So much fun! The guide who drove us to drop us off at the top was super nice. They've upgraded their facilities but doubled the price! It cost $130 per person. We will definitely take our own vehicles and kayaks next time. The scenery was amazing! read more

Far too expensive, the paddle had a crack in it, and the board didn't have a rudder making it nearly impossible to maneuver. That said, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the river was beautiful. read more

Lots of great options and provided transportation and life jackets. It was a bit pricy but we did have a blast.

Had a super fun afternoon here. We went for canoeing at 4:30PM. It was big enough to fit 2 adults and 1 child (5 years old). We went down the river in a bit over an hour but the adults paddled pretty hard. There were a few places where the river was a bit shallow and we got stuck and had to go out to push the canoe but overall the experience was great. In the end after we docked, we headed over to the store inside the Inn for ice cream to finish off the day. Overall awesome experience. Will come again if I am ever in the area again. read more

This was a great trip we rented a raft we had 6 in our group and raft was perfect kids had a blast . We saw 3 moose pelicans and lots of trout. Lookout for the rope swing the kids loved it. Water was cool but we got used to it. Great time was had by all. read more

The float down big springs is great, but the price to rent a raft is ridiculous! It used to be $75 years ago. Then, it went up to $120. Now that Marriott has bought the business, it's gone up to $285! The shuttle convince is nice if you only have 1 car, but I'm not sure it's worth the cost... read more

One of our favorite activities when we come to Island Park. We rented 1 raft for all of us. Our young grandkids esp enjoyed seeing all the wildlife (fish, ducks, moose, hawks, etc.). The beauty during the float trip is breathtaking. The service was exceptional. We'll definitely plan on doing it again in future years. read more

I always make sure I write a review for great service. This business is extremely efficient, and as a result your activity is smooth and easy. Ordering online is clear and succinct. Check in is easy and quick. The staff was very pleasant and worked with our 26-person group without blinking an eye, many of us are smaller children. We needed more than one van and trailer, both were loaded and ready to deliver us and our gear to the dock. When there was a backup at the drop-off dock that was not fault of theirs, they were patient with the other groups holding up their schedule. Upon returning to the beach to drop off our rentals, they greeted us with pleasant attitudes and asked how our activity turned out. The equipment was in good repair and quality, something that I don't always get when renting water equipment. Great efforts, great job! read more

We had a great time tubing yesterday! It was kind of a bummer that there was 3 spots that the river was so shallow that we had to walk, but that's no fault of Mack's! We even saw a moose! I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because they charged full price for us to have an extra tube for our cooler. I think maybe half priced would have been more fair. But it was still a great float! Very expensive 10min shuttle ride from Macks to Big Springs Boating Launch, around 32 bucks! This is just wrong. I guess they get away with it because they are the only business providing transport. All their rentals are triple prices compare to others. read more

We waited an hour and 20 minutes to even get on the shuttle to be dropped off. Then it took over three hours to float the river because it was so slow and shallow. Not a great experience especially for the high price. I would rent somewhere else or bring my own tubes next time. read more

We had a great time Kayaking in a island park. We left our car at Mack's inn, and got on a bus. The bus takes you to a dock where the crew helps you get in your kayak and you are off. It takes about 2hrs to float down. We saw a moose and her calf. The river is really shallow in spots. At the end of your float you come out right next to Mack inn. This is the second year we've rented kayaks. We have had good experiences both years. The equipment was in good condition & the employees were helpful and friendly. We had so much fun! We rented a raft and 2 SUP's for our extended family of 8. The weather was sunny and a bit chilly, but don't let that deter you. We left at 11:30 and the temperature was only 68 with a breeze. We were hesitant about how cold it felt but it felt hot in the direct sun and we are so glad we went. It's beautiful, fun, and scenic. Our family of four decided to go rafting while in the area and this was a wonderful experience. We booked our reservation online, and everything was well-organized when we arrived for the 9:30 am time. We were loaded into vans and driven about 5-10 minutes to the launch site. The assistants were very personable and did all of the loading/unloading. We had a fantastic time floating down the river looking for wildlife. Some areas of the river are a little shallow in areas, but if you watch where you're going, it is easy enough to paddle towards the deeper areas. We are so glad we had the opportunity to experience this trip and would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy, relaxing river float trip to spend time outside looking for wildlife! read more

We rented a raft for seven of us to do the river float. Mack's is a first class business from the online reservation, staff, shuttle drivers, equipment-the river can get a bit low in a few spots but the grandkids loved this as a chance to get out and get wet. Took our picnic lunch and had a great time. *kayaks looked super fun and were a quicker float. We stopped in to have a drink by the water. Very casual atmosphere with a lot of families. The inside space was very hot but clean. The outside area had tables overlooking the water. The pizza was good and they had a wide variety of drinks and ice cream. The next day we enjoyed the float trip. Very slow in spots but a nice ride down the river. Rented kayaks and floated the river from Big Springs 4 miles down to the highway. The river was very low, causing lots of in and out of the kayak and pushing. Mack's Inn adventures itself is very nice and has great staff, however they didn't prewarn us of lousy River conditions this year, for kayaking. read more
