**1 STAR -- Extremely Unprofessional and Disrespectful Customer Service** I am extremely disappointed with DB's Plumbing and Drain. This was one of the worst experiences I have had trying to schedule a plumbing service. I received a written appointment confirmation for **Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM**. Nobody contacted me by 11:00 AM. I had to call the company myself to find out what was happening. I was then told the appointment would be rescheduled to **11:30 AM-1:30 PM**. I received a SECOND written confirmation from the company clearly showing **11:30 AM-1:30 PM**. I arranged everything around this appointment. My tenant and the downstairs tenant were also waiting because access to the property had been coordinated for the plumber. Then someone from DB's Plumbing called me and demanded my tenant's full name. I explained that I could not provide that information because my tenant had specifically instructed me not to share his personal information with contractors. The representative also requested my credit card information over the phone. I attempted to provide it, but the payment did not work. I was in a busy grocery store at the time and was not comfortable reading my entire credit card number, expiration date, and security code aloud in public. After that, the representative ended the call. I continued waiting because I had a **written appointment confirmation**. What is absolutely unacceptable is that **DB's Plumbing canceled the appointment without notifying me.** I, my tenant, and the downstairs tenant waited until **1:30 PM**. Nobody called, texted, or emailed me to say the appointment had been canceled. At 1:30 PM, I had to call the company AGAIN. Only then was I told that the appointment had been canceled because I had not provided the tenant's name. If providing the tenant's name or completing a credit-card authorization was a requirement for the service, **WHY DIDN'T YOUR COMPANY TELL ME THAT BEFORE CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT?** And if you decided to cancel the appointment, **WHY DIDN'T ANYONE HAVE THE PROFESSIONAL COURTESY TO NOTIFY ME?** You cannot send a customer a written appointment confirmation, allow the customer and two other people to wait for hours, cancel the appointment without notice, and then expect the customer to discover the cancellation by calling you. This wasn't just an inconvenience for me. **Three people wasted their time waiting for a company that had already canceled the appointment without telling us.** Very poor communication. Very poor customer service. Very unprofessional handling of a scheduled appointment. **I would not recommend DB's Plumbing and Drain.** If you use this company, make sure you confirm shortly before the appointment that they have actually kept your appointment and ask them to clearly provide ALL requirements beforehand. I've used this company before but this review is for the most recent experience. I submitted a request for a toilet replacement project through Yelp and DB's responded. They seemed prompt and professional, so I made an appointment. I liked that there was no charge to have a plumber come out and provide an estimate. I was the first property on the day of the appointment and Duncan was on time. I already purchased the toilet to be installed, so he provided an estimate for the work and I agreed to move forward. He answered all my questions and explained all of the costs and I ended up getting a membership for a future inspection. The work took about an hour and a half, and Duncan explained a couple of things along the way. Like, he had to use the toilet seat from the old unit because I didn't order one with the new. And the floor was uneven so he had to add a piece to "shimmy" the toilet so it wouldn't rock. The caulking dried clear and you can see the piece that was added which is a bit odd, but that's a minor cosmetic detail. read more

Quality of work was okay but we will see if the replacement to drain pipe lasts the warranty period. I was quoted over $4 hundred for a simple toilet move and replacement of ring, which is not the service I got done but before I knew the real problem. Anyone with a sense of hiring contractors may scream inside of that price. I hired them because it said prices were reasonable on yelp and because I had a leak and due to time constraints. Also they over blew up the potential of water damage which turned out to be not a problem. Would recommend hiring someone with more reasonable pricing. read more

I had a high pitch sound coming from the toilet after flushing and DB Plumbing sent Marv over same day. He diagnosed the issue and offered a fair priced solution after giving me details of the issue at hand and he was done within 30 minutes. My son then asked me to have Marv take a look at his shower as his tub was not draining and within a couple minutes Marv diagnosed the issue being the overflow valve and offered a simple fix that also took less than 30 mins to complete.
