Great vets and didn't upsell or recommend services that were not needed. Will be my regular vet from now on.

We Absolutely Love Farmersville Veterinarian Clinic…read more This has been our Vet for the nearly 30yrs my husband and I have rescued dumped dogs and cats. Starting with Dr Carter, Dr Lane, Dr Spangler, and now Dr Wise! These men have been the Very Best of the Best!! My husband found an elderly dog, in very bad condition, wondering down. After about 3hours of bathing, cutting mats, feeding, treating fleas and a serious skin issue we were finally able to make him comfortable enough to sleep. The next morning I called Farmersville Vet, per usual they were so busy, but squeezed me in. I had also made a post in our community fb page. Just before I was to leave for the Vet, an older neighbor lady, called to say she thought that was her old boy, Boston. Boston had accidentally gotten out a few weeks earlier, while she was gone. She search for days but could not find him. I picked her up and off to the Vet we went. The Most Amazing Dr Wise, even in the midst of his busy day, was so thorough. Checked his ears, his eyes, his skin, his mouth, his feet and teeth, all for infection. Dr Wise treated his ears, gave him an injection to help with the itchy skin, gave us an antibiotic, tested his old eyes for ulcerations. He took the time, he spoke so kindly to my neighbor lady, he was so very good to her poor old wandering boy. And today, Boston is so much better and happy to be home. I am so very thankful for Dr Wise, he is the very best, so kind, very thorough. I could not speak more highly of Dr Wise and Farmersville Veterinarian Clinic.

*** WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK & DO NOT RECOMMEND ***…read more I had heard so many good things about this vet so I decided to take my rottweiler there for her shots but she was also experiencing an onset of aggression towards other animals. Prior to my appointment I called and talked to the lady at the front desk, she was beyond sweet. I explained in detail what was going on and that I was nervous to bring her in because of the way she was all of a sudden acting towards other animals. She assured me everything would fine and they would clear the waiting room when we got there. When I got there, we seen Dr. Spangler... He was the rudest man I have ever met. NO bedside manner at all. He immediately walked in told me she was an aggressive breed and that I needed to have her fixed. Then he said I assume your male at home is a rottweiler too... I was like yes and he said yeah get him fixed too. With her age (2yrs old) it would not fix the aggression but might help. He told me that her aggression was from lack of socialization and discipline. Without asking me anything about her history. My sister had told me that my girl might be pregnant and that is what the aggression coukd be stemming from. I asked if he thought she might be pregnant and that could be causing it. He again dismissed it as she is an aggressive breed. I was like no I want a sonogram to see if she is pregnant. He finally took her back for one and came back and said that she was pregnant, but she would not let them look at her fully and he could only see 2 puppies. This is a girl that literally lets me clean her ears with a Q-tip and loves to be petted. I do not think that he even tried to look at her. After we left the office she threw up all in my lap. I am not sure what they did to her while she was in the back. I think this is the worst vet I have ever been to in my life. I am not one to write revies but the way my girl and I were treated was uncalled for and very bias based off her blood line. Dr. Spangler you may have a vet degree but I would highly recommend taking a class for bed side manner.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Took my dog for an ear infection recheck today with Dr. Boone and…read morethe "new" vet tech that was taking the sample for the ear cytology set the swabs on the table while waiting for me to get my dog on the table. I asked him to get clean swabs since I didnt want any bacteria from the table showing up on the cytology as coming from my dogs ear. I know they claim to sterilize the tables but ours had hair on it not from any of us......so. Even if they do spray them down, no sanitizer kills 100% of bacteria so you can see my point. After he collected the samples I watched through the window as he prepared the slides. As he was swabbing one slide with one of the swabs he literally set the other one down on his folder (the one that goes in every room with him and I'm sure does not get sterilized). When Dr. Boone came in to explain the results of the cytology I explained to him and her what I had seen and why that contaminates the sample and it shouldn't be trusted now. Instead of reprimanding the now smirking vet tech she very blatantly made excuses for this behavior saying that the swabs they use aren't sterile to begin with. I pointed out that as a "medical professional" and i use that term very loosely, she should not condone just laying samples around anywhere. This led to her telling me basically that obviously I did not have faith in their ability to treat or diagnose my dog....you think?? I left without paying, since I am not willing to pay for the cytology as it was contaminated, and called the office manager. The office manager defended the doc and insisted we should still pay for the visit even though no exam was done because we left before that happened after we realized we could not trust their practice of "medicine". Beware of this practice, they are not competent "professionals" as they claim to be. No one should be trusting their diagnosis, especially if it involves any type of specimen or sample as they do no follow standard lab protocols......THIS IS YOUR WARNING!! **EDIT - Forgot to mention that there is a sign in the lobby stating they offer a $25 incentive for 5-Star reviews so take all the good reviews with a grain of salt as most are probably paid endorsements.
