Atmosphere: 5 I love the decor in this restaurant! Each seating arrangement has its own charm and they're all so instagram ready! They have an electronic menu as well as a paper menu. I found the electronic one a bit cumbersome, but their paper one is fine. Just note that there is a hot and cold drink label on the right edge of the menu to indicate whether the listed items are cold or hot. Service: 5 The service tended to be on the slower side. Once you've ordered, it does take a while for the tea and food to arrive. Although, I do think the brewing of the tea takes a few minutes. If you're seated in the booth tucked towards the front of the restaurant, make sure you really wave to flag them down. They don't really come to you. Flavors: 5 I'm so impressed with their tea! I love it. Especially the hot ones that come in a pot. So worth it and the tea is so flavorful. The desserts are also really good. They aren't too sweet and perfectly balances with tea! I recently tried their lunches and had their turkey sandwich. Their bread is perfectly toasted. I didn't want mayo in it, but they didn't offer anything else to put in place of it.... Like mustard. So the sandwich came out kind of basic. It came with a salad which was pretty basic too. Sadly, the sandwiches that my mom and husband ordered didn't come with the buns pictured. My mom ordered the sukiyaki one which has a baguette in the photo, but came with toast bread like mine. My husband's was supposed to come with a hamburger type bun, but also came with toast. I asked the waitress and she said they are all come with toast bread instead. Overall, I'd go there again. Their turkey sandwich is definitely not worth it. Cutely decorated tea house with an Asian flare, located in a nothing strip mall in Princeton. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in considering how the rest of the strip looked. This place could have fit in perfectly in the heart of downtown Princeton. My husband and I had afternoon tea here to celebrate 5 years together. The tea sandwiches were nice and pastries overall were good. They have an electronic ordering system so you'd only interaction with the staff to ask questions and for them to bring your food and explain the items if needed. I ordered the Jasmine tea to go with my food and unfortunately it seems the water they used to brew the tea was way too hot. I'm an avid tea drinker--Jasmine should be a delicate floral tea, and this had come out rather bitter, a sign that the leaves had been burnt. The temperature of the water would have been appropriate for pu-erh or maybe an oolong, but not for any green or Jasmine tea leaf! I would have expected a tea house to know this and prepare the water temperature appropriately. We will probably come here again at some point since the food was good, but I will be sticking with pu-erhs or perhaps an oolong for next time. read more

Yeah, I can not say that this was the best experience that I've had at a Prince Tea House. Our party of four walked in and greeted by a very nice reception girl who led us to a booth at the far left. And then we were waiting for a good 15-20 minutes. There was a party in the back but there is were attendants going back and forth by our table. As we waited, we noticed the amount of flies that were circulating around us and ultimately left before we ordered. It was only as we were leaving that one of the attendants ran to us to take our order... But between the non-acknowledgment, the flies and even too, the amount of buzzards that were flying above the parking lot, it made us uncomfortable to stay longer. read more

Whenever I'm traveling, I often try to find a high tea in the area. Although the appearance of the tea house was unassuming ( it's in a strip mall) Don't let that stop you. A nice tea house where you'd least suspect it. While there is an evident Asian influence in their tea selection, the plates and tea sets themselves have a decidedly European style to them. My wife and I enjoyed the Afternoon Tea for two, and while the food was excellent, it doesn't seem water temperature or steep time is taken into account and everything is boiled. My wife's tea was steeped in a temperature too hot, and mine wasn't steeped long enough. It is a shame because the rest of the experience was excellent. I wouldn't mind coming back, but it's definitely something to consider if you are particular about your tea. read more

The tea trays of food are top notch, special, beautiful to every fresh detail. All the pastries a flaky, light, fresh. The tiny sandwiches are pretty and delicious. A lot of assortments of tea to chose from and always hot since it is served on a warming candle. There is a neat little robot which drives around bringing your tea and food, then a server pours your first cup of tea. We went for a Christmas lunch w our female family and it was a special treat. I actually was supposed to go here when they first opened this location through a Yelp invite to review and I got sick and didn't go, have been meaning to go for I'm guessing must be 4 plus years now. I expected it to be a free standing building or nearer to the heart of the town of Princeton, was surprised when the GPS brought us to a strip mall, with an Amish farmers market and a dollar store. Nonetheless we went in, they had a cute little sign and we were seated by a quiet young girl, who also became our waitress. The menu was quite extensive as far as teas, drinks, their food options were limited, not the normal "tea-house" food, definitely an Asian flare, which I didn't expect but I was pleasantly surprised. Their menu was extensive, offering appetizers, salads, sandwiches and "afternoon teas" for one, two, or 3 which composed of mini sandwiches, scones, mini desserts & tea of your choice. I believe their tea menu was the biggest I've ever seen, varieties of green, black, white, oolong, herbal, milk, fruity, iced, bubble, a variety of other beverages and mocktails. We all decided on teas and sandwiches, we had 2 Prince Passion Fruit Tea & English Toffee Milk Tea. For sandwiches we decided on 2 avocado sandwiches and a turkey sandwich. Here's why I didn't give 4 or 5 stars, you had to order using the QR code, on the menu there was an option for zero sugar on the app. one sugar was the lowest option and we wrote in the notes, sugar on the side. So after looking at the extensive menu we were then told to use the QR Code which took a long time to do. At one point we heard this strange noise above the music then a "pet me" we turned around to this "BOT" scared us at first then we laughed, it passed us bringing food & tea to another table. I thought cool, we get our own food from there, the hostess/waitress is for seating & questions. But when our "kitty bot" came with our food/tea the waitress, petted her & pressed buttons on the bots command, but also gave us our tea & plates. Seemed redundant. Tea had sugar in it and sugar was given on the side in a bowl! Presentation was lovely, tea (although too sweet) was lovely and sandwiches were ok. I may try again with the "afternoon tea"? We weren't rushed, we were allowed to sit and chat as long as we wanted. Loved the tea, not the sandwiches, may be better to go for tea and dessert? This location was priced fairly, but the way it operates is hard to navigate: 1. You have to make a reservation for a booth, but their reservation system wasn't working. 2. Even if you order before another table, depending on what machine is bringing out their food, that other table could get their food must faster. 3. Many of my food items were hard/stale. I expected the cake and toast to be made fresh, not earlier in the morning (as the waitress informed me it was). 4. The store is often closed for parties, but they don't put signs up indicating that. Prince Tea House is truly a gem! I visited on a Sunday with my friend around lunch and was seated immediately. This place is so cute! The ambiance, the food and the service were all amazing. I had my eyes set on the brown sugar boba crepe cake. We decided to try a bunch of different menu items such as: - Jardin Tropical Tea - Brown Sugar Bubble Crepe Cake - Strawberry Shortcake - Sweet Potato Fries - Twister Fries - Turkey Club - Vegan Sandwich The food is brought out on a robot too, how cool! All the food was delish! They have a huge variety of teas which I love. You can order straight from your phone which limits the waiter/customer interaction which is fine (an introverts dream LOL). Once upon a time, my girlfriends and I went to Alice's Tea Cup in NYC where we feasted on finger sandwiches, scones complete with homemade clotted cream and raspberry preserves, and of course, wonderful pots of tea. While central New Jersey has a few places for high tea, none came close to Alice's Tea Cup. Then I heard about an Asian-European place that serves fusion desserts, brunch, and afternoon tea. I'm intrigued. Off we went and arrived at a run-down-looking strip mall which will make you question if you even arrived at the correct address. It should be noted, parking is a breeze as they have a community parking lot. Upon seeing the restaurant's signage, we concluded we did arrive at the right address. Definitely, "looks can be deceiving" because once you walk through their doors, you will be magically transported into a warm, relaxing, and immaculate tea parlor. Quite a stark contrast to the outside. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and she sat us at a booth.  After scanning their digital menu, we decided on their famous Afternoon Tea for Two. A fun kitty cat robotic- server appeared shortly with our teapots. In case you didn't know, you can also adjust the level of sweetness for your teapots. Soon after, the adorable robot-server was back with our three-tiered tray, as it sang a Happy Birthday song to me since we were celebrating my birthday. Hearing the robot-server singing was priceless. LoL. The three-tiered trays consist of more desserts than actual finder sandwiches which were a bit disappointing to me but Hubby loved that. The desserts are decadent and not overly sweet, thankfully. Is this place worth the trip back?  We definitely want to try their appetizers and sandwiches as we spied some other patrons enjoying them. I came here with my boyfriend on New Year's Eve, and it was such a great experience! The staff are very accomodating and gave us recommendations to their favorite desserts. The cafe is also aesthetically pleasing and beautiful. Great place for meeting up with friends and family. My boyfriend and I ordered Earl Grey Milk Tea, Purple Yam Souffle, and Mille Feuille. They were all very delicious! The desserts were not too sweet, which I liked! My favorite was the Purple Yam Souffle. It was just the perfect consistency and it went well with the vanilla ice cream. We originally wanted to get the Purple Yam crepe, but it was all sold out by the time we went. I would highly recommend going earlier in the day if you would like to try their different crepes! Had such a fun experience at Prince Tea House! The food/desserts are delicious and the tea is also fantastic! This is the perfect place to catch up with friends over a warm cup of tea. I came with two friends on a Sunday afternoon. We called ahead to place our name on the waitlist and were seated right away. There was a lot of people waiting to be seated, so I would definitely recommend calling ahead, especially during busier times. They have a way to order from your table using your phone. However, it did not work for us and we had to order with a staff member. Unfortunately, when we came, they were VERY busy and not well-staffed. So it was a bit difficult to order items and they took a while to bring out our food/tea. They have a HUGE selection of teas (including bubble tea). There's also many desserts, sandwiches, and appetizers to pick from. We opted to share individual items rather than get the Afternoon Tea. The highlight of my visit was the green tea crepe cake! It was so sweet and tasty and perfect for sharing. We also got the purple yam soufflé and fruit toast, both of which come with a scoop of ice cream and were amazing! Delicious variety of teas packed with aroma and flavor. The one I ordered was very fruit forward. Adorable tea cups and overall aesthetic of presentation. The brown sugar crepe cake with boba was one of the yummiest desserts I have ever had. So unique. The flavor had a cozy essence, the texture so dense and creamy yet fluffy and light at the same time. It's a must get! It is oddly placed in a vacant shopping center, but fear not, once you step inside you are transported into the daintiest and most elegant tea room. This place is right off route 27 and in a shopping plaza, so it was at first hard to notice. However, the inside speaks volumes. It has a great interior, is well very organized, and even has a robot bringing out orders - very futuristic! They have an assortment of crepe cakes and desserts to pair with the teas. There are a ton of options when it comes to the teas - milk teas, green teas, etc. You can customize how much sugar you want too. Asian-owned and European-inspired, Prince Tea House offers an interesting range on their menu, with a variety of matcha items and appetizers like takoyaki (Asian), full service tea (British) plus macarons and crepe cakes (French)! Don't come hungry or else you'll be disappointed, because it is light fare when it comes to food. Tea is the star of the show here, and there are multiple options for anything you might fancy. Black tea, floral tea, milk tea, even one that tastes like coffee, plus other ones you may not have thought of. This is the 2nd Prince Tea House I've ever been to, despite other locations opening up since I've gone to the original Prince St location in Flushing's Chinatown. As a former New Yorker now living in central NJ, I am so happy that Prince Tea is here now! The owner/manager was very welcoming and she talked us through the menu. What a fabulous experience. The outside is a blah strip mall feel with boring standard green signage, but the moment you walk in it feels like you are in Lala land. Lit up Logo with pastel interiors, a cute host station , a side stand with their Tea pot set & loser tea varieties on display . Rebecca their manager greeted us with a smile & seated us. It was late afternoon so it was not very crowded. Dry flowers made into a beautiful wall art , books & little aftercare adorned the walls. The Lavender Oolong tea as the Yelp free offer with an order of crispy salted chicken . The tea was mildly aromatic , brewed to perfection and was a soothing start paired with the Salty chicken. Rebecca told us the chicken was not served with any dip or sauce which seemed unusual for fried chicken. We asked for spicy sauce & was given chipotle mayo. We were pleasantly surprised with the subtly salty yet elevated flavor profile of the fried chicken that it didn't need any dipping sauce. Was quite a unique creation and is one of their signature dishes ! It was served on a bed of lettuce. Katsu chicken sandwich was served with a side salad felt like a repeat of chicken, but the Katsu sauce made all the difference that it made the sandwich a stand out meal. Ponzu dressing for the salad was refreshingly creamy & light . For dessert we picked Purple yam Soufflé that takes 20 minutes to bake. It's another one of their signature dishes . I've been here twice, once in 2022 and once last month to celebrate my best friend's birthday. Our first visit was pleasant - we ordered a few cups of tea and a boba crepe cake which was delicate and tasty with a good texture on the boba and the right thinness of the crepes. However, our recent visit was a bit concerning, especially since we both had stomach aches after our meal. I ordered the beef sukiyaki burger which was subpar, the bread was sort of strange to eat so I picked at the filling and ate the side salad. We shared the mixed fruit crepe cake and were disappointed at the fruit not being ripe and the cake simply... not tasting very good. This restaurant is a bit of a ghost town and the staff is young and seems a bit confused/it's difficult to get their attention. I'm sure the atmosphere is much more lively at other locations, especially in NYC! Despite the tasty boba crepe cake, I won't be returning especially due to our stomach aches. read more

This was a great tea house! The decor is adorable, just like a fancy tea house in NYC or London. There is also a wide variety of green, black, and floral teas - whatever you fancy. The teas come in an adorable ceramic pot heated by a candle, and there is a matching teacup for the tea. The whole set up reminded me of high tea in England! The food was also great. We got the salt and pepper chicken and fried squid since it's a Taiwanese place, and those are the classic Taiwanese specials. Both were well seasoned and delicious. We also got the fruit and boba mille crepe as well as the taro souffle. The boba mille crepe was such a cool concept, and it was delicious! The combination of black sugar, texture of the mille crepe, and the chewiness of the boba was wonderful. The taro souffle was fluffy and was wonderful with the vanilla ice cream. I highly recommend trying this place out for tea! FYI, there's an Amish market next door if you want everything from free range chicken to some beautifully crafted wooden chairs. read more

Came here for a friends birthday this past weekend with a group of 9. I was a bit confused on how ordering works since there is a QR code on the table which you scan and can order from but the waitress said to order from her instead after we already made our selections through the code. We ordered three of the finger food stands which were cute and ordered different teas. The rose tea was my favorite, not too sweet. The tea cups and the small plates were all very cute and on theme (I.e: tea party). They do not serve alcohol but the place is BYOB. I ordered the Katsu chicken sandwich with a side salad and ginger dressing with twisted fries. The fries were room temperature when they arrived which was disappointing. The sandwich on the other hand and salad were both very good. The scones from the stand were my favorite. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, they had instrumental music playing at a low volume. This made us a bit sleepy after eating. There's a robot that brings the food from the kitchen to the table. The robot even plays a happy birthday song. The reason I removed three stars was because one of the girls at our table specified that she has a seafood allergy and asked if one of the stands could account for her allergy. When they brought the stand out it had crab and salmon on it and it was touching other non seafood items. When the girl raised this with the server she was told not to eat the fish items but instead to eat the other items. This was a huge no-no. As a restaurant you need to know better. An allergy is not a preference and it should be taken seriously to avoid any adverse reactions to the food served at your establishment. Blatantly ignoring an allergy is dangerous for the customers and the restaraunt. You need to care if you are serving people food. This is restaurant 101. To make matters worse, another individual at the table specified she could not have regular milk and asked that her tea be made with oat milk instead. The server brought out several teas of the same kind and when asked which had the oat milk in it, the server said she wasn't sure. This is simply unacceptable. Bottom line: if you want a cute place to try with your friends this may be the spot, but if you have a food allergy steer clear entirely. read more

Cute little tea house in Kendall park! The outside is deceptive because you walk into a very well decorated place with comfy seating and a peaceful ambiance, could definitely throw a party here. Service was excellent, very polite staff and they even had a little robot that brought your food out for you! The teas were very well presented, the potted plant had Oreos crumbs on top that went very well with my caramel black tea drink and my friend who got the roobois had hers come in a little tea pot with a warmer, all of the drinks were delicious. They have a decent selection of sweets but nothing stands out to me as being better than average. Also, for the area they're in it's quite expensive. I know the NYC locations are obviously very popular but those prices just don't make sense for NJ. Also, the address is Princeton but it's a ways from actual downtown Princeton so don't let that confuse you! read more
