It was my first time, perhaps my last time here. The little lady at the reception area was a bit rude. Not just to me but to the lady next to me as well. I made an appointment but had no idea that I was supposed to check in on the pad at the door, so she was annoyed when I approached her for direction. I selected the "ultimate" pedicure... not much different than the standard pedi I get anywhere else, except for the outrageous price. She was in such a hurry that it was a bit nerve-racking. I had an appointment and they did our pedis then I waited over an hour for someone to do my nails. They did one hand longer then the other and did the wrong shape. I live way across town and had to go back to get them fixed and they left me waiting almost two hours and I finally asked for a refund. They couldn't get ahold of the owner and said they would call me and I still haven't heard from them. The pointer finger design is a sticker I ordered online that Mickey put on my nails expertly even though she'd never done it before. The gems she placed are so well done. She doesn't just mindlessly do your nails, she adds her own flair and is constantly reevaluating her work and seeing if adding a little more will take the nail to the next level which these nails are - NEXT LEVEL. If you are looking for a place to rush you through no matter what package you choose and don't mind the fact they literally use mechanical sanders on your feet you may enjoy Princess Spa. I did not receive the service from the tech I had made an appointment with, my nails turned out a different color than I chose. Then my pedicure was the scary part she used a sanding tool like is used in wood shop class, this was being used by all the techs. I asked to have my nails clipped on the sides and the tech kept digging into the sides of my toes, I was in so much pain I was bleeding. I told the woman to stop but she kept saying "I do for you, just a little more" I was so angry and in pain. No return visits for me... No way do they treat anyone like a princess here! read more

No. Just no. I have been getting acrylic nails since i was 15 years old and in all my years, I have never experienced a place like this. Want to exactly what happened? Happy to tell. The nail tech I was placed with seemed initially fine! It was my first time at the salon and I wasn't too worried as my mother said that she regularly got manicures here and they turned out great. The nail tech began applying the acrylic as normal, however I noticed she wasn't shaping it with the brush. She simply just put on a thick layer and let it dry, making my nails look like wonky acrylic claws. Then after it dried, even though the acrylic was uneven on the nails, she ignored that and just began attempting to shape the tips with a hand file. Aggressively. And I mean aggressively, she cut me on not one but two fingers with the hand file and the drill bit (which she did not really apologize for). I wanted to leave but mostly just wanted to see how much worse it could get. At one point she began cleaning my nails with acetone which normally would be fine, but she neglected to remember that she had just cut me so I just sat there in pain while the alcohol went into the cuts. All of that just to spend around $65 on nails I hated. I'll attach a photo to show you what you might get yourself into if you choose to get your nails done here. Never again. My husband and I are on road trip we spent one night in Albuquerque, NM so I decided to look for a nail place in the area. I called and spoke with Phoenix ( she's the one that quoted for $40) to fill gel ombré but when I get to the salon the nail tech name Le told me I need to get a new set so I said ok .. then I said I want a little design on my ring finger which she I got also so after I'm done and o asked how much is the charge And the girl at the front ( name Phoenix told its $85! I was really shocked I thought I would only pay $55 coz that's how much I paid in California from $50 to $50 plus tip And I don't want question her coz we are running late and there were some people behind me. So when I handed my credit card she told me she will give me 5% discount if I pay with CASH so that's what I did and I handed her 5 $20 dollar bills and I got $15 in change and I gave $10 tip to the girl did my nail, normally if I spent that much at the nail place that's with pedicure. Anyway.. my nails turned out to be nice but I wasn't expecting to pay almost $100 just for manicure. My nail tech was nice and friendly name Le but the girl that quoted me for $40 and took my payment name Phoenix was not friendly at all. She seems just after to just get everybody in and collect the payment! Lol I still gave them 4 Stars Coz I did like my nail but they should at least told me the price will go up from $40 to $85. Got my nails done here about a month ago & loved them. Came back to get them taken off a couple of days ago & the tech did HORRIBLE. Made several of my nails burn through filing and had absolutely no desire for my nails to look even remotely okay after the removal. They looked sore and severely damaged. They still hurt. The service (Betty) was definitely below my expectations , but I'm still going to give 3 stars because I'm hoping the technician was just new. My main complaint is with the eyebrow wax. First, the wax was piping hot. I've been getting my brows waxed for 20 years and have never felt wax that temperature. In fact, the day after my eyebrows were still red and swollen, probably from 1st degree burns. Also, she got wax in my hair! She spent several minutes trying to get it out, but not without me losing some strands. My pedicure was fine. During my manicure she made my cuticles bleed. And the paint job looks like something I could've done at home. Not to mention it took 1.5 hours to complete both. I've never ever not tipped 20% on salon services, these folks work hard. But I left my appointment in physical pain - I actually considered not tipping at all. I still did, but it bothers me. read more

I've been to many nail salons throughout Albuquerque and Princess is my favorite. They do an amazing job! The salon is always packed because it's the best. I think you may have to try out different nail techs anywhere to see who fits you and what you like best, but there's someone for everyone and all of them do a great job. There's been a few times that I've broken one of my nails a day or two after my appointment and they're always so nice to squeeze me in and fix it even though it's my fault. Everything is also very clean and sanitary and they have an amazing selection of colors and products. Very competitive pricing as well. Came here because my regular salon had no openings, and I was pleasantly surprised! It looked incredibly busy when I walked in. Many other people had to wait because they were getting a manicure and pedicure, but I was only getting my toes done, so luckily enough, I got a chair right away. I would definitely suggest trying to schedule and appointment with how busy it was. Everything seemed to be very clean and my technician was efficient, handy, and gentle. She didn't say too much, though. For just $1 more, they will give you your own tools and you can bring them back for them to use on only you! Cool if you really don't like sharing with tools with others. They had a great color selection and the lotion they used for the massage smelt SO good. I came in with a specific idea in mind which was immediately misunderstood and quickly became nothing like what I wanted, despite having the nail tech see a picture of what I wanted (more than once) and her restarting several times. Ultimately she ruined my nails and had to do something entirely different which led to her rushing to put uneven gel over the dip she did earlier. I was told they had to do it that way to save time. She was super nice but unfortunately this was time-consuming and despite trying to work with her and have her redo certain things it continued to look really bad. I also asked to keep my nails at the length they were at but she immediately cut them down all the way and tried to do fake tips- which I said no to. Overall a bad experience. read more
