The reviews were SO positive that I was a little skeptical. How could anyone be that good? Now I get it. The five-star reviews are spot-on. Here's my story. My kids were going to a different orthodontist, and an incident made us doubt the quality of care. After stewing for a week, I stopped by Pristine Orthodontics, thinking that we might switch. I first explained my situation to Blanca at the desk, and she gave a thoughtful, first-blush assessment. Then Dr. Lee saw me immediately (yeah!) and talked over my situation, which was complicated from multiple perspectives. Dr. Lee suggested he take a quick look at my kids the following afternoon. Blanca got me all set up to do the necessary paperwork, and somehow I got responses at 9:30 PM. I hope those were automated; otherwise, she needs better work / life balance! :-) I brought in my kids today, and Dr. Lee took a look. In the few minutes that followed, I learned more about their teeth than I ever had before. Then he stepped back and reviewed my whole situation: the concerns I had about their current doctor, the importance of continuity-of-care, and how I could best serve my kids. Dr. Lee recommended that I give the current orthodontist another chance (partly based on his positive impression) and suggested how I might engage most successfully. Still, he said that he'd be available as a backup plan if things just didn't work out. Negotiating the medical system is pretty hard, so I really appreciated his thoughtful advice. Aside from the big stuff, Dr. Lee does the little, subtle things that make people comfortable. So let's tally this up: immediate advice that incorporated both medical considerations and bigger-picture concerns, a recommendation that on balance he NOT take our business right now, help in negotiating our disconcerting situation, and the bill... $0. My retainers broke a couple weeks ago, and I needed a replacement. Blanca was able to get me in immediately to see Dr. Lee. In addition to replacing my retainers, I had a concern regarding spacing between my lower teeth and asked if it was possible to have a consult for that. When I met Dr. Lee, I thought he'd agree and tell me I needed Invisalign, but he actually told me that my teeth were fine and recommended we make new retainers for me. Just picked up my retainers and he made some adjustments to make sure they fit perfectly. The staff here are super nice, office is beautiful and so clean too. In a world where most Doctors are above their patients, Dr Lee is not. He is in fact a model of a Doctors relationship with their patient. He's kind and treats you as a friend in which he wants only the best for. He's not profit centered, in fact he turned money away when I was trying to pay him. My medical doctor said I need jaw surgery and to find an orthodontist before we can do the surgery. I found Dr Lee, and he immediately knew I wasn't a candidate for his services yet and also disagreed with my MD as he doesn't think I need surgery. He still took his time to explain my situation and recommend me to a colleague of his who specializes in Prosthodontics. The best best best. As an adult woman, I always thought my upper teeth were straight but noticed my lower teeth were progressively crooked. Consulted with a few orthos but decided on Dr Lee because he's meticulous and noticed irregularities in my teeth that no other ortho saw. He also kept it real by saying I had to do my part to keep up with the dental hygiene and to stay on top of my rubber bands. With his treatment plan, I saw huge improvements after 4 weeks and was able to remove my braces a little over a year. I am now on retainers and I'm shocked at how my "after" teeth looks sooooo much straighter than my "before" teeth. Never knew my teeth were that crooked! Dr Lee gets 5 stars because altho wearing braces is never pleasant, he makes the journey bearable with his comfort, care and genuine concern for you. His staff is attentive (one of his assistants noticed my lips were chapped and offered vaseline) and his office manager is HILARIOUS and ALWAYS ON TOP of my file.
