I want to start off with the staff, they were very friendly and welcoming. This was my first time in. I had an appointment for an acrylic full set and saw great reviews online. I provided a picture of what I was hoping to get. I walked out with something much different but that wasn't my main concern. I walked out with extremely sore fingers/cuticles that were cut, sidewalls that were far over filed and gel polish already chipping after one hand wash. I'm hoping my fingers heal quickly and there isn't long term damage to my nail beds. read more

I really wanted to like this nail salon. I was looking for a place to do my nails regularly and since this place is very close to where I live, I thought I would give it a try. I have my nails always done and on point. I asked for dipping powder but at the end, they refused to cure my nails saying it's more shiny without curing. They didn't last 2 days. I'm very disappointed. It's not worth the 55$ for one day nails. I've seen a lot of different nail salons quality but this one is by far the worst. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!! They ruined my damn nails after I told them I have never had acrylic on my toes and forced me to try acrylic because I wanted GEL FRENCH TIP! I asked for a pedicure & they told me it was an additional fee on top of getting my toes done so they didn't even do a pedicure but charged me $55 for my pedicure that I hated! I wanted gel French tip & they told me it wouldn't look good because normally women get acrylic on their toes!!! Secondly, they were charging me 75 for my hands! The girl was trying to charge me $95 for basic French tip without design or diamonds! She ended up charging me $75 for my nails plus $10 for length when I didn't even get long nails!! In total I got scammed for $140 & I still tipped each girl $10 for work so in total I paid $160! They kept talking in their language & they'd stay constantly turning to look at me and my feet when they spoke non English! Worst salon ever! It's been since 2020 that I go back to a salon & they ruined my natural nails as you can see my big toe is naturally squared!!! What they did is unforgivable & should not be forcing customers acrylic on toes because they think gel french tips don't look good! It's not them wearing the nails!!!!! I've got to be candid here. First of all, this place is clean. The technician opened a sterile nail kit. Major impressed. My technician was a male and super nice! I tried this place for the first time. I walked in and said I wanted a gel manicure. I picked a color that was on display and I was told bla bla bla. Like the color doesn't exist. So I picked a color from one of their boards. I was told it was dip. I had that done pre-Covid my best guess. Not enamored with super thick nail products that do not entirely cover the nail bed. Some residue is on my skin. I was not aware the $45.00 price tag, plus the $10.00 tip = $55.00 did not include a "manicure" which I specifically asked for. I will reiterate, my technician was exceptionally nice. I told him I was very disappointed with my service and he invited me back. He is an asset to the company. However, $55.00 and no manicure?! It's most unfortunate I need to pay someone this weekend to correct a $55.00 nail job. read more

Regular spa pedicure for $30! Sealed packaging for tools was a new and welcome experience for me. The salon is clean, relatively quiet with only one TV on a musical channel. Zina was gentle, efficient and gave a good foot massage. Definitely planning on a return visit. read more

Went in and got my nails done tonight by Ruby. She was very detail oriented and went above and beyond to make sure everything with my nails was perfect. I went in with a photo for inspiration, showed it to Ruby and she was able to replicate it perfectly! This will definitely be my new go to nail salon. I was taking the time for some self-care and decided to get a basic pedicure to get my feet in shape. After looking around in Oceanside, I found J's Nails & Spa in Vista and I'm glad I did. I called about 8 minutes in advance and they accepted me as a Walk-In . They had a few clients already in , but in under 5 minutes I was being taken care of. Their establishment is clean and the ambiance was upbeat with the 90's pop & alt-rock music playing on tv. Chairs were comfortable with built-in massage controls. I received good treatment and my basic pedicure was $35 and that's with no polish or extras. In the end, I got fast and friendly service for a decent rate and I'm happy that they also have a reward program too. Great experience at J's Nails & Spa. read more

For your own safety, PLEASE do not come to J's nail. The woman that did my full set acrylics was clearly new, she put the powder down to my cuticles, anyone that knows about nails will tell you this is bad because it causes lifting and other complications. She also messed up the shape when I was SO CLEAR what i wanted i even brought multiple examples of the shape I hoped to get. The whole application was wrong, So I requested someone else to fix it. The second person couldn't fix the awful shape, and in the process she SLICED MY SKIN. It wouldn't stop bleeding. The worse part is she wasn't going to adress the fact that I was bleeding, she was going to keep going. It wasn't till I said something that she put alcohol on it. At this point I absolutely lost it and I called the owner over, I was very upset about this whole experience to the point I was shaking and he told me to calm down... SIR YOUR WORKER CUT ME AND IT TOOK 40 MINUTES FOR IT TO STOP BLEEDING?! His attempt at de-escalating the situation and his whole approach was making it it seem to be no big deal. This is an awful way to run a business. I didn't sign up to be someone's test guinea-pig I wanted a nice spa day that turned into a nightmare. In the end he said I didn't have to pay for the nails or I could come back to get them fixed but I was not going to waste any more time, gas, and resources to come back to this awful business. They should be ashamed of themselves. read more

I got served right as i got there!! they did a different design on each hand and they look amazing!!! At J's they're very detailed and my acrylics always come out looking better than the picture I show them. Everyone there is incredibly kind and do such detailed and amazing work. First time I went and Jonny worked on me super happy . The second time however I was so put off by how rude he waa to me. I had requested a fill and basic nail art , a french tip with bats. I was also getting a pedi as well. I could sense some weird irritation by Jonny while doing my nails. When he finished my nails he said "I hope your happy they were alot of work" i sent my inspo pic ahead of time and never complained about pricing however that comment wasn't nescessary. My nails were 105.00 and my pedi was 45 I still tipped well total including tip 195.00 . I kept thinking after the visit that he was rude so I cancelled my next fill and pedi. I would encourage being more polite. I don't mind paying, but the attitude needs work. read more
