First time back here since covid, and been looking forward to it. Upon entering the first thing we noticed was how hot it was inside. They sat us in a corner, no breeze and learned their AC and fan has been broken for years. Couple next to us sat down said its too hot and left in less than a minute. We stuck it out and was glad we did. Their take on an amaretto sour was very tart and vibrant, a new favorite. Reisling was nice and sweet. Main course was papardelli, fresh pasta. Fully enjoyed that. Friday special ia chicken parm, was cooked nicely. However when we discussed dessert we just were too hot to have another drink and have dessert which is a shame. Not sure why they haven't fixed this know air issue, they are loosing sales.... What kept it 4 star for us was the wait staff. Jordan was extremely friendly and efficient, as well as the other staff that took care of us. Would love to go back, but maybe in late fall/winter unless they fix their fan/ac issue. read more

Let me start off with the pros: ease of making reservations, service, seating time, ambience, plenty of parking, nice presentation as you walk in. But, I wasn't blown away by any of the courses, unfortunately. The only dish that stood out as being really good were the rice balls. Everything else was just average-and that makes me really sad because I have been looking to try this place FOREVER, especially since we had our wedding reception at their sister restaurant that closed almost twenty years ago--and their food blew me away. Collectively, we ordered calamari- bland, arancini-delicious, crispy eggplant-bland and dry. I ordered the crab agnolotti which was just, well.... bland. My mom's salmon seemed to be cooked well, we asked for medium and that's what she got. The tiramisu was good, and I am not generally a fan. The mocktail that ordered-basil gimlet was a nice balance of sweet and sour. Overall, really giving it a 3.5 but based upon comparison to my other 4 star ratings, I had to bring it down a bit. Typically we've had great meals here. Their happy hour is prob the best deal but it's really a half portion of food so not necessarily a deal on the food. We had dinner there this past week and the ac was barely working. The host also shared it was being replaced. Chicken parm special was very good but the side of pasta was very average. The Cacio e Pepe was prob the biggest disappointment. While I don't expect it to be like in Rome, I do expect a well seasoned pasta and not just w/ large pepper grinds in it, not even close to a classic Cacio e Pepe - could not even finish it. read more

Went for lunch with a few coworkers. I didn't take pictures of the layout but thought the bar area looked nice. We sat next to what seemed to be cold appetizers / salad (?) open part of the kitchen. I didn't capture all the dishes we ordered but apps were tasty especially the arancini with braised beef. I ordered tagliatelle bolognese which initially seemed small but was just right given the apps we had. Those of us with pasta did have to ask for grated Parmesan though. A dinner that got progressively better. I will say that the restaurant is well decorated, open atmosphere, nice location, classy jazz in the background (Billy holiday), and very attentive and knowledgeable waiting staff (shoutout Ernesto). The octopus appetizer was ok but paled in comparison to a different restaurant we went to a day before. Short rib was tender and vegetables and herbs were tasty, but chicken was a little dry and the sweet potato was sort of random. Wild mushrooms, however, were the star of the show. We weren't entirely sold on the food, but the dessert was the elevating factor to move it from 3.5 to 4. The date cake somewhat resembled a sideways leaning meatball but let me tell you... DELICIOUS. Tiramisu was light as air, but the lack of cocoa dusting was distracting to say the least. I would come back again to try next season's menu. read more

Just had a wonderful Valentine's Day dinner with my wife at Eno Terra. We sat at a corner area with a window to the outside. There was a pre fixe menu (drinks not included) which was pretty expensive but our bellies were full from all the food and appetizers. I had the braised short rib and it was good. Wish it had a little more flavor considering the price point but it wasn't bad. My wife had the Pappardelle Abruzzo and she absolutely loved it. I had a taste myself and it did not disappoint. For dessert, we had the Riccotta Coconut Cake and the Lemon Panna Cotta. Both were delicious. I personally loved mine. By the end of our dinner we had eaten so much we definitely got our moneys worth. I recommend Eno Terra. The service was really good from the complimentary valet service (make sure you tip!) to our dinner experience. Best part of all, our Tesla was recharged by the time we finished dinner! I didn't know restaurants did this but it's an awesome bonus service. read more

My party of 4 came here on a Monday for a 12pm reservation and were seated promptly. There were a few tables occupied, but much of the restaurant and bar area were empty. They currently have a 3 course lunch menu for $29, which two people in my party ordered. It came with soup or salad, branzino or pork ragu pasta, and cannoli or biscotti. The branzino was the highlight of the meal, with the other dishes being average. This was a good deal compared to other entrees on their menu. We also ordered the braised pork sandwich and a crab and shrimp spaghetti. The braised pork sandwich was under-seasoned and a bit in the dry side. The fries it came with were great however. The shrimp in the spaghetti dish was also overcooked and chewy. Service throughout our dining experience was very slow and not attentive. We celebrated our baby shower at Eno Terra this past weekend, and it was nothing short of wonderful! Our guests were so impressed by the quality of the food as well as the over ambiance of the restaurant. One of the things that made Eno Terra stand out from other restaurants was the fact that they offer takeaway favors. We chose the EVOO and our guests were so impressed that it was made by the restaurant. Planning the event with Alessandra was wonderful. She was a pleasure to work with and offered flexibility with some of my decor ideas. The day of the baby shower, we were very impressed at the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was happening the way in the way we requested. Overall, we could not have asked for a better experience for our baby shower! My children took me here for Mother's Day dinner and it's wonderful! My daughter had a blood orange cocktail, I had the mocktail, my son had the nonalcoholic wine, all delicious. For appetizers, we had the bread basket, arugula salad, and mussels & clams. For entrees, we got the bronzini, pork skirt steak, braised pork, and trumpet mushrooms. The pork entrees were tender, and the branzino and my mushrooms were flavorful. We shared the bread pudding and blueberry cheesecake, perfect ending of the evening. We all enjoyed our dinner very much. It's so nice that they seated us by the fireplace upstairs. When it got too hot, they turned off the fireplace for us; it kept me warm and cozy. Loved it. It's not crowded or chaotic at all for Mother's Day. They had a special menu for Mother's Day dinner; I think it's more manageable for them that way. Many of the dishes came out barely warm and took a long time. Same for drinks. I recognize the place was pretty busy but it seems like they regularly have high traffic so I wonder if dining always takes that long. We had a good time celebrating New Year's Eve here because of the company, atmosphere, and excellent service, BUT the food substitutions and running out of food items was disappointing. While a few dishes stood out, the inconsistency overshadowed them. Food: 2/5 The food was the biggest disappointment, especially for the $89 prix fixe New Year's Eve menu. * Amuse-Bouche: Fine but forgettable -- too much pastry and barely any poached pear. * Antipasti: The salmon tartare was the highlight of the meal -- fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. A solid 5/5. * Entrées: The menu changes were disappointing. The advertised crab ravioli was replaced with lobster agnolotti, which came in a broth instead of the sauce we were expecting. We had specifically asked about this and were told it would be more sauce-like, but it wasn't. The blackened tuna was replaced with blackened salmon, which was a letdown since some of us were excited about the original menu. My husband ordered the bronzino filet, and it was absolutely fantastic! Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and easily the best entrée of the night. I truly wish I had ordered it instead. *Dessert: A disappointment. The chocolate lava cake advertised online was swapped for a chocolate tiramisu cake, which then ran out before dessert was served, leaving us with regular tiramisu. Similarly, the panna cotta ran out, so my friend chose apple crumble, which was good (4/5). I ordered the baked brie marsala tart, which was awful -- flavorless pastry, the tiniest sliver of brie, and roasted grapes that tasted microwaved (0/5). Thankfully, the waiter was gracious enough to replace it with the pumpkin crème brûlée, which was definitely an improvement (3/5). Service: 5/5 The staff was WONDERFUL! Everyone from the hosts, waiters, and valet were all friendly and attentive. Our waiter answered all of our questions about the menu and handled issues gracefully. Ambiance: 5/5 The atmosphere was incredible -- intimate, cozy, and beautiful. It felt fancy and perfect for a special occasion. The complimentary valet service added to the upscale experience and was a thoughtful touch. Drinks: 4/5 The first round of drinks was fantastic! My espresso martini was delicious and my friend loved her old-fashioned. We enjoyed them so much that we decided to order another round of the same drinks. My second espresso martini was just as good; however, my friend's second old-fashioned was a disappointment. It tasted noticeably different from the first and wasn't nearly as good. He came over to our area a little later but went out of his way to avoid eye contact with my wife. -Ordered the Budino for dessert and it was brought to us without spoons, which we had to wait another 5-10 minutes. -Waited at least 20 minutes for check when finally we had to just tell our server to take the card and pay the check. Came to Eno Terra for a date night. Upon first appearance, this place was so classy and cute. Very romantic for sure so would recommend for a date anytime. Our server was very kind and knowledgeable. He walked us through the menu and then we got to ordering! Appetizers: 1. Bread basket: The olive oil dip was so fresh and high quality. I do wish the bread was warm though. 2. Meats: We did a choose your three sample with salumi, cappo, and prosciutto. These were absolutely delicious and probably my favorite items of the night! They also came with cashews, grapes, and olives. Mains: 1. Serrano Peppers: They were cooked well but could have used a bit more salt in my opinion. 2. Branzino: They offered it to me whole or filleted. I don't enjoy looking at the fish head and tail so I opted for filleted. The fish itself was very fresh but I do wish that the fish was seasoned a bit more. The overall flavor was too light for my general taste profile. Drink: 1. Team dinner for 30! I was a little hesitant because it's family style meals after a certain amount of people, but it turned out to be super fun! I communicated with their events lead leading up to the dinner. Jessica was very nice and also met me half way, whether it was in regard to the budget, menu, or guest size changes. I choose the 4 course menu for my guest, which included varying antipasta, primi, secondi, contori, and a dessert. Because it was a lot I'll just highlight my favs. The Mushroom Ragu was fantastic! Probably my favorite thing off the menu, and omgosh the ricotta!! Would come back just for that again. I do wish they would have paired the ricotta with focaccia or a bread, but it was still great with vegetables. The salmon and chicken were also great options! I didn't really like the dessert much. It was a crumble, which was a little too sweat for my liking and way too many textures. The vanilla ice cream that it was paired either with was great though, and I wish they would have just served that. The staff were nice, but I don't think they checked on us too much and also didn't direct guests well. There were two large dinner that night and we had a few uninvited guests stumble and sit in our area not knowing it wasn't for their party. We also had a large spill that wasn't cleaned up, which is fine, but we didn't get any help with it and it took a while to get our napkins replaced. Graduation dinner for five. This sister restaurant to Mediterra in Princeton is worth the trek out Nassau Street to the end of Lake Carnegie -- especially if you want to get out of the hustle and bustle of downtown and get some variety from what is in the small town of Princeton. Ambience is terrific, semi-rustic, and with truly outstanding service. Menu is locally sourced and super interesting. Had the "piccolo" charcuterie board for starters -- a nice Camembert and Parmesan along with some prosciutto -- along with the bread, nuts, grapes, and olives it was an ample app for five of us. Entrees included a flame cooked pork strip steak, scallops, squid ink tortellini, a vegetarian lasagna, and my pork shoulder. Everyone was delighted (except me -- I found the shoulder to be marvelously cooked and tender but a little bland). My side of mushrooms was delicious. Wines were interesting and server, who was fabulous and knowledgeable, made great recommendations. Pricey, but as has been reported elsewhere here and in the dining media, a very, very worthwhile meal. read more

Came here with my wife and some friends recently and we had an OK time. First, the restaurant had an elegant, quiet vibe which I really enjoyed. Service throughout the meal was consistently good - our server was present without being disruptive. Obviously it's a nice restaurant, so you expect the prices to be a little higher than average, but I thought that $30 for my sausage ragu was a little steep, especially considering the portion size. My food was good, though! My friend ordered pork (I believe it was a special) and part of the dish was very close to being raw, which was not so great. It's also a little silly to charge $3 for an artisan bread basket when virtually any other similar quality establishment would serve it for free. It really felt like the restaurant was trying to nickel-and-dime us. Not sure if I would come back here given the huge number of Italian restaurants in the area, but I may give it another try for a date night since I did like the ambience quite a bit. read more

We met our friends for our holiday dinner at this place one Friday late evening. The place has a simple yet elegant ambience. Excellent choice of wines & a decent selection of cocktails. Cocktails were strong, but tad bit too sweet for our taste. Food was fresh and tasty. In appetizers, Burrata was good. However the bread basket was underwhelming.I had the pasta-less lasagne and it was really tasty. Not a big fan of the two desserts we tried - tiramisu and raspberry cream. Both were pretty standard. If it was just about food, I would give is 4 stars. But its 5 stars for the service with a smile. We didn't feel rushed and also didn't feel like we were neglected. And an extra star if I can throw it in....the manager was in the house and let us, a group of friends catching up after almost a year, sit in way way past closing time. I've been to Eno Terra a few times in the past, but it has been about 10 years. I don't know if management changed, but something has definitely changed. 1st turnoff- Upon arrival there is no option but to valet. I understand the reasoning after being told by the parking attendant however, I do not believe it's right to not be given an option and instead be exiled to a far off parking lot. 2nd turnoff - To start, we were repeatedly asked if we wanted bread for the table. Due to the fact we wanted to save ourselves for dinner, we chose to oblige only after being told it was "artisanal bread". The bread was not heated and nothing extraordinary, it was served with a bit of olive oil and seasoning. We were also not told there was a charge of three dollars until it showed up on the bill. If you're going to ask numerous times if you would like bread on the table - it should be added as a menu item. 3rd turnoff- My boyfriend and I shared our entrées, we ordered the mushroom and pasta and the shrimp and crab spaghetti. Both were obscenely oversalted! At this point dessert was off the table, better to head downtown for Thomas Sweets ice cream. The restaurant itself is beautiful, including the landscape, and it seems something may been done to the ceiling to alleviate the noise level. The service was decent, no complaints other than not being notified of a charge for bread. Really it's not about the cost of three dollars. It's about the deception of charging you when you get your bill! For the price, this was not acceptable. Three strikes you're out- I've had much better for much less. read more

Venturing toward the Princeton area was quite the season. And Eno Terra played a great role in kick starting that. Props to the waiter who was hilarious in the most Jersey way possible. He suggested the gnocchi with extra sauce which was the best call. I love farm to table concepts, so I was excited to visit Eno Terra. Came here with a group of 10 and we were tended to very well. The cocktails were delicious, my favorite was the Elysium which to me tasted like kumquat even though the citrus on the menu was lemon. When it comes to farm to table, I always try to order off the specials menu, but the NY strip from the regular dinner looked too good to pass up! I wasn't disappointed and did not regret my decision, though I did try a bite of my friends' dishes which were specials (pork chop and swordfish), both of which were very incredible. As always, we left room for dessert and ordered tiramisu and tiramisu gelatos all around. While I thought the tiramisu tasted pretty standard, the gelato was great! read more

This has been one of our favorite restaurants in the Princeton area, and my wife and I were celebrating a special event. When we arrived, the dining room was quiet, and we were seated. The wine list is spectacular (and expensive), but I didn't see pinot grigio on the list. When I asked the waiter what wine was similar, he said Riesling! GONG! I said that I'd figure it out, and we had a pleasant Soave Classico, at $75 for the bottle that would cost $17 at a wine store. Within 20 minutes, the dining room was filled with noisy people, all shouting to be heard above the din. The only way that my wife and I could communicate was to shout as well. The ambiance was terrible; it quieted down only as we were leaving. Our dinners were very good, ricotta gnocchi and rigatoni with braised rib, and portions were ample. The food lived up to our expectations. The wait staff was almost nonexistent and, as noted above, not well trained and impersonal. They were too busy waiting on too many tables. We'll be back for the good food and drink but not soon, at a time when we are more likely to hear each other talk. read more
