Four hours later Ray and David were at our house trouble shooting our panelboard circuits. After checking everything possible, they found a loose neutral connection at our meter outside. Our experience started when Mr Jenkins came to our home to review the project we were about to embark on, walked us through how they work, provided us with a copy of their prices, left a log-in sheet, and said his project manager would arrive the next day to introduce themselves. When I went to pick out tile, the project manager met me at the tile company. (That is another review.....) There were all kinds of issues with the tile company, and instead of weeks, it took MONTHS for us to receive materials. Jenkins's and Co bird-dogged that for me so I didn't have to. As soon as the materials arrived, they started work and stayed on the job until it was done. Turns out the tile company shorted us on floor tile (tile employee who measured our bath apparently flunked basic math).To compound the situation, the tile was imported from Italy and the only place in the country to MAYBE get more was from Fifth Ave, NY. Jenkins's implored the tile company for options, they gave us the floor sample and finally found one remaining tile stashed in their warehouse (WHEW!!). Even through NUMEROUS issues with the tile supplier, Jenkins and Co worked doggedly to get my project done as quickly, and as excellently as possible, even finding an alternate tile supplier for slab after employee at first place neglected to order the vanity slab. I will GLADLY use Jenkins of Northern Neck again, and HIGHLY recommend them for whatever project you have. If I could give them TEN stars, I would!

The rating is 2 stars because they initially showed up for the estimate, but I guess they don't need the work. Thank you finally for an answer. Yes, you did provide an estimate on stair railings and I did go a different way because you could not provide the style railings I wanted. But it was totally unprofessional to go through the motions of providing an estimate with no intention of doing so, and then not telling me that in the beginning, especially after I asked about your interest in the project. I wanted to share my experience following a service visit on Monday, July 6th. The technician who…read morecame to our home was professional, thorough, and took the time to properly inspect and test our HVAC system. Based on his evaluation, he stated that the unit itself appears to be operating properly. However, what he told me afterward was very concerning. He explained that, because of the design and layout of our home, I should never have been sold this particular system if the expectation was for it to adequately cool both levels of the house. In his professional opinion, the current system will never perform the way I was led to believe it would, and the proper solution would be to install a second unit in the attic. That raises a serious question: if this system was never capable of adequately cooling our home, why was it recommended and sold to us in the first place? We made a significant investment based on the expectation that the system being recommended by the professionals would be appropriate for our home and provide adequate comfort throughout both levels. I do not believe this is a situation where we should be expected to simply accept the outcome or compromise on something that was misrepresented from the start. We relied on your expertise, and the responsibility for correcting this issue should not fall on us. At this point, I am disappointed and concerned that we were sold a system that was never properly suited for our home. This issue was not caused by us, and I expect the company to take responsibility and make it right. I will be happy to update this review based on how the situation is handled moving forward.
