They turned off the water source, preventing any future problems, and re-laid the pavers once the repair was complete. It looks as good as new! He…read morehappened to be in our area when I called, and was able to set a time just a few hours from when I called to come and have a look. He arrived right on time. He spent a long time discussing our project with us, and what he and his team could do. It was obvious he had a great deal of experience building retaining walls, and knew what had to be done, and how to do it. We happened to mention we needed to repair or replace our flagstone pathway. He doesn't do flagstone itself, but he did suggest a paver that looks just like random flagstones, but has several advantages compared to the real thing. At no time did we ever feel under any pressure to "choose him". He was simply professional, honest, and open with what he could do, and how it would be done. He sent us a detailed bid, breaking out the retaining wall and flagstone-like paver work separately, so we could do one, or both. His price for the retaining wall was in line with other estimates we'd gotten (and the paver pathway seemed reasonable, but we had no comparisons for that). In the end, we decided to go with a different contractor, who could do all the landscaping we are planning on. (Lee's company focuses on hardscapes only.) But if in the future we have a hardscape-only project, Lee will probably be our first call.

After the job there were some drainage issues and they can route to resolve them asap. Most recently we had them prep a large foundation for a shed. The results were fantastic. They even moved a fruit tree for free that was in the way of the foundation. We thought it wasn't but turns out you should leave the measuring to the professionals. See the before and after pics. The crew guys were also very good with our kids, chatting a little with them, telling them to stay inside when they were doing more dangerous work, etc. I couldn't recommend them more!

One specific issue I wanted to note below: Here is what the contract said: "Fix and move existing irrigation in the backyard to new shape of lawn." When they put in new irrigation, they chose to bury an old sprinkler. The old sprinkler is now leaking. Why didn't they just FIX AND MOVE the old sprinkler like the contract said? Owner danced around this question, and they won't repair it. Now I will have to pay a new company to repair it. There were some other questionable events, but I will be respectful and not go into them. I DO NOT recommend using Shear Perfection Landscape.

Chad was friendly, professional, had exceptional working knowledge, explained things perfectly, and listened to my goals (so important!). He immediately understood what I wanted to do with both yards, offering wonderful suggestions based on his years of experience. The quote I received was great, covering everything Chad and I had discussed. They were able to get me on their schedule right away. The team that came out and performed the work (Romeo, Luke, Roberto and Caesar) were exceptional. Always friendly, professional, willing to answer my many questions (lol!), and their work product was perfect. Andrea was a fantastic Admin. She kept all the paperwork and communication flowing, and was a wonderful resource when I had questions. Chad was great - onsite and present often, providing information and ensuring that I was happy with the progress. The project included: demoing the bark, patio and existing fountain; removing plants; replacing old drip and lighting lines; replacing irrigation valves and solenoids; finishing all beds with lava rock; pouring approx (1000) sq ft of concrete - 2 color stamped pattern; installing a header board along a property line; and building a mini retaining wall along the sidewalk. They cleaned up everything when they were finished, it was spotless. The work done was exactly as we discussed and I am so pleased. They will be coming back out to seal the concrete after it is done curing. Based on my wonderful experience with them I highly recommend Shear Perfection Landscaping.
