Feels like they are paid on commission. Super expensive and when some of their work failed they wouldn't even return my calls to fix it.

I brought my 4runner in a few days ago for a failed fuel regulator which was causing gas to dump directly onto the engine. We were waiting on a part to come in and a simple drop in communication meant that I would be left without a vehicle over a 3 day holiday weekend. A weekend in which I had a time sensitive job to complete with the truck. After explaining my situation and the importance of needing a vehicle for the job, they told me to come in and grab a loaner until mine was fixed. Upon arrival, I was greeted with the fact that they had gone to the mechanic to have them stop in their tracks and replace the part! I had been so worried about being able to get this job complete, but I'm beyond grateful that they heard me and did everything they could to make the situation right. There are hundreds of auto shops in the area, but Alex, Anthony and the team at Pro Auto genuinely care about the customer experience. I could save a few bucks by doing a lot of the work myself, but these guys make it so easy to be a customer and that's why I come back. read more

Beware!! They will be extremely friendly and helpful over the phone and at the front desk when you arrive and then completely go back on all of the helpful things they claimed they could do for you once you sign the paper giving them permission to work on your car. I literally had them take my car off the lift and towed it 17 miles away to an actual business because they tried to scam me! They wouldn't let me leave without 4 tires when I only asked for 1. Never called me to give me tire options, or to ask what I wanted to do because they "didn't have my number" (even though I gave it to the girl at front desk twice). Once I called, Alex Laughed at me and told me no when I asked if I could take my rim to discount down the street and get a tire put on it to get me home even though the girl at the front desk said I could do exactly that if it couldn't be repaired. They just emailed me a bill and tried to charge me $110 just for mounting tires. Won't be back, waste of time. I got better tires for less money elsewhere and didn't even get charged for mounting. read more

Worse customer service ever! It's taken me a few weeks to write because I have been so angry and seeking legal counsel. I took my car in for a simple oil change and after picking up my car my brakes squeaked, and fluid was leaking. All of these problems were not there before. Of course I complained and the owner said it was not his fault and he was not in the business to lose money. Yet while I was there he paid a $700 bill for a customer who also complained. That place is a place where you should take your car if you want it broken even more and want to throw money away One star simply because you have to give at least one star read more

I purchased a used car in January, and have had to have a few repairs on it. Pro Auto Care has been helpful in letting me know exactly what needs to be worked on and what order I should take care of the problems. The service is friendly. The only complaint I have is timing - my first trip there, they told me it'd be about an hour, and 2 hours later, I was still sitting in the waiting room. The second time I visited, I let them know that I truly could not wait longer than an hour and they were able to get me in and out (for headlights) within 45 minutes. read more

Don't do this to yourself!! My car is still there and they broke more than they fixed! Much like others who have reviewed this place, my lack of knowledge cost me dearly and to the exact same dollar amount as Julia who recently posted her 1 star review. I was told it would take a day......3 days later my husband goes to pick up the car and oh it's not ready.....for hours. And oh this hose just busted.....and oh now your window no longer works. The guy actually said it was our fault for having an old car with miles on it! All I know is that it was driving fine and we took it in to get checked because of a light that came on. Now we are out a large sum and have busted hoses and windows. I can do bad by myself. The car should at least be as good as it was before. I can't believe they do business like this! OK we have a 1998 mercury mountainer. The Ford dealership has given us the run around for a very long time regarding issues with our vehicle. Granted it is old but we are also the original owners. Took it into pro Auto repair and Alex and Mike were able to identify and quickly repair the problem. And I felt like they cared about me and my vehicle as if it was there own. First, I drop my car off at 11 am, just for a diagnosis....I have to call them at 5:55pm to see what's going on, let alone to find out they had not even looked at it. Next, they did not inform me they were closed the next day. So I had to call back about 48 hours later, they are just looking at it and quote me $790. I call my normal shop and the exact same work is $460. I was having a terrible morning because my brother was found to have two tumors in his brain...absolutely could care less. These people are awful. They will take your car, not care about you, and call you back when it pleases them....and charge you double for the exact same work. Stay away read more

I have an 2004 Dodge Dakota. After noting that my dealer repair estimate seemed very high, I decided to seek out a second opinion. I have had two major repairs done by Pro Auto Care and am extremely satisfied. In the first instance their diagnosis about noisy ball joints differed from the dealer, with a net savings to me of about $700. After 10,000 miles on that repair I am quite sure that they were correct. In the second instance they replaced the clutch, throw-out bearing and other clutch related stuff. It was expensive, but the truck is back on the road and running great. It's one thing to do an oil change - it's a whole other thing to take on the serious work these guys have with no defects. I am quite pleased and would recommend them without reservation. read more

Highly recommend. I've been going to Pro Auto Care on and off over the last 20 years because when i find a service adviser i like and trust i keep going back. Despite the fact that advisers come and go i keep coming back to Pro Auto Care. There's a reason why they are so highly rated and have been in business so long! Recently my '07 Tahoe had issues going into "reduced engine power" mode and would barely drive. They fixed the issue faster and for less than the dealer. I'm grateful to Pro Auto Care and hope they keep doing what they're doing for a long time! read more

I have a 2005 Subaru Outback that has $125,000 miles on it. For the past several months it has been not holding a battery charge. If I leave it more than 24 hours it has to be jump started. I went to Pro Auto Care because of a referral. These guys were amazing. In a short period of time we figured out that it was an issue with the radio draining my battery. Dave, the manager was very upfront with all of my options regarding cost. He then went out of his way and found a refurbished radio for $175 which was almost $600 of savings!!! In addition to that they gave a very thorough overview of other issues with the car. They operated at the highest level of customer service and integrity. I will not go anywhere else in Denver--they were amazing!!! read more

I will NEVER be returning to this shop again - can't wait to get our car back. I drove my girlfriend's VW Passat here 6 days ago for a very straightforward clutch repair job - something they said they could do. We dropped it off on a Thursday and explained the issues, and they said they would call us to let us know their diagnosis and quote. We call at the end of the day and they say they will have more information for us Friday morning. Friday afternoon rolls around and eventually passes to Monday morning - STILL NOTHING. I have to stop, IN PERSON, to get an update. They tell me they think they fixed it, but now the car won't start to road test it. Bullshit - there were ZERO issues of the vehicle starting before I brought it in. I refuse to believe it is coincidence. So on top of the diagnosis fee, they have now caused and identified an entirely separate issue running the bill up higher. At this point I am just wanting to get the vehicle back so I can take it to another shop. In short: if you want a shop that communicates with you on a timely basis (we've had our car here for almost a WEEK! and ZERO phone calls), go somewhere else. If you want a shop that doesn't give you mysterious new symptoms when you bring it in - go somewhere else. read more

3,500 miles out on a long road trip, I needed to repair my rear wheel hub to avoid possible catastrophe. A friend in Denver recommended Pro Auto, so I phoned Anthony on the drive from Colorado Springs, pulled off the freeway and had my car diagnosed and left it off, while having a good courtesy car to drive. They replaced the hub, rotated the tires, did all of the safety checks and oil change, and next day we were as good as new. Throughout the experience, Anthony and the staff were friendly and helpful. read more

I went in about a week ago at this point and I was in complete disbelief at how much these guys were going to charge me. I needed to get my car diagnosed because it had been making this weird rattling sound towards the front of the car for about a week. I dropped it off with them in the morning as soon as they opened and it took them nearly all day to get back to me and tell me some bull crap response. They didn't know exactly what the problem was but they were sure it was some part in the engine so I was going to need to buy a whole new engine!?!? First of all, you can't even tell me what the exact problem is but Im going to have to drop $10k on a whole new engine? That being said they tried looking up to see if there were any recalls on the engine for my 2015 Kia Sportage but because I am at 130K miles they said the warranty didn't work because it only worked for cars 120K and below. On top of that, one of the light bulbs on my front headlight blew and they estimated that it would cost $212 do get it replaced. That was without the labor of putting it in. A week later I decided to get a second opinion on what the problem could really be since I got such a bland answer at Pro Auto Care and took it to a Kia dealership. Turns out that there is a recall on the motor for my 2015 Kia and comes with a LIFETIME warranty on the engine no matter the miles. So in other words I'm getting a WHOLE ENGINE FOR FREE. I even asked how much putting in the bulb that blew out would be and they said $75.00 and that's WITH labor. Are you kidding me and Pro Auto Care wanted to charge me $212!? I am more than glad that I decided to take it else where and avoided relying on the recommendations from these guys alone. They are trying to rob you, and if you look like you might not even know about cars thats how they get you. Unbelievable... I was just in complete awe. They may act like they are trying to help you but they are not. Business is business to them, period. read more

I went for a quote on my vehicle. They said it would cost me $1100 to fix the heat in my car. I spent two winters freezing my buns cause I couldn't afford that. Met a home mechanic through a friend- $18 and literally 5 minutes of his time and I have heat! WHAT A RIP OFF. Mechanic shops like this are shameful. In response to Al's reply- it was not a full vehicle inspection. All I needed was my heater fixed so my daughter and I wouldn't freeze. 25 years is a long time of taking advantage of people I give you that. I first noticed that it was very clean for being an auto shop. After everything was taken care of Manny who works there was great at taking the time to explain what they did on my car, and what needed to be done. I have been a customer of Pro Auto Care (PAC) for nearly two years. One afternoon my wife heard about PAC through a Tom Martino radio broadcast. Always taking my vehicle to the respective dealership with confidence of "hands on" experience and familiarity with the make and model is what I trusted . I mentioned to my wife the previous day that my car was leaking fluid. My thought was to only have someone that "knows" your car work on it. Two weeks later things escalated and I could not get my car to the dealership for (2) weeks. I needed immediate assistance. I was skeptical because of no knowledge of PAC but I am glad the decision was made to experience Pro Auto Care. My wife also mentioned that they have shuttle service which would be beneficial if we had to leave either of our cars. We decided to drive by and we noticed several makes and models, a nice facility, and professional environment. I got the number off of the door and called them soon after. I was received with professionalism before I had personal contact with any associate. Our phone conversation(s) were clear and concise about what was to be accomplished and honesty was apparent. Making sure you understand what is needed and what can be done seems to be a very firm priority with this company. I have since referred family and friends to PAC. Any unwarranted automotive issues inspected through PAC will be addressed accordingly along with monitory maintenance. I will say that some fixes are not cheap and they are not a discount repair establishment. What they are is an insightful, informative, responsible, and friendly group of people that will remember your name and make sure you leave with a safe and reliable relationship and vehicle. read more

Wonderful! I needed a lot of work done on my Civic and didn't have a regular shop I go to yet. After looking around online I found Pro Auto very close to where I live and with good reviews so I figured I would give it a shot. I am so glad I did. EVERY interaction I have had with their employees has been amazing. They are so kind, welcoming and really seemed to want me to know and understand everything happening to my car. These guys are so great! I brought a truck to them I am buying so they could check it out for me. They found several issues with it. I took the inspection back to the dealer and he replaced all the brakes pads, rotors, the struts and fixed a vacuum leak on the truck. They saved me a ton of money. You cannot find a more honest, caring place to take your vehicle. I wish I could give them a higher rating than just five starts because they definitely deserve all the accolades. I also own a garage door company and I bring all my service trucks to these guys. We are pretty hard on the service trucks and they always keep them running in great condition. Also, this is a family owned business and the owner is very involved with the day to day activity there. They take alot of pride in what they do. Their shop is always very clean, all the mechanics there are very professional and knowledgable. I'm impressed every time I have an interaction with these Pro's. If your reading this review, do yourself a favor and bring your vehicle into them you will be really happy you did! read more

I had lost my mechanic and was desperately trying to find a new one when my boss recommended Adam at Pro Auto Care. It was a pleasure to have Adam answer the phone and listen patiently to my "non mechanical" description of my car's issues. I got my car in right away and he replaced my O2 sensors. This is not an honest place. Do not trust these people with your car. They "mistakenly" had my car towed and ended up costing me thousands of dollars. No help or remediation from them regarding their own mistake. I made arrangements with Anthony to hold the car. Instead, they had the car towed 3 days later, NOT 2 months later - it took me 2 months to learn of their mistake. I was never contacted, and when I contacted the shop, they thought the car was still in their lot. The owner is a crook and liar. read more

WORST AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE ! STEER FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE ! (This is long and detailed, please skip to the bottom for my conclusion if you don't feel like reading the whole thing.) I currently own over 5 vehicles that I use for work and recreational use so I regularly have 1 or more vehicle in the shop for some kind of maintenance or repair. I started doing business with this shop only because of a technician I knew and trusted began working there. The first and second visit went ok, however in hindsight I was already noticing some suspicious behavior in the service writer trying to "up-sell" jobs that were absolutely not needed and later confirmed so by 2 different reputable shops in town. I politely declined the jobs and after more conflicting information I received from the service writer vs. what I am being told by reputable shops and the actual technician working on my vehicle, I started working with a different service writer just so I could continue working with the technician I knew and trusted. A couple more visits and I thought things were going a little better, that is until I had a vehicle in for a scheduled 4-wheel alignment. I have had an alignment done on all of our vehicles at least twice a year for about 3 years now. Well, I pick up my truck from just getting aligned and all seems good. I'm driving down the road and I hit a small pot hole that I actually drive over nearly everyday on my way to and from work and all of a sudden my steering wheel is off to the right about 45 degrees!!! I am shocked, I drive over this pothole nearly everyday multiple times a day and this is the first time in the 5 years I have been living at my current home that this has ever happened! I figure no big deal something came loose or maybe even something wasn't tightened down all the way or something like that. I reschedule an appointment to get it fixed and they realign it and advise me that nothing is bent or damaged. I go to pick up my truck and guess what??? They are charging me for another 4-wheel alignment, even though I had put less that 20 miles on my truck and it happened on my way home! WOW! I calmly explain that I think there might have been a mistake or maybe the bolts did not get sufficiently tightened, (keep in mind I worked in a GM dealership for 6 years and graduated with a 4.0 GPA in the Automotive college I attended) and the service writer begins to belittle me and argue with me and absolutely not acknowledge anything I suggest. All this without even speaking with a manager or even the technician that performed the work. She didn't even write me up to begin with! I ask them to talk with the technician and call me back and I leave. I spoke with the technician that did the alignment and even he acknowledges that he may have made a mistake or something may have slipped as he has actually witnessed before and that what I suggested may have occurred. People make mistakes, we all do. Him and I are perfectly civil and in understanding but here's this service writer that didn't even write me up or know anything about the specific job that is treating me like I'm an idiot and they are immune from accident. Geez! A couple weeks go by and I still have not gotten any call from anyone at the shop. I call back and speak with the original service writer I started with to try and resolve things and he is treating me rude right off the bat, telling me "We don't want your business" all while I am calling back to get some resolution. What ever happened to CUSTOMER SERVICE?!?! Another few days go by and I am still trying to resolve this issue so I can continue to work with the technician I know and trust that works there, so I speak with the technician personally and also call the manger. He tells me that he will speak with the technician and writer and call me back..... It has been over a month and no call back. At this point I call a friend that I referred to them to warn him and ironically he already ceased all business with them for a far more serious issue (whole other story). LESSON LEARNED: This is a shop that hides behind its paid "sponsors". This is NOT a shop that relies on customer service and quality for repeat business. They are one of those corporations that rely on heavy advertising, they will fill your email and mailbox with gimmick "coupons" and other advertising just to get you and random customers in that they have not yet ripped off. There are other good reviews here for this shop but just wait until something gets a little complicated or you get a second opinion and you may very well be shocked like I am. CONSUMERS BEWARE! I am writing this review on behalf of my Grandparents. My Grandfather took his car in--they diagnosed the issue and quoted him at $990. My Grandfather then took his car to the Infiniti dealership -- where they found the same issue and charged him $165 for parts and labor. I am disgusted to think they were going to charge my grandfather that much. Shame on you for trying to take advantage of my grandfather. Stay away from here. RIP OFF. read more

Short summary...if you are even considering taking your car somewhere else...stop...turn around and bring it to the REAL good guys at Pro Auto Care. Honest, reliable and highly qualified mechanics are as hard to find as snow in Florida and I'm so grateful that we found this place...accidentally, but we are now customers for life! Without going into all the boring details...our car (Acura) broke down over the weekend and another shop quoted a $1400 repair (ouch!) to replace the air compressor. I decided to get a second opinion, and on the way to a different mechanic my navigation (probably intentionally) took me to Pro Auto Care. After speaking with the shop manager I was quoted $1200 for the same job and I left the car with them overnight to go ahead with the repairs. The next day he called me to tell me that they found out that a simple relay was causing the problem, and my total bill came out to $260!!!!! I could not believe my ears! I was ready to pay the 1200 and I feel that most other shops would not go out of their way to recommend a LESS expensive repair to the customer. From my experience most shops would just do the job and take my money, or recommend something that costs more. I was so impressed with their honesty, quality of repairs and unparalleled customer service!! The communication was excellent and they even gave me a complimentary loaner for the day since my wife and I both had to work! This was a truly incredible experience and I can't express my gratitude enough to the staff at Pro Auto. We will be bringing our vehicles there from now on and I'm recommending this place to all my friends!! Hope you make the right choice as well! read more

Unfortunately, my experience starts and stops with customer service, and I didn't get a chance to have my car assessed for the trouble I am having. I researched which auto repair shop got the best reviews in Denver because good customer service and knowledgeable mechanics are very important to me. So, the drive from the DIA area of Denver to this shop was not an issue, since the shop had an excellent review, overall, online. It's always worth a drive if the service is excellent. When I made the appointment, I let them know I needed a loaner car, and that if one was not available for sure, to let me know, so I could reschedule. I had appointments scheduled from Broomfield to downtown Denver that day, and had to have a car. I was assured there would be a loaner available, and was also told they would call me the night before to confirm. I got no call the night before, and they were closed when I got off work. I got there early in the morning, and checked in. I asked if a loaner car was available and was told, "that should be no problem." A little later, I was told they didn't have any, but Enterprise Car Rental was just down the street--they have a contract with them and would pay to get me a loaner car for the day. So, I waited for someone to take me to Enterprise. By this time, I was concerned I would be late for my first appointment, but remained patient. We got to Enterprise and the employee met us at the door stating, "I just got the call. We don't have anything." So, I was taken back to the shop, where by this time it was 7:40. You cannot get to Broomfield from S. Dahlia St in 20 minutes, in morning rush traffic.... I was told "Sorry about that..." I took my keys and left. I wasted my time, and drove an extra 45+ miles out of my way that day. This company is not dependable, in my opinion. I took a chance, based on reviews, and trusted them. 4 people were inconvenienced unnecessarily this day, due to this poor customer service. You have lost a potential customer (and several others, as they are also looking for a great auto service company). I should have been called the night before, and feel that Pro Care needs to be more diligent in planning, organizing and communicating, to avoid such poor customer service. read more

Someone did bunk work on my car and these guys fit me in immediately, fixed what they did wrong, and warrantied their work to boot. Its not the cheapest but its on par with almost anywhere else. I 100% recommend them for their work AND their customer service, everyone has been so friendly and understanding. read more

They fixed a problem four other mechanics could not find. Only downside was they came up with 2k in work that the next mechanic didn't notice (that they told me anyone opening the hood would). They fixed the problem, I didn't have them fix any of their suggestions so overall I was happy. I'm still on the fence as to whether the work had to be done or not as I was selling the vehicle and the new owner had it checked out by their mechanic who I'm sure would have spotted any big deals but didn't....so one of them isnt great...if only I knew who. read more

I've taken my 2001 Nissan Pathfinder to Pro Auto Care for the past 5 years for both maintenance (15/30/60K interval maintenance, etc) and significant repairs (such as replacement of emission control electronics and struts/shocks). Once, I decided to stay and wait for my car in their waiting room. I was there for about 2 hours (and still productive, thanks to their free WiFi!). During the course of that stay, I overheard the staff at Pro advise a number of customers on the work that they were recommending for their cars. I can honestly say I was very impressed with the recommendations that the Pro staff made. They were straight-forward and honest about what they felt needed to be done to the vehicles, and provided plain-language descriptions of the work and why they recommend it. They were also willing to respect the customer's budget constraints, and, unlike my experience with the Nissan dealers around Denver, Pro did not attempt to sell me or the other customers on unneeded extras. read more

This is not an honest business. My lack of auto knowledge was completely taken advantage of when I took my car here. Long story short I was told my car could be fixed for $1500. I paid the money and couldn't even drive it home that day. I got it towed back to the shop (on my dime) and was then told "we were wrong, it will actually cost $3000 more to fix your car." At this point I realized I needed to take my car elsewhere. I was offered NO refund on the money I spent and the staff started dodging my calls when I tried to get answers.
