Boy did we get lucky to have found this place! My fiance & I needed to get our wedding invitations printed in a hurry, and we did a Google search and found these guys. I have worked the majority of my career in Publishing, so when it came down to printing my wedding invitations, I knew more than the average bride about the printing process. There are several boutique invitation shops in Los Angeles that know what they are doing, however they will charge you a fortune. If you are on somewhat of a budget and don't want to pay over 2k for 50 wedding invitations (which is what I was quoted), this is the place for you. I had my card design ready and all I needed was advice on what paper stock to use and printing options. If you go there, ask for Marlon. He is extremely knowledgeable about your printing options and he isn't afraid to tell you if he thinks something won't work. This is what I was looking for. These guys work with big movie studios in the LA area so they are professional, and will do personal jobs as well. It is a hidden gem, especially if you are willing to skip the posh pink glittery wedding shops, in exchange for better prices and honest quotes and ideas. I would definitely recommend! read more

About a week ago, I searched Yelp for a printing company that would assist me in creating invitations for my niece's Sweet 16 birthday. I found Printup Press and decided to go visit the store. There I met Marlon. I explained to him what I envisioned for this invitation. He was able to provide me with some suggestions and recommendations of how I would be able to bring my vision to reality in a more affordable way. Yesterday, I went back with a more solid idea of what I needed and all the materials. Marlon quickly jumped on his computer and was able to adjust/recreate my artwork and prepare it for printing. He was able to accommodate the fact that I brought my own stationary, even though it was too small for his printers. He printed a test and it was beautiful! I thought he was going to tell me to come back in a day or two to pick up the rest of the invitations, but he was able to print there right there on the spot! He cut them to the size I needed and set me on my way! I was so impressed! Marlon has been in the printing business for a long time and he really knows his stuff. I have a wedding invitations studio & I was incredibly amazed on how horrible of customer service I received from Printup. The relationship started off fantastic with them really helping out but once the printed pieces were complete and looked crappy, they were all hands up in the air and didn't care. They never apologized or attempted to make the printing look better. I approved a proof and the complete set looked nothing like the quality of the first. They said, "It's a machine and we can't control that." I'm sorry so why did I approve a "proof" then? Wow. Well maybe you are in the wrong business b/c all you do is work with machines. Then they told me "if people want wedding invitations, they shouldn't get them digitally printed." so, basically, I shouldn't use their services. I have worked with several printers and wanted to try another resource and was appalled and how they lack courtesy and professionalism. They never apologized, and their only solution was to reprint offset for $800. Wow, again, I am amazed at how they are a functioning business at all. read more
