure ($42 highly recommend it!) and a Deluxe Manicure ($20). After a horrible experience at Pixie nails, was pleasantly surprised about how great this place is! I called in to ask if they had any time to do 2 fills for my friend and I and they told us they could squeeze us in. When we got a little bit lost on the way there, they even called me to confirm that I was still coming in so that they wouldn't give our spot away! I felt such a warm welcome, they have a large variety of colors, the place smelled and looked sparkling clean. Nothing too special about Forever Nails. I decided to give this place a try because my usual place is always so crowded and overwhelmed that my appointment time is almost never honored on time. I was able to get an appointment within a few hours of calling in to Forever Nails and they did see me on time. Everyone was friendly and greeted me upon walking in. My nail tech was quiet. I'm not quite sure my nail tech used sanitized tools though. I didn't see him open a sealed package of tools in front of me. The emery board he used was also clearly worn down! My gel application is uneven. It's thicker/wavier on some of my nails. I asked the nail tech to keep the same shape as before (a shorter stiletto shape) but he rounded my nails a bit more than my liking and my thumbs are completely round. I appreciated the brief forearm and palm massage but it was a little odd and drying because he used hand sanitizer instead of lotion! It would've also been nice to get some cuticle oil. All that acetone and hand sanitizer is really drying. There's also mosquitos. I'm now the proud owner of a few bug bites. I wasn't expecting that add-on... overall I won't be going back. read more

They did offer a $20 refund after I called, but overall there was a serious lack of communication and quality. Customers should know beforehand when an advertised part of a service is unavailable. The problem is receiving conflicting information and feeling like my request for a specific technician is repeatedly being disregarded. This has happened before as well. I once requested a pedicure with Tara and was booked with someone else instead. The receptionist has also been rude, confused appointment times, and then blamed the clients for the confusion. It's extremely frustrating because when you find a nail technician whose work you love, you naturally want to continue booking with that person. Instead of simply being honest about Tara's availability, I have repeatedly been given inconsistent information or booked with someone else. Tara is wonderful and does excellent work. My review is not a reflection of her service at all. Unfortunately, the way appointments are handled at the front desk has made me no longer want to return to this salon

Today, I called again specifically requesting Tara, and once again I was told that she does not do gel manicures and that if I wanted that service, I would need to book with someone else. I completely understand if the nail technician I want is unavailable at the time or on the day I'm requesting. That is not the issue. The problem is receiving conflicting information and feeling like my request for a specific technician is repeatedly being disregarded. This has happened before as well. I once requested a pedicure with Tara and was booked with someone else instead. The receptionist has also been rude, confused appointment times, and then blamed the clients for the confusion. It's extremely frustrating because when you find a nail technician whose work you love, you naturally want to continue booking with that person. Instead of simply being honest about Tara's availability, I have repeatedly been given inconsistent information or booked with someone else. Tara is wonderful and does excellent work. My review is not a reflection of her service at all. Unfortunately, the way appointments are handled at the front desk has made me no longer want to return to this salon

I've been coming to Forever Nails since I was a child. 15 years and counting to be exact and wouldn't trust anyone but Kim for my nails and eyebrows. Kim is not only thorough but she is personable and funny! She never lets me leave unless I am 100% satisfied with the final product which makes her special in my book. I still remember Kim and Don leaving Forever Nails and I was devastated. Luckily for me, retirement was too boring for them so they decided to come back. They even called me to tell me the wonderful news! I now go there monthly for Kim to fix my bushy eyebrows and keep my nails looking fresh. I get compliments every time! They accept walk ins but I always try to book an appointment first. Family own establish is really something I enjoy in Vista - so I am glad Forever Nails bring that family vibe. They treat me and my friends as if I am a part of their family. I sometimes even ask them to tell me the truth on how certain colors look on me or a picture of an outfit I tried on and Kim always gives me an honest answer. What really encouraged me to write my review is because I wanted to share a more recent experience I had. I got married a few months ago and had to arrange mani and pedis for our bridal party. Of course, me being me, had to wait until the very last minute to schedule the appointment. Keep in mind I was requesting 5 manis and 5 pedis on a Friday night after 7pm. Knowing how important this was, Kim and Don did everything they could to make it work. They even rescheduled their personal plans to take care of us! If it is your first time coming there and they are busy, don't be discourage. They usually try their best to take care customers as they come in. If it is your first time coming here and they are not busy, yay for you! Best hours are usually during the day time during the work week. Weekends are a little busier but they have their quiet moments too! read more

I went to this place as a new customer as I'm desperatly trying to find a long term relationship with a nail salon here in Vista. Don and Kim were very, very nice people, don't get me wrong - good people. However, I felt the pricing I got over the phone and what I really ended up paying (I normally would pay $30 for a very, very good job was unreasonable). The place was not all that clean - e.g.; the nail tools that were touching my very raw nail beds, and the files and tools not so new, so the grinding/filing wasn't well done. The "balance" of the nails that were put on was way off on several nails (one side visibly higher than the other), Don didn't file down the underside of the nails so my nails are filtly underneath as they weren't well glued on properly, so my real nail isn't attached and gets things underneath all of them. I'd like to go to Kim and get last extensions though and try out the service as I felt she was an honest person and gave me realistic expectations so we'll see - but I certainly won't get my nails done there again. Just my opinion and experience though :) read more

Wow. Seriously, just WOW. After searching for 5 months & trying 8 different salons- I found this place. What a gem. I'm not picky- I look for 3 things in a nail shop- cleanliness, friendliness, and a job that lasts longer than 5 days (paint chipping, lifting etc). This place exceeded all of my expectations! And when the bill came I was shocked.... It was much CHEAPER than I am used to paying! The owner walked around to make sure everyone had what they needed. Kim did a perfect shape on both my eyebrows and my nails.... I can't really say how happy I am to have found this place! I searched for so long I had become accustomed to mediocrity--- This place is CLEAN, it was affordable, and most importantly- they did a FANTASTIC job! I will be going back here for all my future salon needs & will probably update this with more suggestions... but for now I can simply say- GO CHECK THIS PLACE OUT- you won't regret it. read more

I absolutely love this place. I did research on the best nail places near me and I saw all and I mean all great reviews. So me and my step mom walked in and we had an appointment for 2 pedicures and 2 full nail sets and they got us seated right away. They were super friendly and the whole time was taking to us and we made friends with the other costumers and we over all had a great time talking and making friends with Kim and Don. They both are so amazing Don did my actual nails and Kim painted them. Also in the time we were there we met some of the 20 year costumers and they were telling us how they absolutely love this nail salon and the people who work there. Overall Me and my stepmom had a great experience and will be coming back in the next time we need a fill and every time after that. read more

My mom has been coming here for 7 years and has raves about this place. As stubborn as I am it took me that long and after trying a few new places and wasn't satisfied, I finally gave in. I have been coming to Kim for 25 years and she always does a great job on my nails she is quick and gets her job done, she also does a great job on my eyebrow wax as well. she takes pride in her work and always accommodates her customers in anyway she can. she has a great staff and if you have ingrown toe nails Kim knows how to take them out without you feeling any pain if you want a pedicure I would recommend this place. read more

Lumpy, not filed correctly, acrylic and paint spillage that were obvious.. Admittedly a perfectionist when it comes to something I will wear every day, but these didnt even last a week. My usual nail lady was disappointed, said something about their product, filing and painting jobs (see pictures) and asked if their place/procedures seemed clean to me. It was weird that they didnt have me wash my hands at any point during the acrylics, and I didn't actually see where they pulled their sterilized(?) tools from either. In the end, she ended up taking off half of my nails that she didnt want me to keep on because of possible fungus from water damage, then refiled and repainted. Other than that, the place was clean, cute, the techs polite! An old regular came in and they all exchanged hugs and "imissedyou!"s. I thought that was sweet, so I'm not surprised they do have return customers. I'd make an appt before coming in bc theres a chance no one will be there since they are a mom/daughter shop and set their own hours. Overall, wouldn't recommend, but thanks to the atmosphere I may show up again and try a pedicure. Just NO more acrylics.
