He gave me the pros and the cons of my ideas and how everything should come together before even submitting his bid. His price competed favorably with the other contractors and his references all gave positive reviews. He also gave me addresses of his most recent jobs to drive by. He supplied his license information, liability insurance, bond and workers comp insurance information. Price is important of course, but there are other items I look for in selecting a contractor. Tom has an extremely low license number meaning he's been around for a long, long time-through good times and bad (since 1997). He also has long-time crew members which say a lot. His crew has an almost 100 years combined experience; two working with him since he got his license. I am a little late in my review as the job was finished in April/2023. He and his entire crew showed up on time every day until the job was finished. They all were thorough, fast as well as neat and clean. There is not much more one can ask for in a contractor.

They had the work done before any other vendor even had plans to come and take a look. heres how it went down: i requested a quote on a Wednesday, they came out the SAME DAY, gave me a very reasonable quote, and started the work the next day! doesn't sound super crazy but I wasn't even there to walk them through my wants/needs and they still knocked it out of the park! I am a travel nurse and I just bought the house so I'm. It staying or working locally, so I'm really hard to pin down but Alex and his team really worked with me to figure out the vision without being able to actually meet me in person. Couple emails and text messages later and I came home to a beautiful and completely upgraded outdoor space :) 10/10 would highly recommend them to anyone wanting some landscape artistry for their property. One specific issue I wanted to note below: Here is what the contract said: "Fix and move existing irrigation in the backyard to new shape of lawn." When they put in new irrigation, they chose to bury an old sprinkler. The old sprinkler is now leaking. Why didn't they just FIX AND MOVE the old sprinkler like the contract said? Owner danced around this question, and they won't repair it. Now I will have to pay a new company to repair it. There were some other questionable events, but I will be respectful and not go into them. I DO NOT recommend using Shear Perfection Landscape.

Chad was friendly, professional, had exceptional working knowledge, explained things perfectly, and listened to my goals (so important!). He immediately understood what I wanted to do with both yards, offering wonderful suggestions based on his years of experience. The quote I received was great, covering everything Chad and I had discussed. They were able to get me on their schedule right away. The team that came out and performed the work (Romeo, Luke, Roberto and Caesar) were exceptional. Always friendly, professional, willing to answer my many questions (lol!), and their work product was perfect. Andrea was a fantastic Admin. She kept all the paperwork and communication flowing, and was a wonderful resource when I had questions. Chad was great - onsite and present often, providing information and ensuring that I was happy with the progress. The project included: demoing the bark, patio and existing fountain; removing plants; replacing old drip and lighting lines; replacing irrigation valves and solenoids; finishing all beds with lava rock; pouring approx (1000) sq ft of concrete - 2 color stamped pattern; installing a header board along a property line; and building a mini retaining wall along the sidewalk. They cleaned up everything when they were finished, it was spotless. The work done was exactly as we discussed and I am so pleased. They will be coming back out to seal the concrete after it is done curing. Based on my wonderful experience with them I highly recommend Shear Perfection Landscaping. I will absolutely be working with them again when I have future landscaping needs. Thanks Shear Perfection for everything!
