My recent visit is a reminder why I didnt frequent this place for years. I got a gel matte mani and regular pedi. Pedi is holding up fine, but the gel mani chipped within 4 days :( after 6 days, half my nails on each hand had barely any gel (and I wore gloves when doing hard labor). Other places I frequent typically last 2-3 weeks without any chips or cracks. I would not recommend this place for the latest nail designs and color. I asked for matte nails and they were definitely not matte, still had a gloss. Even my technician realized it so she had the owner finish applying the matte polish. They both casually played it off like this is how it's supposed to look. Now I know why I was always willing to pay the extra dollars at the newer salon down the street. read more

Melanie did my manicure and JC (Jacey?) did my pedicure. They both were very nice and Melanie's positive energy was great. Absolutely love getting my nails done here! I've been a client of there's for 2 years & I wouldn't go anywhere else! Their tools are clean & they always keep everything sanitized. I get my nails done by my favorite manicurist jessie! & my pedi done by lee! I always make an appointment to come in but sometimes I walk in and they have me ready to go with coffee & water within 5 minutes..maybe because I'm a returning customer but their service is great! I used a Groupon and brought my daughter with me. The salon is impeccably clean and they went out of their way to be nice. They have lots of gel colors and did everything that we requested, even 3 coats of get polish. Long story short, the woman didn't wait long enough to let the gel dry, and when she went to put the final coat my nails smudged and the whole hand had to be redone! We planned a girls' day ... and booked 5 appointments at the same time... everyone was able to get started right away, no waiting! Loved their attention to detail and clean tools (deal breaker) .. I am never quick to write a bad review however I will never return here due to poor service and management.I have been a loyal customer to this nail salon for the past 3 years. I always come in for my regular gel mani and gel pedi ( $61 ) However after my most recent experience here I will never come back. Less than 24 hours after getting my nails done the gel color changed ( light pink to blotchy black and pink ). I came in promptly and showed one of the ladies who sits in the front what happened and of course she remembered me from the day before. She said this was normal for anyone who recently colored their hair or wore clothes that bleeded color. The only problem is I did neither of that in the last 24 hours!!!. I asked her to change the color and she said no problem but we will need to charge. This is entirely unacceptable. Later she offered to only charge for my toes since nothing was wrong with my toes..I explained that if this happened to my nails it would eventually happen to my toes. Not only that but I always get matching colors on my hands and feet.. She said well you shouldn't choose a light color. ( I will decide what color my mani and pedi will be thank you) any decent gel color should not fade or change within 1 day!!! Oh and not only was she speaking about me to the other ladies in their native language but she was so rude and argumentative. Paid an additional $20 for a color change. First of all the owner is very unprofessional and rude. Sometimes im scared to talk to her because honestly i feel like shell jump on me and hurt me!!!! She puts you down infront of every one if you ask her to fix something!!! I used to come here every alot but man the owner needs to see a doctor and take some medications before she hurts someone! I got a full set of acrylics here on 7/22/13 and they lasted without chipping for 3 weeks. I work at a job with a lot of manual labor so that was surprising. Their prices are awesome and it's literally a 5 minute drive from my apartment. I also get my eyebrows waxed here. 10$ for a great job. When it comes to my mani and pedi Im very very picky and this is the only place that I have been in the last TEN years that knows what they are doing. Everyone here is beyond great and honest. They take their time with each client and they don't rush. They are very profession and knowledgable. The ONLY place that hasn't cut me deep while cleaning the cuticles or the ingrown skin. Wow this nail salon is awesome, I came on a Tuesday and got a mani-pedi for 22 dollars! (pedi is in the spa chair not a bucket). As soon as I came in, I was greeted by someone really nice and was seated right away. She really took her time and paid attention to detail! You know how sometimes, the technician can rush because she wants to get through a lot of people??? Not the case here, she acted like I was the only one around. She seemed more concerned about how my nails looked at the end than I did (which is pretty incredible)! The other thing that was nice, is that when I came in she asked me what I wanted to drink, which included soft drinks and she gave me a diet coke in a chilled can, ( a whole can) LOL I am just used to the high end spa's offering you wine/acai shots/chocolate truffles etc...it's awesome that your local neighborhood spa goes out of their way to make it an experience for you at a very convenient price. read more

The name Pristine is definitely an accurate one for this place. I have never been to a more clean nail salon in LA. They open new packs of utensils for each customer and have plastic wrapped around the foot spa. And they give a little bottle of water to each customer, which is an extra nice touch. read more

Tammy is truly a gem. I only trust her to do my waxing. She makes you feel so comfortable, and works SO quickly, but thoroughly. Although I prefer her to do my nails, all of the ladies that work at the salon are great. She does get booked up, so if you would prefer her to perform your services, I would call well in advance. They have a wide array of colors in both regular and gel. The salon is very clean, and they even offer all of their customers a small bottle of water to enjoy while they are being pampered. I'm so glad my cousin referred me to Tammy. I wish I had more time in my schedule to be able to visit on a more regular basis. My usual place was closed and I had an interview in a few hours so I was forced to go here. I walked in and they helped me shortly upon my arrival. Their color selection is mainly either opi or Essie. They even give complementary bottled water. They did a pretty clean job with my manicure. But the reason why they get 3 stars is because when I was waiting for my nails to dry I reached into my wallet to pay the lady and she took the liberty to open my wallet and count my money and take it out without me even asking for it.
