Thanks to the team at Pro Audio who got my subs together. I came in because the subs i had started making a humming noise. When the tech looked at the wiring the previous person had done he asked who did it because it was causing the amp to burn up. It was so hot to the touch. Hw suggested two packages for me to either replace the wiring and then keep the subs and amp or replace everything. I chose to replace everything and have him rewire. I dropped the car off around 12:30 and picked up my car by 5:30. I was able to keep the subs and amps to install in another car so that was also a plus. I will definitely come back here to bring my moms car to get her remote start installed. read more

Hello I just took my car to Pro audio to get a radio that I ordered off line and I've never had a problem. They charge me almost $300 to put my radio in , when I'm driving I keep hearing a thump thump in my radio so I take my radio back the next morning and they don't wanna give me a refund if you don't want to waste money do not go to this place. I recently blew my amp and stopped in to pick up a replacement. The older gentleman went out to my vehicle to see my setup and suggested I replace my Rockford Fosgate with a JL rated with 100 more watts (500 total) to match my JL subwoofer. He matched the online price and I was out the door in less than 10 mins. I get home and install the amp...zero sound from my sub! I check everything and it look good. I decided to check the sub to see if it might have blown...and I was correct in my assumption. I had an old sub in the garage so I figured I'd use it until I purchased a new subwoofer online. No sound from the temporary sub either! I check everything again and it was fine. A week later, I stop by Pro Audio to get an estimate on finding the issue. One of the staff told me he'd take a look and let me know. As soon as he looked at the amp, he said, "you're good." I'm like, NO WAY! He responded, your gain was turned off! It's a rookie mistake, but I'm used to Rockford Fosgate amps. I asked how much, and he said, don't worry about it. Again, I was in and out within 10 minutes. A few months ago I bought a JL Audio sub had them install it in my 2017 Honda Civic Si. The sub sounds amazing. Install was great they put in a controller for the sub volume looks like it was supposed to be there. Only issue (my fault) was I didn't think of putting in a kill switch so my battery died once. Going to have these gents hook up a kill switch I bought. Update: looks amazing! Guys at the shop did me a solid. read more

Been going here for years for sub installs. Most recently had them replace factory's 4 door speakers and added a 5ch amp with subwoofer. Install took all day and after listening to audio was very disappointed. Hum noise heard during driving, speakers crackled, and sub was distorted. Took back in to get fixed but said they could install a $600 EQ but never wanted to hear the audio or fix their mistake. Took to another audio shop and found out the 4 channels were turned into 2, lost all fade, factory chime was gone for backup sensors, hum was due to grounding issue, and wiring had to be completely replaced due to bad splice and terminations. Would NOT recommend store other than short easy installs. Not equipped for more complex installations. read more

Initially, I walked in with the intentions of changing out my amps and speakers but, Billy, was honest enough to advise me that the amps would improve the sound of my door speakers - so they didn't necessarily need to be replaced. Most shops would stir you towards purchasing their products. Overall, they did a fantastic job with the amplifier swap and tuned my audio system perfectly. read more

Please think twice and don't waste your time and hard earned money going to this u professional hole in the wall. They just want your cash and they don't hold up their end of the bargain. I simply wanted to add a sub to my Yukon to round out the sound by adding lows to my system. How hard could this be I said to myself having done installations in all of my cars before. So I spent $500+ on one sub, box, amp and wires. The equipment wasn't bad but their install, as other reviews accurately state, is a mature at best. The sub can barely be heard over my factory speakers. I drive off and as I'm driving I hear noise in the sub. It simply sounds like junk and vocals coming through the sub. Not only that, when I accelerate I get bass from the sub. This noise bass is louder than it is when the music is playing. I take my truck back and they adjust the amp and try to tell me that the $500+ I just spent wasn't enough and that to get a better sound I would need to spend more money. Then the guy Billy, I don't think this is his real name, insulted my intelligence by trying to explain their poor installation work to me. I am going to another shop in the morning to get them to rip this crap out and redo it the right way. Money lost I guess!!! You have been warned!!! Just keep driving or your story could be longer than mine!!! Update 5-1-2018: After getting fed up with the sound coming from the botched installation job that Pro Audio performed I decided to take a look at what they had done and fix it myself. It was just as I suspected, an amateur job at best. They tied the Hi-Low Line out converter to a speaker in my rear door that is made for voice!!!! This SUV has a subwoofer and amplifier built in from the factor. Once I reversed their amateur install job and tapped into the wires that lead to the sub my system came alive and is now living up to its full potential. I started to go back to the shop to show them how to do the install the right way for a Yukon but decided not to do so. I'm sure that they will read this review and thus this update. Again, don't waste your money going to this place. They won't do a good job. The reviews that you read are real people, please don't think that you will be the exception. Please, read the reviews before hiring someone to do subpar work for your hard earned cash. I have gone to this place multiple times before and even sent people in my family to them. This will never happen again!!! Had an horrible experience with this company Pro Audio Dist. Inc on 2415 Crain Highway Waldorf MD 20601. I brought Honda kit for my 2010 and was sold the wrong kit for my car. When I went to return the kit I was told I could only receive an credit with the company. I was also told that it is in writing on my receipt which it is not. After a few exchanges with the guy behind the counter he tells me to get the duck out the store. I called the police and was told by the police that it was a civil matter. The kit only cost $49.00 and is not worth a civil matter. The stores has poor customer service and are also very unprofessional. read more

My OEM Ford radio sound knob created crackling, jumping from quiet to extremely loud. Purchased a replacement unit online but due to the cold weather, I had not installed the unit for 3 weeks. This Saturday, I decided to take the car to installation shops locally. This shop had very reasonable prices and could do the work that day! The installers were very professional and fast. I was all done after one & half hours installing a video radio, rear backup camera, and microphone. Tech went over everything with me of the location of components and general operations!! I had these guys put a relatively simple system in my truck (two subs, four speakers, head unit) and it sounded great! The install went quicker than expected, they were more than willing to work on price, and when I asked for another small change to the install, they did so on the spot with no extra charge. I was considering installing a new head unit in my 2007 Ford Sport Trac. After researching a few units on line, I decided to check out a local store and see the unit up close. Mohammed said he would match the price and install the unit for what I thought was a fair price.We haggled a little on price, which I enjoy. It also came with a 3 year warranty. I elected to go with the recommended, Kenwood DDX395 and let these guys install it. It looked good and worked well for 2 days. I happened to be driving near the store when the unit failed. I pulled in, they confirmed the faliure and replaced the unit with a new one. Mohammed was pleasant and professional. Ahmad did a great job on the installation and reinstallation. Overall I am happy with the service and if the product continues to perform, I will be more then satisfied. If dosen't, I feel like these guys will be there to correct any problems. read more

Had found an alpine head unit cheap on eBay. Went into pro audio to see about an install and they had the same head unit. He beat the price and got all the parts for my dash. The head unit almost looks factory installed. They warranty their work and I'm completely satisfied. I have had botched stereos installed at best buy. This place did excellent work. read more

I paid way to much to have a stereo installed in my 38 chevy at this dive just to have it stop working 3 months after the fact. Went today to let them fix it and they wanted to charge me 40 bucks to figure it out. You shouldn't treat the public like that especially the military. I had a light bar that I needed installed. I purchased a kit from Rough Country that came with the bracket, wiring harness, and rocker switch. This thing was plug and play except for zip-tying the wires and fishing the rocker switch wire through the firewall. The guy at the shop says that it will be $180 bucks. I told him I would be back in a week. When I came back he told me that the job was gonna take three hours and it would be $250 bucks. There was no fabrication and he didn't even have to lift the truck for anything. The light bar was going in the front bumper slot. I told him to forget it and I took it down the street to another shop and they installed it within an hour for $110 dollars. I abhor shady business practices and I especially don't like being lied to. The day I walked to in to have the equipment installed there were no other customers at the shop and with good reason. They're simply not honest. I would recommend using another shop before giving these guys your business. read more
