Trent was extremely knowledgeable about Yellowstone's natural wonders and the best places to view wildlife. He was flexible, patient and very accommodating. He went above and beyond even sticking around to take us to west Yellowstone restaurants after our daily tour. We saw all the natural wonders on our list, as well as most of the wildlife. We had some special moments like a momma grizzly with three, two year old cubs; a large bison traffic jam with babies, called red dogs; a baby elk hiding as it's mother is gone off feeding; a mountain goat with a baby; Coyote cubs; elks with calves; a black bear couple; and a wolf with cubs moving about. Because we are bird watchers, Trent adjusted our tour to accommodate some bird watching and we were able to check off quite a few birds on our life list. In setting up our tour, David was fantastic. He was patient and accommodating for our lodging needs. This made our trip extra special. We highly recommend Yellowstone family adventures for your trip to Yellowstone. We definitely plan on using them in the future.

My husband caught his first Montana trout on a fly rod thanks to them! We didn't even have fly fishing in our 7 day itinerary, but my husband mentioned it to David on day two and he made it happen by the end of the trip! We did the 3 hr…read moreride and it was not a nose-to-tale trail ride you are actually riding ( up and down ridges, rocks, creek crossings, mud, ect.). Our guide Owen was great. The horses we were on were Big Kent and Big Tex- both were great and they did well for us and we ( experienced riders) loved it that we actually had to ride them. Horses are nice and fat/healthy. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area

They are the ONLY horseback riding with permits to enter Tetons and Yellowstone . Other Yellowstone horseback riding is through xantera or whatever the main Yellowstone commercial Company that manages all the hotels/restaurants/staff for general stores, very Disneyland/commercial. Wilderness Trails is family owned, rural, one of a kind. We felt like a family on the prairie. They literally plop horse corrals and tents and cooking station in the middle of grand Tetons and Yellowstone on a meadow/prairie like plot of land. All the staff live there in tents and some campers and so you basically join "their family" and live that life. They had a professional chef that came from a Michilin Star restaurant (he was not technically a Michilin chef) but food was amazing and so well Done! We got to eat with our horse wranglers and the chef and felt like part of their family. They all had their own dog and my kids had so much fun running around with all The doggies:) they had a warm outdoor like shower and you are in the middle of nature bathing amd my daughter said it was the best shower of her life! It was my 7 year olds first time horseback riding and she did just fine! My other kids were 10 and 12-they wanted to "live there" and asked if we could have their bday parties there. After years of road tripping across this country, many of them having scheduled stops in…read moreYellowstone National Park, my family and I wanted to try something a little different this year. Mrs. Picante found this little campsite at Hebgen Lake. Assuming the whole area would be rather beautiful, we threw caution to the wind and booked it for three nights. The campsite is a couple of miles off the main highway, along a fairly well-maintained road that heads out into the wilderness. Our campsite was flat and very close to the pit toilets, but also very close to the Lakeshore. Our California plates got us a couple of second glances from a few folks, but nothing to worry about. All who love nature and respect her always seem to be welcomed among people who quickly become friends. I had heard whispers that this particular lake has a pretty good brown trout fishery, and I was not disappointed. Granted, a couple of locals and a multi campsite large family gathering we're overheard whispering to each other about "the guy with California plates and the long rod throwing the bass lure" ... but although this was not water I had fished before, I've learned a thing or two over the years. Patience and persistence paid off, as I landed quite a few fish including one of the largest I've ever caught. And I think I earned a lot of respect from those same locals, when I snapped a few nice pictures with my fish, turned back to the water, and watched her swim away, released healthy to fight another day. Fishing licenses can be purchased online, which is how I got mine. Notably, this is grizzly bear country, so putting your things away in the provided bear boxes is essential for the safety of other campers and of course the Bears themselves. There were quite a few jet skiers and other pleasurecraft folks on the water during the day, but things settle down in the evening, which of course lasts a long time during summer in those northern latitudes. My family enjoyed renting a paddleboard for the day, and I labored through blowing up their inflatable inner tubes at altitude, much to their delight. Absolutely beautiful country up here, and a place I hope I get to visit again.

We had such a fun experience at Yellowstone ATV! We took the ATV out for 4 hours and went on a very…read morescenic trip up the mountain. You get to explore the trail on your own and stop at the top to take pictures and enjoy the view. You can also go at your own pace and go as fast or as slow as you feel comfortable with. We finished a bit early at the owner was kind enough to let us know about another nearby trail we could explore.

This was my first trail race & I'm addicted. I want to participate in all the other vacation races now, it's just pricey to travel for all of them. Pros: -AMAZING views in the second half of the half marathon -Love/hate the challenging hills -Cup free policy, everyone got free hydra pouches -Lenient refund policy -Holiday Inn was close walk from start line -Multiple race challenges (I participated in the Bison Double-5k Fri night & half Sat am) -Special swag & additional medal just for Bison Double! -Caldera Triple was Teton Half, YS 5k, YS half -Grizzly Double was Teton Half & YS half -Clubs & trifecta options -S'mores during expo & after race, yummay! -Smokey the bear cheering us on -Snacks at hydration stations -Bug spray at one of the stations Cons: -A lot of people twisting ankles & falling from the rough terrain -Waayyyy too many people for such small trails (Not always following race etiquette) -My party complained about the chaos at the hydration stations but I didn't have any problems
