We had a tub faucet that was leaking so the rep from Pristine came out and diagnosed and fixed it right away. He was on time (actually early- and called to see if that was ok) which was great. My only negative comment is that he didn't wear any shoe covers. His shoes were obviously dirty from being outside and he tracked into the house, up our white carpeted stairs, and then left the tub really dirty. I don't expect someone to clean the tub after fixing it, but I would have liked him to take more care. read more

In one of my favorite Seinfeld episodes, Jerry & Elaine made reservations for a rental car; however, when they went to the rental counter to pick up the car, they were told no car was available because all of the cars were rented out. Funny banter about the meaning of "reservation" ensued. I had a similar experience with Pristine Plumbing, except without the funny banter. I agreed to a written estimate and made a written appointment for a water heater installation four weeks ahead of the installation date; the two owners themselves confirmed the appointment by email. I take a day off work for the appointment. No one showed. I called several times the same morning of the appointment to inquire status -- no one answered. Later in the day, I get a call from owner Don, he stated he called me a week earlier and since I did not return the call to confirm the appointment he assumed I did not want the installation. No apology, no attempt to send a plumber; he just said it was my fault for not confirming an appointment he and his wife/co-owner confirmed with me four weeks earlier. I wanted to use Don's company based on the great reviews. I am sure they do good work, but I do not know and will never know because they are absolutely unreliable. Taking a reservation/appointment is easy, apparently for Pristine Plumbing, not keeping their commitment is easier. read more

Would not recommend. We had some basement flooding and reached out to Pristine Plumbing to have someone come take a look at our sump pump to make sure it was installed/working correctly. Person came and basically glanced at it, said they couldn't really do anything but would follow up with a list of other companies to call, and charged us $80 for the service call fee. We got no follow up for other companies to call, so basically paid $80 to receive NO evaluation or advice. Husband called company later that day to ask about the follow up information we were supposed to receive, and the lady who answered the telephone bit his head off, accusing him of not wanting to pay the service fee (even though he NEVER said that and that was not our intention, despite feeling ripped off for not really getting any real service). Did not appreciate being treated like crap for zero reason, and still to this day never got the follow up info we were promised. read more

I had a toilet replaced (about $500 including the new toilet and removal/haul away of the old toilet), a leaky faucet removed and a new one installed (about $400 including the new faucet), and new fittings installed to fix an old burst pipe (about $80). They offered several options for the toilet and the faucet, so I was able to choose what worked for me and my budget. Front office staff were extremely helpful and responsive, and Eric arrived on time, took care of the whole project in a couple hours, provided instructions and tips for use, and left the house perfectly clean. Refused to take responsibility for any damage to new pipe when cleaning out the tub drain. Charged $400 for an hour's work! Said his wife would clean up the invoice with accurate contact and owner's information, but didn't - took two cycles of emails to finally clean it up with license number, clarified guarantees and insurance company name - S.O.P. for any decent contractor invoice. I had Pristine Plumbing out several months ago to fix an issue with my bathtub. While my hot water heater worked like a champ, the guest shower water was only lukewarm. They came out on a Friday afternoon and seemed pretty rushed to finish the job, which required some troubleshooting. In the end, the tub fixture was replaced and the water is somewhat warmer, but still nowhere near the temperature of other faucets in the house.
