This is a great optometry office! *Easy to make appointments (call, email and even text to confirm appointments) *They open until 7pm on Mon and Wed so you can go after work *Staff is very polite and knowledgeable *Clean and organized waiting area and exam rooms *Doctors are informative and patient When I first called to get information, they verified my insurance right away and sent me paperwork to expedite my first visit. Talk about efficiency! The wait is never more than just a few minutes. Dr. Dizon is friendly and polite. She showed me 3D imaging of my eyes and explained everything very well and easy to understand. I have been having dry eyes and she put me on fish oil supplements, eye compress and eyelid foam cleanser which she sold me at reasonable prices. They have some frames and sunglasses (RayBan, Coach, Kate Spade, etc) but wished they had a bit more variety at different price points. I highly recommend them! P.S. I've been going to the same optometrist for 10+ years, making the trek all the way to Fountain Valley for a pretty mundane experience. my husband has been going to Private Eyes and recently got me to switch and I'm so glad I did. Sometimes when you're comfortable, you just keep with your routine, but from the moment I got to Private Eyes, I knew I'd been missing out on some new, high tech testing and some newer contacts options. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. I was attended to quickly and went through some tests i was familiar with, but i was also offered up an entire retinal photo which I agreed to. Dr. Quang was knowledgeable, personable, and didn't sugarcoat anything for me - he told me the brand I was using for contacts was outdated and sent me home with two different samples to test and see which one best suited my lifestyle. Major pluses for this place: open until 7p on weeknights and open on Saturdays - great for a busy working mom like myself. Appointments can be made online and text reminders are sent. I can't recommend Dr. Quang enough. Don't be fooled by his youth. He is very knowledgeable, patient and professional. Dr. Quang was very thorough with examining my eyes, not only for vision correction, but overall eye health. He answered all my questions and then some. All I wanted to do was replace the nose pads on my glasses. They said they wouldn't be liable if they bent the frame and I said go for it.... How could one bend the frame doing such a simple thing. I got them back after a long 5-7 minutes.....and I had some rough spots on my lenses when I got them back. So far I can't get those off and they weren't there prior to going in. One is pretty big. They are my 450 dollar sunglasses. They said they didn't do anything to the lenses.....behind the curtain they have up. I am sure this post won't last as there are ways to take them down. read more

Dr Hsu really cares about my eyes and my well being. She is sincere and is on top of the latest technology. A couple or so years ago, Dr Hsu recommended CRT lens to me because, I was afraid of lasering my only eyes, yet tired of glasses and contacts. Best advice ever. She really worked with me patiently and sought other professionals when I had many hiccups with the lenses in the beginning. With my new sight, i could do more activities without hassel of breaking my glasses, scratching them or losing my contacts, carring eye drops, etc. Her staff is very friendly and professional. I came for my daughter and returned a few days later for myself. I found this optometrist here on Yelp. We really were pleased with Dr Quang and all of the staff. Dr Quang is very knowledgeable, with an eye for details. Im naturally curious and ask questions about numbers, results of images of my eye, etc. You can tell they care about their patients and want to share their findings and he does a really thorough assessment to ensure that your prescription is just right. All of the front staff were pleasant, helpful and kind. The selection of prescription glasses was up to date and stylish. The staff who assist with finding eye glasses are patient, helpful and not overly aggressive as I have experienced elsewhere. My daughters glasses arrived in less than a week-5 days!! I recently had to update my contact and glasses prescription and was looking for a new Doctor in my local area. The last couple of times I went to different Doctors and although my experience with them was descent, it was not great enough to go back to them the following year for my annual check up. That being said, I started looking for new Doctors in my area via Yelp. That is when I stumbled upon Private Eyes Optometry. They had amazing reviews and their photos of the office looked clean either recently remodeled or new. So I decided to book an appointment. They were able to get me in within that very same week, which I was totally surprised, especially with Covid going on. Booking the appointment was easy and they even sent me a reminder text to confirm I was still able to make the appointment-which I love~! They told me I need to wear a mask and they would be asking a series of Covid related questions as well as take my temperature upon arrival. When I arrived for my appointment, the staff was super friendly and very professional. They did a wonderful job of taking precautions relating to Covid. They also made sure I was not in contact of any other patients. The office was very clean and appeared to be recently remodeled. As they began the appointment, they were sure to sanitize before and after use of equipment. They also had equipment that was modern and new technology to the industry. I had never seen some of the equipment they used before. In fact, instead of dilating my eyes, they used a new devices that takes images of the back of the eye. Dr. Hsu shared with me in detail my images and even took the time to explain "eye health" and how our eyes can tell us so many thing that could be going on in our body. It was very informative and I felt like for the first time, she shared information I had no idea was possible. Dr. Hsu -is seriously incredible! She was super friendly, informative and professional. It was really cool to hear an Optometrist share this new technology with me! From there, we went back to the actual exam room. This is where they have you read the letters off the projected screen on the wall. This was pretty straight forward, until Dr. Hsu started making the final adjustment on my prescription and asking if image 1 or image 2 looks more clear---This for me has ALWAYS seemed like a test that I was failing because the images looked for the most part the SAME---UNTIL NOW!!!!!! Again, the Doctor had new updated equipment where I could see a noticeable difference in image 1 or image 2 or image 3. Who knows maybe I am the only one who had felt that way at the eye doctor before, but for me after going to at least 15 different eye doctors over the 20+ years, Dr. Hsu has by far been the BEST! I was really impressed! My prescription came out perfect and I can see better and more precise, than I have in years! I would highly recommend Dr. Hsu, Private Eyes Optometry and her staff for anyone looking for a new Optometrist! They are truly incredible!! read more
