Lillipies Bakery is a cute little bakery in Princeton. I happened to stop by on an Sunday afternoon after being in the area for something else. One thing I'll have to say about this place....if you're expecting to get any of their mini pies, be sure to get there early or place an order in advance. When I got there, the pickings were very slim. I ended up with a mini vanilla cake and mini apple pie. Both desserts were tasty, but nothing to rave about. The service was okay. I was in and out pretty quickly. I would check them out again, but I'll definitely take my own advice of ordering in advance.

It's been a while since I've been here and I was excited to go back. With Thanksgiving around the corner I went specifically to try the smaller versions of their pies. Despite a line, it moved quickly and the service was very friendly. It's a cute bakery, a little tight but there's seating and two doors make it easier to get in and out in a crowd. Unfortunately I can't recommended the pie! The pumpkin had a nice flavor but the others were very bland which was surprising. They have plenty of other things on the menu and it was busy so they must do other items well.

Wow. This is the bakery I've been looking for. In a great shopping center 5 minutes from downtown Princeton. Plenty of parking. Reasonably priced - I seriously expected everything to cost more than it did for a fancy little bakery in Princeton. The coffee was the only thing that was pricey at $3.25 for a small but it's very good (Small World Coffee). They offer a bread punch card for buying baguettes and such. The avocado toast was fantastic on a super seedy English muffin (they had 3 options to pick from). Next time, I'll either add egg or ask for hot sauce for my personal preference. The fresh lemon and pepitas were a nice touch. My husband got pancakes and those were out of this world good. Not pictured got a blueberry scone that I took a few bites of because I couldn't wait and it was delicious. Can't wait to eat my other goodies.

Blueberry scone and cinnamon roll.both just ok.

A cute little bakery tucked away in a shopping plaza. We stopped in for a quick bite for breakfast. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. None of my baked goods were very impressive, they were both fine, but rather plain. The scone had a hint of lemon flavor which I specifically asked about and was told there wasn't any. The cinnamon roll was just ok, but really needed a flavor boost. I would come back again to try one of their pies

LiLLiPIES Bakery in the Princeton Shopping Center is a very nice place for a pleasant breakfast hangout if you are enjoying an easy Friday morning at the end of a long week. Locally owned and operated, walking in you immediately see the simple utilitarian set up with tables along the two glass walls overlooking the broad walkways with outdoor seating for the many eateries within the complex. The glass display case shows off the undeniable baking skills, while the aroma of coffee, hot ovens and beautiful loaves of bread beckons you to linger. I ordered two of their pancakes and coffee, and too a deuce hightop to await service of my morning meal. The place was busy with a mixture of student types and women stopping in after nearby workouts to hydrate or consume carbs. Service by the young women behind the counter and in the kitchen was friendly and efficient. Both food and drink were brought to me with a smile and soft shout of my name. The java was fresh and strong. The two pancakes, more than I could finish, and very absorbent of both the butter and syrup applied liberally by me. They were also quite fine, but would have been even better with real maple syrup and an offering of fresh fruit on top. An up charge would be understandable, but these options were not presented. A few blueberries and Grade B Dark would have made this a more memorable experience. Just a suggestion for attaining 5 Star status in an otherwise special place.

Service was bad and rude. Instead of remaking my drink that I asked for they just poured it over ice. it has no flavor what. so. ever. Might as well give me a cup of water. I'll be back but this was disappointing.

Yep..... LilliPies is just the perfect little boutique bakery that just fits Princeton and it's denizens. Unlike Maman LilliPies is a proper bakery with excellent pastries, cakes and their sourdough boule looks, feels and tastes like Paris. Only open till 2pm their wares go fast so ordering your favorites online is advisable but the service is seamless and friendly in store. Get the blueberry scones if you can..... they are the best.

I am obsessed with LiLLiPiES! I have been meaning to stop in since I moved to the area a few years ago and finally went today and I am so pleased with my experience. They are in a great location, directly in the middle of Princeton Shopping Center. You can park right by Surf Taco will find it right across the way from their main entrance. The staff was so friendly, welcoming and helped me to find what I was looking for. The service was also very quick and the food was very clearly made to order. SUPER FRESH! We ordered a Vanilla and a Carrot Doughnut and they were DELICIOUS! They were both super light and moist Cake Doughnuts and I wish I had ordered twice as many. We also ordered some egg & cheese breakfast sandwiches. As a vegetarian, it was great to see plenty of options on the menu. We also bought two bags of their own custom blend of Small World Coffee which is our favorite local coffee shop. I also saw a bunch of items from other Princeton small businesses like Bent Spoon Ice Cream and Griggstown Farm. It was great to see a local small business supporting other local small businesses especially after so many have closed due to the pandemic. I cannot wait to come back and highly recommend that everyone check them out if you are in the area. Grab a cup of coffee, a snack, some sweets or a meal. They really have some amazing products.

Great coffee as usual because I love small world coffee but pretty pricey for an iced oat latte in this area ($7+). Ambiance is great, good lighting for work or catching up with a friend, and everyone who works there was friendly.

Lillipies is a nice little bakery in the princeton shopping center. We got the chocolate chunk muffin and the strawberry lemon scone. They were both decently sized and $7 for both (I didnt see any prices for the baked goods in the display case). The scone was not dry at all and not too sweet- tasted really great! I wish they had some more pastry options but will probably come back to try some of their other things

Best Soufflé Pancakes ever!…read more Now that I've actually been to Japan I can honestly say I crave these pancakes more than the ones I had overseas! These pancakes are more fluffier and eggier (I think that's a legit word, LOL), and super rich! If you don't like eggs, don't visit because there is a lot of eggy flavor. I've tried the two dominant flavors, Matcha and Strawberry, and I can't tell which one I like better. The light cream topping is better than any butter or maple syrup I've ever had. There is usually one more flavor that they change from time to time as well which I've heard is great. Going on the weekday avoids the wait. The abnormal hours of operation don't make it easy to visit but if you do you'll definitely enjoy. Book the table on Yelp!

J S Foodies is the latter, a small and cheerful outpost of Tokyo imagination where breakfast behaves like theater. I arrived with my boys and my father in law, a man celebrating another year of survival in a universe that has not yet figured out how to improve pancakes. The space is small, and the famous Kiseki pancakes take their time, about twenty to thirty minutes, as if they are being persuaded into existence rather than cooked. These Kiseki pancakes are not pancakes in the American sense. They are soufflé style creations, tall and trembling, as if gravity is only a suggestion. They arrive airy and delicate, with a gentle jiggle that suggests optimism. We ordered accordingly. I had the lemon ricotta, which tasted like sunlight had been filtered through dairy. My oldest chose matcha, green, purple and quietly sophisticated and complex. My youngest went with the original maple, a classic executed so well it made the classics feel new again. All were excellent, the sort of food that makes conversation pause because mouths are busy being grateful. My father in law ordered what I personally considered a cautious breakfast. Regular pancakes with eggs and bacon. A meal that could have been assembled in any roadside diner between here and forever. Yet even this was handled with care. The eggs were perfect, the bacon honest, the pancakes dignified. No irony, no shortcuts. Yes, the prices are a little steep. But this is not a place for routine nourishment. This is a place for occasions, for birthdays, for reminding yourself that breakfast can aspire to something like art. Five stars, because sometimes the world surprises you by getting something exactly right.

For years I have been boring friends, family and anyone who would listen about the wretched state of service in the US, unfortunately made even more dismal by the pandemic. And before I forget, the food... almost matching the service which is saying something. I absolutely loved the Restaurant Week Hangar Steak and Tomato Bisque with a finger sandwich of grilled cheese and lobster. Tastes that I'm unlikely to replicate as I return to the assorted diners and dives that are not privy to the safe harbor of witness protection and the unwashed remnants of the one percent. Damn. I highly recommend stopping by for drinks and bites if you're in the mood for classic cocktails and solid food. Happy hour is first come, first served and limited to the bar only (around 15 seats total). We arrived right when it started, and when we left about 40 minutes later, the bar was about half full. There was a young lady sitting in the corner in the phone telling us that there were no seats if we didn't have a reservation. Not the most polite but whatever. We went back to the bar and got a table. Why are bar tables always so sticky?! Anyhoo, we just missed the Happy Jour menu but it was only a $1-2 discount (except for the burger: $4). Service was pleasant and attentive. The food was overpriced for sitting in a bar. $30 for a bowl of ramen! (I don't know how it tastes but it's $17 across the street.) $22 for a burger and fries! $10 for two little bao with a single shrimp in each! Ok, that's not too bad since Bao is generally overpriced for some reason but I could have gotten more than one shrimp. Unfortunately, the price did not reflect the quality. My friend who got the ramen said it was in the bottom 25% he's ever had. My burger was pretty good but the bun was toasted and brittle and made an unnecessary mess. The fries--personal preference--I don't like skinny fries. As for the bao, the shrimp was too salty. I liked the finishing salt but the flavoring salt was too heavy. Also, it was drizzled with aioli and I couldn't pick it up and eat it like the sandwich it was. Overall, a disappointment. Mediocre food and an elevated price for no reason.
