The folks at pristine pool are top shelf. They take the time to talk to you, an explain everything to you. The ladies in the front office are wonderful to work with, an especially the young lady Xochi. She is really a pleasure to work with. She is very personable, friendly, cares that your happy. Be wary of this company as they are great at sales and the service does not match. I don't mind paying premium rates when the service matches and certainly not my experience. Always, need to replace lots of items and also don't stand by their commitment. Super expensive and not worth the price by any means...lots of better options out there. read more

I really had hoped that Pristine would be my "go to", professional pool place. Unfortunately, it didn't work out. Here is how my experience went; I emailed them with an issue I was having with my in ground pool. There was air in the pump and air bubbles coming out of the return. They quickly responded to my email and said it would be $140 to come out and diagnose the issue. I paid the $140 in advance and a few days later two men came out. The diagnosis was that I needed a new filter and new plumbing. I soon received an invoice for $2,234.97. I paid that invoice in advance. A few days later two different guys showed up and installed the new filter and plumbing. One "tech" had already left before completion and the remaining tech was in a hurry to get to another job so he left saying he would be back later to finish up. He called later saying he would be back the next day. I could not be there the next day so he returned in the evening to finish the install. After what turned out to be, literally, an all day job, the problem still existed, only a bit worse (more air). He mentioned that a missing o ring on the pump drain plug could be the problem. I was thinking, $2,374.97 later and it was actually an o ring?? The next day I noticed a plumbing leak near a valve "tech 2" installed. A few days later two more guys showed up to "fix" the leak and look at the problem again. They fixed the plumbing leak. They replaced the o ring. No difference. "Maybe a cracked lid", but they didn't have a lid. I purchased a new lid, no difference. Then it was decided that I needed a new variable speed motor / pump with computer. I currently have a single speed motor as it is just a basic pool, no spa, or other accessories to run. Soon I received an invoice for $1601.86 for a variable speed pump / motor. In the mean time I researched variable speed pumps and concluded that I didn't want or need one for my application. Especially since there was no guarantee that this would finally solve the problem. I asked for a price for a single speed 3/4hp pump. They sent an invoice of $1,133.00 for a single speed pump. That is quite high so I asked why. It is because they "would have to order it and pay shipping". It seemed they wanted to sell the "in stock" pump. At that point all communication ceased. Bottom line, I paid for a diagnosis, which was wrong, I paid for equipment that I didn't need and didn't solve the problem and they don't seem to care. Based on my experience and other reviews, use your best judgement. Note, his response will be, "the lady is impossible to please, we did everything". Everything but FIX THE PROBLEM that THEY charged to diagnose the solution for. I have had many tradespeople to the property for various services and not a negative review in the bunch ... until now. read more

They bid on a heat pump for our Condo pool.They were give the specific brand and model. They submitted a quote for the unit and received the bid. They Billed us for the model and brand that we requested. They then installed another heated made by a direct manufacture. In 2021, we acquired a property adjacent to our home in New Buffalo -- with an abandoned and decades-old in-ground pool . Pristine did an amazing job bringing it to like-new condition. Richard, Phil and Heather were responsive, courteous, friendly and patient with all of our questions - which were many since we've never owned a pool. But most importantly, they were extremely professional, knowledgeable, thorough, and committed to restoring the pool to the highest quality possible -- including needed repairs to the foundation, new liner, all new equipment, etc. They always went above and beyond expectations. In addition to quality work, they are wonderful instructors on all things a new pool-owner needs to know. We just finished a HUGE 1 year long project with Pristine Pools. Our pool and limestone patio are GORGEOUS. They truly did an amazing job!!! Glenn and Dylan are so experienced and knowledgeable. Jerry, who installed everything, is the hardest working man I have ever met. They also do our weekly service and do a great job. I see that people have written about communication issues. While this is something Pristine could improve on, their work product and work ethic FAR exceed any minor communication issues. The worst company I have ever worked with. There is absolutely no organization, promises are never kept, appointments are never honored. The year they took care of my pool, it was always dirty. No matter how may times I complained, it never improved. I thought I was doing a good thing, working with a local, small, family run business. They truly don't care if the work is done right or not. I would NOT recommend them to anyone. I don't understand how Pristine has almost 5 stars on Google. We used them for a year (2019 season) and the communication and service was awful! We rent our home throughout the summer and have lost returning guests because our pool looked like a swamp most weeks. They said we needed a new filter which we replaced, but overall they weren't coming out to check on the pool like they said they did. Hire someone honest! read more
