Heard great reviews about this place so I came for a fill because my usual nail tech is on vacation. I've been getting gel acrylics since 2015 and have been getting fills ever since. This is the first time where gel lifted off my nail the very next day. I came back and Lani told me it's my fault because I didn't place my fingers right. I guess I'm supposed to know how to use her blue light machine. She could have just told me in the moment rather than tell me when I had to inconveniently come back. She even said it's happened to many customers which tells me it's the nail tech's issue, not the customer. Guess it's my fault that the gel didn't set, something she should have checked for since it happens so often. I left feeling ashamed and embarrassed bc I got yelled at for a mediocre job she did. She pulled my fingers and moved my arms harshly and aggressively and filed harder than she did yesterday. I could tell she was annoyed bc she didn't do this yesterday. I had to ask her to please be more gentle which is so unbelievable. Ps, I called ahead and I still waited 20 minutes to get a repair. Terrible first impression. Walked in and the estimated 10 minute wait turned into a 40 minute wait. Was going to walk out, but I was already 15 minutes into my wait lol and was committed to getting my nails done, plus it was getting late, and didn't think it was going to drag onto 40 minutes. About 25 minutes into my wait an angry customer stormed out, because the manicurist wasn't doing what she had asked her to do. When I was finally taken to a chair, I looked over at the lady getting her nails done and the gel looking uneven, and not very clean. But I was already at the chair and was determined to get my nails done! It all went uphill from there, because my manicurist, Lisa, was a pleasure to be around, and is super talented. I got a new set of acrylic with gel, coffin shape and I got exactly what I wanted. I would definitely come back, but I will ask for Lisa. read more

I got a pedicure here yesterday and they did a terrible job. My big toe hurts so bad. She cut me 2 times. And the nail polish looks so bad! So I went back the next day. And she sat me down. Didn't even take my nail polish off she just filed them and added more coats of nail polish. She told me to wait 5 min before I left. Last time we went, it took around an hour to get serviced, but I understood they were low staffed. I used to come here all the time and was so happy with the service. After moving away for a years I just came back to get a manicure. This was the worst and most PAINFUL manicure I've ever received. The first woman who did my nails filed them unevenly, cut me twice, and filed so hard my skin ripped and would not stop bleeding. I have polish all over my hands. One of the other women (who did an excellent job on my sisters nails) came and checked my hands as I was getting ready to leave. There was a lot of talk and then the second women re-filed my nails so they are now semi-even but she had to make them so painfully short to do so! She then re-did two more coats of gel.... I left with stubs for nails, painful cuts, and have been peeling gel polish from my finger tips all day. Even though my sisters nails turned out great, it is not worth the risk of getting the manicurist who did my nails! Needless to say I will never be back. read more

I've been coming here for almost 10 years and while they've had their good days and bad, I'm familiar with how they operate at this point and know who's good at what and when to come in. And they always make sure I walk out happy. They do get very busy and appointments are not their strong suit. But I just call the same day or day before I want to go in and find out if there's an opening - I never have any issues coming in when I need to. Loni and Lisa are great with acrylics. Lisa has been gone since COVID so I've also seen Penny who does a good job. For pedicures, I love Tracy and Tran. But everyone does a good job. These ladies have been through a lot with COVID, but always greet me by name and with a smile. I've never had any issues when I ask them to fix something I don't like. Today I came here for the third time, and I will not be returning. This is the second time I have made an appointment where they did not even begin to help me until 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment. The lady who did my nails tried to go so fast that she cut me not once, but TWICE, and made me bleed both times. She did not apologize, but just said "it'd be ok" and it's "not a lot of blood". I complained to the owner about my cuts and the appointment time running 45 minutes late, and her response was "what am I supposed to do, I don't have medicine".... What?!?!? Not only did they make sores on my feet but the polish and pedicure looks horrible. Side note: I went to get a fill there two weeks before and within a week, three of my acrylics had popped off! When they asked me if I wanted to get my nails done, I mentioned that last time three popped off only a few days after my fill and she said "you must have hit them on something. Your fault"... I inquired with the business owner by phone to try and discreetly remedy this situation instead of in front of all the clientele. My finger throbbed from pain all day and had to wear flip-flops so that my toe didn't have the same experience. I was told to come in and show her what was wrong. I did that, and in front of everyone there was told that 'it happens' and 'you're fine'. It was like an open panel discussion with every person that was there. So on top of the public humiliation, I was also refused a refund. The entire experience was incredibly insulting and unprofessional. Quoting their website: 'Your satisfaction is all that matters.' This is most definitely not the case. I guess quantity overcomes quality when all you're looking at are dollar signs. I understand mistakes happen, but when your business is specifically manicures and pedicures and a (previous) loyal client is cut and bleeds (more than once) - this is not okay and should not be disregarded. I've been on a mission to find an awesome pedicure artist who is good with designs. I'm picky and blinged out nail art is must; most nail salons instantly ask if you want a flower. That bores me to tears. This place had over 200 reviews; that's a lot for a nail salon in north county. That said, I had to give them a try. As a walk-on, I waited less then 10 minutes. That was awesome. My nail artist did a fantastic job on my pedicure. She was very thorough and I like that. The only problem was that I don't speak Vietnamese, so there was a huge language barrier. Since she didn't speak any English, and I don't speak Vietnamese, it was extremely difficult explaining that I wanted "blinged out art". And, because this place is truly over-the-top busy, no one was willing to translate for either of us. That was so frustrating! Clearly the ladies in this nail salon are aware that this particular nail artist does not speak English. That said, I would think they would be accessible to assist her with English speaking customers. Sadly, this was not my experience. I 100% loved my pedicure. In fact, I would love to become a regular to this particular nail artist. However, because of the huge language barrier, I am hesitant to use her again.
