I'm hoping that Yelp Reviews hold as much weight to whoever's reading this as a quality guarantee, because I really can't speak highly enough of the service I got from Walter at Printing4Today. I work in Advertising and was facing the task of printing 300, 12 page color booklets for a client that needed to arrive in CO on a Tues morning. It was Saturday and everyone I had gone to (name almost any LA print shop, online printing service, kinkos, etc.) either said: A) it was impossible to get the job done in that time B) closed on weekends C) Couldn't be done for less than $1,000 (kinkos's estimate was beyond 5K) I was hugely cautious to put my credit card info on the printing4today site after having got so many no's, so I called first. Walter picked up and walked me through every single step of the process so that this nasty ball of stress all of a sudden became no problem. He was able to do it for closer to $300 (1/10th of the avg estimate), and completed it first thing Monday morning at perfect quality, shipping it out to CO for me and providing tracking. I must have googled "Same Day Turnaround Printing" "Affordable Printing" "Large Quantity Printing at Top Quality" at least 30 times that weekend. No company was able to do what Walter pulled off. For any with a seemingly impossible project, budget or timeline- this is the place for you. read more

The WORST service I have ever experienced. EVER! The owner of the shop was disrespectful and all but kicked me out of the shop because I asked questions regarding headshots. He said, "Didn't you go to the website? I mean, how did you find us?" "Why are you asking me all of these questions?" "I don't have time for this." "You're wasting my time and I have things to do" "If you like asking questions so much then you need to go back to who ever printed off your last shots." This is a portion of the convo: ME- I would like to print off a small batch of copies of my headshots. HIM- Why? It makes more sense to do larger batches. ME-Is it possible to come in to see hard copy proofs of my headshots before ordering the entire batch? HIM- No. We send you the proof online. ME- But the color is always slightly different on the computer screen than when printed. HIM- Nope. Ours is exactly the same color. ME- Can you at least print off one so that I can see it in person? HIM- We'll charge you $8 for that. (Wow!) ME -What is the price of your comp card? HIM- Listen, didn't you go to the website? I mean, how did you find us? (and the rest you can find above) I finally saw some examples of his work on the way out and THANK GOD I didn't go with him. The quality of the headshots was equal to what comes out of my photo printer at home. The shop is in the back end of what looks like a garage. It's dark, stale, and extremely unkempt. If the work was great and the customer service was worth a damn I could get past the rest. PLEASE do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Walter was very friendly and helped me crop my headshots, etc. I went to their website and did a walk in from 10 Am to noon and he was able to look at my photos, lay them out and he printed all three headshots for me right then at that moment. I was planning to go back the next day to pick them up but didn't have to. I had great customer service and my prints came out really nice. I'd recommend this place big time. read more

I had headshots done here about a year and a half ago,and since then I've come back for more, sent friends here and done a couple other projects. I have always had good experiences. The prices are GREAT - unbeatable, the speed of service is excellent and the owner Walter is perfect gentleman. I did have one problem with Printing4Today about a year ago. I ordered 350 posters 11x14, and I only got 345. Since I needed all 350 for the event, I called Walter and asked him about the shortage. He was perfectly friendly and willing to print me the 5 that were missing. He did explain that in printing sometimes the industry standard is over/under up to 10% and because of machine counting, it is possible that a few might be missing. He printed the 5 right away no question and apologized for the hassle. He was GREAT about it. I believe the real test of customer service is how someone handles a problem, and Walter handled this small problem with grace and professionalism. Highly recommended. I am shocked by the horrible, rude treatment I received by Walter today. I was attempting to place an order as a first time customer. The website presents an image that there are customer service operators standing by, but when I called, I spoke to Walter who was rushed, rude, and insulting. He actually hung up on me. When I tried to clarify my order issues, instead of asking me if I could call back, or placing me on a brief hold, he yelled at and was insulting, "You have a VERY simple order, it's NOT that big of a DEAL!". When I told him to please cancel my order he said "FINE" and HUNG UP. Horrible customer service. **My review was filtered as well as all the other reviews that proves his bad business** I was referred to this service from someone. I decided to try it out. I sent my order in, and the online proof was fantastic! I was so excited because other places are quite expensive, and I was thinking that I could really stick with place. I received my actual prints in the mail, and they were not as sharp as the printing I have received at Reproductions. I was quite concerned so I called the gentleman and explained, "Hi. I placed an order for headshots, and I'm seeing that compared to the online proof the actual print is not of the same quality." The man decided to yell at me through the phone and snap at me because I was "saying that his work was terrible and being rude," according to him. He then proceeded to criticize the way that my name was printed on the headshot, I was too concerned with how the photo looked, and saying, "Your photo is no work of art so don't be full of yourself." I TRIED to explain to him that I printed this at Reproductions and the image was sharper so I don't understand why it's not printing this way. He continued to yell at me and say that it's not possible because he paid millions of dollars for this high quality printer and the file I sent was of low quality in the first place (it's the exact same file I sent to Reproductions). I then asked him how come he didn't mention that the file was not good enough (when I made this mistake with Reproductions of sending the wrong file, they politely emailed me back explaining what they needed), he replied that it's not his responsibility, and I should know better. He then continued to criticize EVERYTHING ELSE about me except the issue at hand: the actual product of the headshot. He just kept on talking and interrupting me before I could ask for a refund so I had to hang up. He then continued to further harass me by email, and I threatened to call the police if he continued to harass me. I had to launch an investigation with my bank just so I can get my money back even though I already returned the headshots to him, and I STILL haven't gotten the refund since August. read more

Update* In response to Walter's comment under my initial review - Walter can lie all he wants, as seen in all of the other responses to direct negative reviews but it is obvious that there is a consistency that he does not treat his customers with value. He can play innocent, perfect and even naive online, but in reality the internet cannot completely shield his rudeness, disrespect and vulgarity. I also have a friend who was treated with similar disrespect and Walter shrugged off that he lost business by laughing as she hung off the phone. I stopped in here to do 500 2-sided flyers in a rush. My boss told me to find a print shop that could do rush work. So I found Printing4today on the net. As soon as I handed over my file to Mr. Walter he quickly set up the file and told me it would be ready in 15 minutes. I had planned to come by later today to pick up, but was amazed at the speed and quality of the printing. When I got to my my office, my boss told me I was late, but when I showed him the 500 flyers he almost fell off his chair. He could believe that this took place so fast. Such a delightful experience!!! It's Friday morning and I get a call to come in on Monday to interview with a new talent agency. Exciting, except I ran out of headshots. Holy crap. That was seriously the fastest, easiest, cheapest printing of head shots I've encountered in over a decade as an actress. Forget printing in an hour--I was literally in and out with an actually hot of the presses stack of 100 head shots in 15 minutes. I just emailed Walter the file straight from my phone, he pulled it up, showed me the layout on the computer and I confirmed the spelling of my name, we walked into the print room, he printed one off for me to look at, I approved it, we talked about the weather for a few minutes, and boom, done. And they look fabulous, exactly as good as what I've been paying much more for at Argentum for years. No set up fees, no waiting several days. Today i went all the way from Santa Monica to this place in Van Nuys because i have to print my headshots and based on their website they provide pretty good quality and service. NOTHING OF THAT..PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE..IT'S A WAIST OF TIME AND MONEY. this is what i found. 1) I enter the address on the GPS and when you arrivto the parking lot , the store has another name "b something.." which is confusing... 2) after you explore the entrance where nobody is there the owner of the place come welcoming you and take you to their hidden office where he was asking me where i have the file. i told him i have on the flash drive and after he enter it in the computer start being anxious to find the correct file...i told him that the picture is under one folder where there are other picture and he get nervous and he tells me "WHY DON'T YOU COME TOMORROW??..YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WANT..AND I CAN'T SIT HERE WITH YOU BECAUSE I DO $200 A DAY..SO COME TOMORROW AND BRING THE FILE THAT YOU WANT!... my answer was: THE FILE I WANT IS IN THE FLASH DRIVE!!..ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT ME TO COME BACK TOMORROW? He answer back: YES BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WANT.. And of course i answer: ARE YOU SURE YOU DON'T WANT MY BUSINESS?? Hi answer: I KNOW HOW TO DO BUSINESS! Here is my review: I don't even want to give this place--and its completely unprofessional and disrespectful owner, Walter--one star. DO NOT use Printing4today!! Save yourself from Walter's abuse and foul mouth! I called to cancel an order that I had placed a few minutes before, because the wrong image had accidentally been uploaded. Walter picked up and when I told him I wanted to cancel my order he asked me idignantly, "Why?!" I started to explain the situation and he immediately started interrupting me and talked very condescendingly to me, telling me "You don't have to be afraid." I don't even understand why he said something so creepy as that to me. I asked him to please stop interrupting me and to let me finish explaining. Then he started screaming at me! Full blown screaming, incoherently, at the top of his lungs. Then he hung up on me. I called back, because I wanted my money back. He picked up and IMMEDIATELY started shouting incoherently at me again. I told him, over his screaming, that I would be contacting the authorities if he did not refund my money and there was no need to be so rude to me. Walter then screamed, "Don't ever call me again! #@*$ YOU!" and then hung up. I called back several times, because he still had not said he was going to refund my money--and my bank account had already been charged! Each time I called he picked up and then immediately hung up on me. Finally I was able to reach his voicemail and left him a message saying that I needed confirmation that I would be getting my money back, or I'd call the police to report a theft. A few minutes later he called me from this number, 213-507-1428, which was no where on his website. I did not pick up because I didn't know it was him. He left a message saying he needed my email address in order to refund my money--which made no sense, because my email address was already on the account I had set up on his website. I called back to confirm my email address, because I wanted to make sure he gave me my money back. Walter was polite and civil while I confirmed my email, BUT right as our conversation was coming to an end, Walter started getting hostile again, saying "Once you get your money back don't ever call back here again, you dumb b****!" I said, "Don't worry, I will never, ever contact you or your horrible company ever again. And I will tell all of my actor friends who need headshots printed to stay away from you. You have no right to talk to me so abusively. If I don't get my money back in a timely manner, you won't hear from me, you'll be hearing from the police." Then I hung up. By the way, the whole time I was speaking, Walter was screaming obscenities at me. Why on earth did he behave so hatefully?? Why couldn't he just get my email and then say good day? He then sent this email: "You will get your refund and I will cancel your order as requested. It will take 48 hrs or more to refund your order as your money has to be deposited in our account as it is pending and may take a day or two. And please do not call or harass anybody at this office AGAIN." I don't think he understands the meaning of "harass," because I never used the horrid language he used toward me, all I wanted was to cancel an order he hadn't even begun printing yet! This experience could have gone so much smoother and been more pleasant if he had just stayed calm and polite--you know, the way a professional is supposed to behave? read more

First of all GROSS! Not even proper offices, lightning, or seating. The place looked like some dirty man's garage. There was trash everywhere and no one obviously ever cleans the place. To make it worse we had to sit on the nasty floor. Second, the owner pompous, condescending, yet very uneducated and needs to shower. Ended up walking out and not placing an order. If I could give negative stars I would. I have been in this industry for 10 years and I have never worked with someone so condescending and lazy. I have worked with this business twice and both times I was expected to do the job I was paying for. People coming to a print shop expect the professional to help with bleeding and so on. They are not to be expected to know everything the printer knows. Otherwise why would I pay you? I was completely talked down to. My money is the only thing Walter cares about. NO CUSTOMER SERVICES WHAT SO EVER. He had the nerve to say work was done when all he did was re size my files. NOTHING WAS EVER PRINTED. I tried my best to respond nicely and with smiley faces in order to get through the project and all I ever got back was condescending remarks. We are all aware you know more about printing than we do Walter, THAT IS THE POINT. You are the professional, that is why we are paying you!!!!!!! It does not mean you have ANY right to talk down to your customers. YOU ARE NOT BETTER THAN ANYONE. In fact, you are the exact opposite. How you treat others says a lot about your character. My refund money was held hostage until I was forced to call him. Which I did not want to in order to avoid anything getting nasty, however he wouldn't refund me until I did. That is harassment. Quality is poor. I only went to him bc I needed work done last minute. At this point I'd rather not even have the cards done. He called my design poor out of spite. Which is a direct disrespect to me and talked to me like I was his child. Walter is probably the worst person I have ever worked with in the 10 years that I have worked in marketing and design. I would never consider working with him and his money stealing company even if it was the last business on earth. Lastly, he threatened me by saying he was keeping my email chain for future reference, not exactly sure why since he was the one being completely inappropriate but go ahead my friend. I am canceling my current credit card and getting a new one because after leaving this review I absolutely do not trust Walter to not charge anything to me out of revenge. He is a bad person who is not worth working with. I would not be surprised at all if all the positive reviews he has are from his friends and family. Trusting him (stupid of me, I know) I prepaid them. He refused to make it right and I took them because I really needed them. He was rude and super nasty. I will never do business here again. I have utilized Printing4Todays services to have a Resume Presentation folder created on 3 different occasions. Every time I have gone here Walter has exceeded my expectations which is why I have and will continue to come back. On my last visit I was in a huge rush as I had an interview for a promotion and had to catch a flight the next morning. I knew I was requesting a lot with no time to spare and Walter had no issues getting the job done. Not to mention I had my hyper toddler running around his office asking Walter questions and distracting him. Walter not only had my resume packet completed within minutes but he was very kind to my son and I. Needless to say I was offered the job and I will never use any other printing services. read more

I had a really great experience with Printing4Today! I needed to get headshots done and their prices couldn't be beat, especially since they'll print your resume on the back for free. I called to make sure I could upload things on the website and then placed my order. I was unable to upload the resume because I hadn't formatted things correctly so I called again and was told just to email it over. I procrastinate more then anyone so I ended up dropping in to pick them up about a week later. It turns out they didn't get printed so he printed them while I waited. It was perfect though because I got to make sure everything looked right. If you are going to swing by to pick them up I recommend just having them done as you wait anyways. Just allow 15-20 minutes. While I was waiting I chatted with Walter and he is a really nice guy. The quality of the print was great as well. I will be ordering all my other printing needs from here in the future. read more

I had a great experience with Walter. Not only did he color correct/make a border for my headshots (for free) and print 25 of them for $30, he was incredibly friendly, warm and inviting. I walked in at 12:30pm without an appointment, he welcomed me with a smile, took me into his office and went to work right away on my job. Half an hour or so later, I was on my way to an audition with a great set of headshots and time to burn. Very happy I ignored the negative reviews on here and listened to the positive ones. Went here today and Walter was beyond friendly and accommodating. I think some of the negative reviewers here are just entitled spoiled brats that expect everyone to bow down to their ridiculous desires immediately, regardless of how stupid they are. This business has an excellent website, one of the most easiest to navigate and figure out prices, options, and everything else that you will need to know to decide what you want. Go in prepared with your high-res photos on a flash-drive, tell Walter exactly what you want, and he'll personally prepare your products right there with you, adjusting everything as you watch on the computer and approve. Appointments are suggested as he appears to be a one-man operation, and he has a lot of work to get done, so I can imagine random walk-ins asking tons of idiotic questions can disrupt his work flow. And from the negative comments I've read here, it seems like most of those are from those so-called entitled idiotic customers who want the world to be revolved around themselves, and if not, they blame everyone else. Pathetic. Walked in without an appointment (sorry!), but we were PREPARED and knew what we wanted, had all our photos picked already, etc. Walter was very friendly, took us right in after finishing up with a scheduled client, worked with us on our headshots, zed cards, and business cards. Everything was super professional, and actually invigorating and fun to get such personal hand-on attention - that a customer can see every detail of the design and comment to get adjustments along the way. Unbelievable in this day and age! Walter was amazing. Do NOT believe the negative comments here. This is top-notch personal service beyond anything you will find, and at a great price-rate. Office itself is a bit messy, but I don't mind that AT ALL. In fact, I think that's a positive. Owner cares more about offering a great product and service at a great price, and not about a fancy store-front and useless bells and whistles.
