Well, as my family will tell you, they love it when I'm wrong and the 7-11 in Princeton Junction is as clean and modern as any convenience outlet in central Jersey. Bright and spacious I might even consider eating something that originated here (when no one is looking of course.) Let's not go crazy, I'll start with coffee and gasoline and work my way up. The coffee in particular is a terrific eye opener as you watch with incredulity as the attendants raise the price of gas every ten minutes... but that's happening everywhere. To speed things up at the pharmacy counter my favorite drugstore has installed touch-screen kiosks that check you in and send the staff scurrying after your pills and potions. So far, no problem. However, for an enterprise that has aspirations to be the nations dominant health provider, the kiosks are filthy beyond belief. I've seen more hygiene displayed in the Penn Station men's room at 11pm after an AC/DC concert or... at the Wuhan Lab for that matter. Lucky for me, CVS has a greeting card aisle so I can send myself a Get Well Soon card. Yikes. One filthy star.

Worst pharmacy ever…read more Scheduled a COVID test which my dad needed prior to surgery. When we arrived, their computers were down. Went home, they called back in 90 minutes saying we could come back, so we returned and did the test. They said the results would be available in 3 hours. They weren't. Called and they were having computer problems and rebooted. At 4 hours called again. Waited on hold while they rebooted 3 more times. Still no luck. Had to drive back a third time to get the results on paper. It would be nice if they hired pharmacists who understood their computer system better than just turning it off and on again. Requested emergency prescription refills for myself (I'm from out of town extending my visit for my dad's surgery) for just a few pills. They told me the cost without my insurance which was fine and that they would be ready soon. When I returned, they didn't have one of them because they told me it wasn't covered by my insurance. But they had already told me that and I had already agreed to it! One last prescription refill I needed to get authorized by my doctor. I contacted my doctor and he authorized it. I called this pharmacy and they told me it would be ready that evening. When I came back, they insisted my doctor had declined the authorization (even though I had a message from my doctor on my phone saying he had, and I confirmed that with another phone call). Then, they said they didn't have the medication in the first place. So why tell me it would be ready when they claimed it wasn't authorized and they didn't have it? Just to get me off the phone? The pharmacist I spoke to did the same thing with the person in front of me in line, insisting that the doctor declined their prescription, too. She was condescending to both of us, explaining that doctor's often get it wrong. While I'm sure that happens, when multiple people come in to pick up prescriptions you think are denied, particularly on a day when you are having computer problems, maybe it's the pharmacy's fault. In summary, this is a great pharmacy to go to if you like poor customer service and having to return again and again for things that should take only one visit. Best to visit when you're in a good mood, not when you're dealing with medical issues for you or your family or need things quickly.

Because I am the least preppy and run-of-the-mill hanging-on-mom-and-dad's-expense account type. My ruggedness fits right in at 'Palmer Square' with my leather jackets and frayed jeans: the way oil and vinegar mix! That said, I enjoy my outlaw status at Princeton's angled walkways and shops and cliche coffee houses. When I enter Small World Coffee or order up at The Yankee Doodle Tap Room the women visibly gasp at my long locks and muscles in disbelief! People either think I am an astrophysicist on a hallucinogenic or a Greaser from the 1950s. The Rebel Chef has what is sorely needed in this town: frassos. Palmer Square is where all the ritzy brats in this town go to buy their $500 undershirts, Choo-choo train toys and loafers. It's a lit-up snazzy horseshoe shaped little park with some sign posts, historical markers, restaurants, bars, clothes stores, arches and bookshops. People come to walk poodles. It gets busy around here between about 10am until 3pm, after that all the monocled scientists and 'an athletic scholarship in high jump bought me my way to a degree in biology' - types go to their small dorms for long naps. Palmer Square is nonetheless an archaic but valued (if for its aura and celebrated window shopping) nexus and hub for the hamlet of Princeton. I had to get to just to try and I will definitely be back to try some seasonal flavors as well as their teas and Matcha. The freddo is creamy sweet and has a nice kick from the espresso. Definitely a very light drink. The iced caramel latte was pretty standard, but what put it over the top was the espresso, whipped cream highly recommend adding the espresso whipped cream to whatever beverage you get! The staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations, as well as bringing my drinks out to me on the patio . There is nowhere to sit on the inside, but there is an outdoor patio that is beautiful especially on a nice breezy fall afternoon.
