I'm writing this review as the installers from Pelican are removing my old, louvered windows (1 x…read morekitchen, 1 x bathroom, and 4 x loft) and replacing them with Milgard V250 Style Line® Series replacements. First - I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of the way Pelican handled the scheduling of the install - or rather, bungled. The crew arrived at my home this morning just after 8:00 am with no warning at all. Surprise! It turns out their scheduler sent an email July 18 with notice of intent to install to a fancifully incorrect email address. And, when they received no response from me (and why would they?), no one at Pelican deemed it prudent to follow up with a phone call. Fire and forget? 2 stars. The process to set this up was painless. Their sales/frontman (Isael) paid 2 visits, took careful measurements, explained my options and was a total professional. Not the least bit pushy. 5 stars. OK - on to the install. In a word - slick. The 3-man crew was efficient and from what I can tell (pics attached) did a very nice job removing the old, and installing the new. Again, very professional and respectful of my home, its contents, and my time. No fuss, no muss. The whole process for 6 windows was over and done in 4 hours. Again, 5 stars. The end result - no more drafty louvered windows, replaced with energy efficient, double glazed, argon gas filled windows. I'm pleased with the result, and recommend Pelican as a first stop when shopping for replacement windows.

Several requests were made to this business to come back and redo the windows screens. An appointment was scheduled, and the tenant was waiting. However, San Diego County Glass & Windows was a "no show." Numerous attempts have been made to contact them to stand behind their work and redo the window screens. They have chosen to ignore all of the communications via email and by phone to correct their terrible work. If you value your hard-earned money, I highly suggest that you stay away from San Diego County Glass & Windows. They do not stand behind their work. There are many other reputable companies that you can hire that are licensed, will stand behind their work, and honor the warranty associated with the services that they provide. Use them at your own risk!!!

That's all i was looking for and couldn't get it for months leading to this review. For all reading this review and his response, there is nothing in my review that is false or misleading, all the order of the events are 100% true with dates included, yes there was a designer on the project but that person is no longer working on the project. Builders Direct is still not giving me an update on where the product is, if its been manufactured and their communication has left a lot to be desired. Do.Not.Use.Them. **UPDATE #2** The owner has again for the second time responded promptly today, now that this matter is public on Yelp. For context on the original issue, please see the review attached to the photos, as the character limit here does not allow me to repost it in full. For the record: Zoltan and I have been in direct communication for over a month regarding this order. Response times to my messages have consistently required repeated follow-up, often spanning several days. Today, by contrast, I received two responses within hours -- coinciding with this review's visibility on Yelp. It's hard to understand why he would continue to fight this review instead of just resolving this issue at hand. As of today, I again had to initiate contact to determine the status of our order. Our prior conversation, two weeks ago, indicated a two day build time with delivery scheduled for July 6th. No update was provided proactively; I have had to request status updates at every stage of this process. Our showroom remains incomplete pending delivery of this single panel. I have requested a direct phone call with the owner to resolve this matter today several times. That request has not been accommodated. I would note that a public response on Yelp is not a substitute for direct communication with the customer or an end user where the items are being installed, particularly when that communication was requested in advance of this review being posted and has been accommodated throughout the process until they couldn't resolve the main issue. Then they are not able to communicate with me, seems convenient. I will continue to document this matter with photos as needed so other consumers can evaluate this company's communication practices for themselves. For reference, three separate customers approached us today for door and window needs; based on our experience, we directed them to other providers, including Priority Windows and Doors. All it would take is a simple phone call from Zoltan to help resolve this issue, he would rather just try and save face. I will update you consumers if anything changes but until then I stand by my assessment of do.not.use.them.

Buyers Beware: Faulty La Cantina Door and No Accountability from Builders Direct San Diego…read more We purchased several high-end doors for our new home in Santa Monica, CA, including a very expensive La Cantina collapsible sliding glass wall system from Builders Direct in San Diego. At the time of purchase, Builders Direct recommended an installer for the project, Randy Berger. Unfortunately, from the moment of installation, the La Cantina door has never functioned properly. It has never closed or sealed correctly, despite multiple attempts to address the issue. Soon after installation, we were broken into, and we strongly believe the faulty installation or manufacturing defect contributed to this incident. Builders Direct has refused to take responsibility, despite having referred the installer themselves. There is now serious concern that the La Cantina door may also have a manufacturing defect. As we've researched this further, we've come across numerous complaints from other homeowners who have experienced similar problems with La Cantina doors, with little to no support or accountability from the manufacturer. We want to be clear: we are reasonable, honest people who made a good faith purchase and trusted the professionals involved. But this experience has been extremely disappointing and stressful. We caution others to be very careful when purchasing La Cantina products and working with Builders Direct in San Diego. We are currently exploring legal options, including a potential class action. If you have had similar issues with La Cantina doors or Builders Direct, please reach out. Consumers deserve better.

I recently had all of my windows replaced in my home with 360 Windows and Doors…read more I first met Zach at the showroom and he showed me some of the windows they offer and how they were made and took the time to answer and questions I had, and explained the differences between each of the window types. I later met Malake who facilitated the transaction. Malake was wonderful and put the whole package together and was very good at keeping me updated with changes that might occur. I called her on the weekend in the evening and she still answered my call. Absolutely awesome. We ran into a small issue with sizing on a couple of windows from the window manufacturer and 360 Windows simply offered an upgrade to those windows that had the issue at no extra cost. Talk about taking care of your customers. Lastly there was a small hiccup with the screen door that didn't make it into the shipment for my sliding glass door. 360 windows contacted the manufacturer of the windows and for whatever reason it was further delayed. Not any fault of 360. I spoke to Lauren on a few occasions regarding the screen and she decided it was taking too long to get the screen from the manufacturer and Lauren contacted a local vendor that manufactures screen doors and sent them out to build a custom screen door since the original vendor was having issues. Much appreciated!! Everyone I encountered at 360 Windows was awesome. They were patient with all my questions and friendly, responsive, explained everything and informed me of any changes. The install team were punctual and really on top of the job. I am very happy with my experience and highly recommend this company. Thank you all for a great experience. Wrong size windows were ordered, sliders were wrong color and manufactured incorrectly, screens were wrong size overlapping into the windows, window trims did not match, replacement sliders were manufactured backwards on second attempt install 2 weeks later and I had to beg them to provide correct sliders they wanted me to wait 2 more weeks. Zero apologies from anyone at US Window. I actually asked Stacy Elliot why no one has apologized and still didn't get an apology! STAY AWAY FROM this company!!!!
