Dinky's offers a Seasonal Menu of Small Plates, Burgers, Flatbreads, Limited Sushi, Pizza, Soup, and more. Everything is locally sourced. The also serve a limited Brunch. The vibe is fun and fits right in with the area.. It's located right on Princeton University and is walking distance to The Art Museum. This quaint restaurant has an outdoor patio with seating, and some tables and high tops inside with a full bar. and their menu is simple and delicious. Dinky's doesn't take reservations. They only accept walk-ins. We had a fun server named Conner. He made great suggestions, especially for cocktails and food choices. We both started with their Pear Paloma-tequila, pear, cardamom, lime, grapefruit soda. It was refreshing and good. It was the perfect drink to try. We were looking to get a quick bite just to tie us over. This place came recommended by a close friend. We ordered a few appetizers. Spicy Tuna Roll- tuna, spicy mayo, masago, scallion, sambal, eel sauce, sesame seeds add avocado + $1, add pickled mango + $1 I chose the mango for a twist. It was fresh and delicious. We also ordered a California Roll- kani, cucumber, avocado, nori, sushi rice, sesame seeds. You can add pickled mango + $1 or avocado for + $1. We added the mango for a twist. It was very good. Next time I come I want to try their Buttermilk Fried Chicken Bao Buns-sriracha slaw, house made pickled cucumber, micro cilantro, asian glaze. It looked so good. There was a couple sharing our high top and they ordered several orders of these and they told us it's a must try. I would've ordered more food, but we were going to another place and I didn't want to fill up. The staff is very nice here all very friendly and welcoming. There's no children's menu. This place is a bit small so I don't recommend it for young children and it would be difficult for handicapped unless you're able to get a table outside. We will definitely be back.

A candlelit intimate environment, attentive service and quality food made for a positive experience. I had Shepherd's Pie which had large pieces of lamb, vegetables and covered in mashed potatoes. While the kitchen still completely delivers, the front-of-house service was a bit off during this visit. The food was just as good as we remembered. The kitchen hasn't lost a step, and the meal itself was excellent. I thought the kitchen made a great improvement in the sesame seed-topped hard roll used for the Mutha Clucka sandwich, which held together this time and was much easier to eat without being so messy. Unfortunately.. We sat at the bar and it was immediately clear the sole bartender was swamped trying to handle the lunch crowd alone. She did an admirable job handling the parties and made time for small talk with some of the regulars but our service suffered a bit -- my order for an iced tea completely slipped through the cracks and got lost track of until the end of our meal. Even worse,.. it took longer than I would expect to get the manager behind the bar to remove it from the tab. We still love this place and the food is undeniably great, but they definitely needed an extra set of hands behind the bar this weekend. Dropping it just a bit to a 4-star for now, but we'll absolutely be back.

The outside has a distinct brick facade while the interior features a homey wooden motif. The alcohol selection had a good variety to what was available and I partook in a local peach cider. For my meal, I had the Wagyu burger. It was delicious and flavorful. The burger was cooked just about medium-rare as ordered and it was overall quite good. The server was polite and friendly. Overall, it's a very good option in what is a very competitive area in terms of restaurant choices.

The staff is quick, our food came in 10minutes. French onion soup was the highlight, The mains were not very good, steak was a big disappointment it was burned and had a very bad after taste, rest of the mains were fine nothing great. On reporting to the staff that something was up with the steak they were considerate enough to not include it on the final bill. We even had dessert there which was yum. Place give a nice vibe but when the food doesn't match the standards it doesn't matter how nice the vibe was.

I ordered the Grilled Chicken Wrap, which was excellent, packed with chicken and very filling. I ended up taking half home because it was both generous and delicious. I highly recommend stopping by for drinks and bites if you're in the mood for classic cocktails and solid food. Happy hour is first come, first served and limited to the bar only (around 15 seats total). We arrived right when it started, and when we left about 40 minutes later, the bar was about half full. It's cozy, cute, welcoming, and has a really unique menu! Firstly, the space: I walked in, looked around and immediately felt like I had just popped into someone's house. I mean, it IS basically a house turned cafe and I love that it still has the homey feel. There are big and small tables and even a couch. I loved that people were there having lunch alone, coffee with friends and even hunkered down with a laptop like myself. The team: So sweet! Let me know some recommendations, let me take my time looking at the menu and brought everything out to me when it was ready. I got an oat milk latte (my usual) and the Pearl sandwich. Both delicious. The coffee was hot and delicious and gave me the caffeine kick I needed. And The Pearl was more like avocado toast with smoked salmon, capers and some kind of sauce drizzled on top. Delicious! And a very generous portion. It made me think I need to absolutely get a jar of capers to add to my usual snacks at home. The rest of the menu looked equally as delicious and intriguing. If you are in the area looking for a casual lunch (think paper plates) you'll like it here. Enjoy!
