BUYER BEWARE! I have used Pro Auto Care in the past and from what I can tell, with previous managerial staff, they appeared to offer a fair and honest service. However, with my most recent visit, I can't say that is the case anymore. We turned over our trusted vehicle for service as it appeared to have battery issues from intermittent starts. We would receive a call with it needing a new battery and there was other things which needed attention. So a $311.90 battery replacement would tally a bill with just over $2000!!! And to their credit, the vehicle needed other things such as the following: (prices include parts & labor) 1. drive belt $108.88 2. wheel alignment $99.00 3. sway bar links $327.45 4. brake fluid flush $129.22 5. replace air filer $23.57 *6. rear shocks $945.20 *****Totaling: $2,202.73**** A diagnostic of $129.95 was also included. This was the only discount they were willing to waive on the total bill amount. In the past with previous management, I was allowed to have much more deducted from a total bill of that much (i.e. veterans discount, coupons, etc.) I feel, like many situations with car repairs, many would have acquiesced and just had the work done to prevent having searching again. I, however, thought the quoted price was exorbitant and would reach out to another auto service center to fact check the quoted prices. I found most of the quoted prices were comparable with Pro Auto Care but Pro Auto Care was indeed on the upper or higher end of the quotes. The repair quote for the shocks is what shocked me (no pun intended)! Pro Auto Care's quote of almost $1000 was much, much higher than the comparative service center. It was over $350 higher in fact. When asked about this, the service representative stated it involves much work and the comparison wasn't probably apples to apples such as workmanship warranty. Ok?!?! With skepticism and reluctance and time pressure, I decided to let Pro Auto Care proceed with the repairs WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE "LEAKING" SHOCKS. I would make an appointment that same day with the other auto service center and about three weeks later, I would have the other auto service center to inspect these same "leaking" shocks and you may have guessed it....nothing wrong with them! So in retrospect, I saved literally a $1200 in repairs with a rash decision to comparison shop. Thanks to my still small voice. Lesson: It pays comparison shop to keep others honest and to not make haste decisions for auto repairs...even if you trusted that same auto repair shop in the past! Things change and not all people have compassion or most importantly integrity. It also pays to listen to that still small voice. When the representative refused to give me any discount on such an expensive bill with the exception of the $129.95 diagnostic which any auto service who look to earn your business would do, I knew something was amiss. I am the type of person that provide kudos when deserved and also criticism when deserved. Therefore, I can't in good conscience and integrity leave a "good" review for this auto service company. I would NOT recommend Pro Auto Care and will cease to take our vehicles to this auto repair center because trust has been breached. read more

I took my '98 Honda Civic in for a timing belt change. I had noticed that my car's suspension in the rear was poor but didn't mention it to them. They discovered that I had worn out rear end bushings, did a great job and charged a fair price. Manny, their customer service rep, was absolutely out of this world. They loaned me a car and did everything absolutely right. Pro Auto Care is a textbook case study on how to run a business. Professionalism, Great Customer Service, Integrity, a First-Class Waiting Room, Customer Follow-up to make sure everything was done right. Truly exceptional. I live on the Northwest side of Denver so going to Pro Auto Care was literally cross-town, but I looked them up on the Better Business Bureau website and reviews were glowing. I never knew that someone could take an auto repair shop to this level and their repair prices were way below the competition I looked up. I am very glad that I have started to take my truck to Pro Auto Care! I have a 2013 Ram 1500, and after a couple of expensive (and unnecessary) repairs & recalls that were fixed at a dodge/ram dealership, I lost trust in bringing my truck there. I began taking my truck to Pro Auto Care for services, and they have been nothing but trustworthy and great to me! I will be taking my truck and my wife's car here for anything and everything go forward. They have always been very honest with me, never given me any repairs/parts that were not needed and stood by their work. Worst auto repair shop I've ever been to. People are nice on the phone but that's all they have going for them. I was told that doing a test on my car would be free. I didn't want to do a test on my car because I had it hooked up to a computer to do the testing on my own. So the guy insisted that I do their testing because he swore up and down that my testing wasn't entirely accurate. He told me that if what they found wrong with the car was the same thing I told him then the fees would be waived. So I said okay, they did the testing and sure enough everything I told him popped up on there inspection report. When I go to get my car they charge me 70 dollars for one thing I didn't know about (brake flush fluid, which wasn't an urgent necessity). Which is WHY I didn't want to do THEIR testing. Needless to say I would not recommend this place to anyone, nor will I ever return! read more

I have been Into this place and have had a few things done to my car. The shop seemed to be a great place and inviting. My friend recommend me going there that has had many cars worked on. So what do we do when we have good service we tell one of our friends so they can have the same treatment. We'll I did that With the person I sent I but they had a horrible outcome. I have read a lot of many good reviews of this auto repair shop, but in my situation is not the same, probably i had one of the worst experience in my life and it not over yet, because the car still has the check engine light on, they charged me for 1,400. For something besides the original issue. I brought the car to that store because it has a check engine light on, they checked what was the problem and then they told me that issue was a intake boot and cost 500 dollars for a plastic thing and also it has a oil leak, another 900, so we are 1400 and then they came another problem, in that moment i said stop no more let me talk with the manager Randy i tryed to explain what is happening, he told me there no to much i can do just to pay 500 more to get the car fixed or take it as is because the car was dissemble and with the check engine light on. I told randy ok let me call my mechanic and he is going to come to ge the car towed , in the same day i got a text message saying that my car was fixed and can pick up when ever i want to. I went to pickup the car and Anthony said that I owned 500 dollars for the last repair and i said no i didn't agree to make a repair so he get mad and told my wife that we are not allowed to have a BMW because it was to expensive for us and he paid for "last repair " but the car is far to be fixed is doing exactly the same since the beginning and it has the check engine light on... the worst service ever read more

I would recommend you go somewhere else if you want an oil change. It was known that they take at least 3 hours for an oil change even when you make an appointment. Knowing this I left my car there all day while I was at work. I had told them when I dropped the car off and when I paid over the phone before they closed to leave my keys and receipt in the car so I could pick it up after hours. I get there and I noticed my car was parked two inches from their building which I found to be incredibly unnecessary and could have caused damage to my trunk. My key was not left under my mat nor receipt on the passenger seat so I thought they must have forgot to leave it. I had to walk back home and get my spare keys and pick up my vehicle. I noticed the next day that they had shoved my key and receipt in the exhaust pipe. This is not where we discussed putting my key and could have caused more damage to my vehicle driving without knowing it was in there. This is incredibly unprofessional and I will never go back there again. read more

I wish I'd read these reviews before my husband towed in my car here. Once my car was there, and they knew they had me over the rails, they quoted $1100 to fix my water pump. Little do they know I work for an insurance carrier so I had an appraiser review the quote. It should have ACTUALLY come to $500. I just saw he reviews below this to find their extreme overpricing is not uncommon. We've been taking our Hondas to Pro since they opened. That's a total of 3 cars and 2 SUV's now! Not sure if it's growing pains or what, exactly, but I haven't been as trilled with them as I was in the past. The past year or so, there's been a lot of turnover in the front desk people and that seems to have made a difference. Don't get me wrong, they still do good work. I'm just not as trilled with them as I used to be. read more

I always bring my van in for an inspection before every road trip. It gives me some peace of mind knowing that the Pro Auto Care folks are looking out for me. We have been taking our two cars into Pro Auto Care on Dahlia for about a year. We have been very happy with their work. Recently however, they did something quite extraordinary.... I bought my 2007 Subaru in and the discovered I had a head gasket that needed replacing. Since I only had 48,000 miles on the car this should not have happened. So they took it upon themselves to call a Subaru dealer and ask them to find out if Subaru would pay part of it (it was out of warrenty). They then told me I should take it to a Subaru dealer to get it repaired. In doing so, I saved a substancial amount of money and they lost a substancial amount of money. They could easily have just told me I had to have it repaired. I would never have known. Instead, they did the honorable and honest thing. I give them a 5+ rating! read more

This is a tough call. There is no doubt about the competency, honesty and friendliness of Pro Auto Care. The only problem with this establishment is that they don't do a good job of adhering to the schedule they communicate for completion of work. On two occasions over the past month, I have taken my elderly mother's car in for service and both times the shop has missed their completion time by at least a day. On both occasions they have blamed their parts supplier for sending the wrong parts. Once may be a mistake but twice is a trend. If you want your car fixed and don't really have a problem waiting, this may be your shop but I can't continue to use them. read more

I have had two experiences with Pro Auto in 2016, and both experiences have been exceptional. The first time I spent ALOT of money because my 2009 Subaru needed a ton of work. Pro Auto did all the work for a great price and very quickly! They even gave me a few free oil changes. My second experience was equally excellent. I have never reviewed any business (other than restaurants) on Yelp, however, my experiences with Pro Auto were so awesome that I had to jump on and give them the high review they have earned through good service and great prices. read more

Wonderful service ..Dan is absolutely great. They had trouble getting a part for my jeep but were finally able to locate it (no fault of theirs to be sure). Nice to have friendly guys that treat you decent when you have to wait for a part from the dealership and you don't have transportation. My most recent experience with this shop seems to be different. Let's start off by mentioning I have been taking my cars here for several years without incident. The last experience, we took the car in for a brake check and oil change. The service adviser calls (his name is Greg) and says we need to have our front brakes completely rebuilt (pads and all new rotors) and we need new pads and rotors machined on the back brakes at a cost of nearly $1,200. That's crazy talk. I went and picked up the car and took it to another mechanic that one of my friends referred me too. Turns out the front brakes are within tolerance (no repairs required at all) and the back brakes just needed new pads as they were at the end of their serviceable life. The total cost of my ACTUAL needed repairs was $200.00, not the $1,200 quoted. When I called the GM of the store to discuss this, (his name is Manny) he freely admitted the technician notes clearly stated the front brakes were just fine and the back brakes only needed pads. Hmmmmmm.... why the lie then? I guess they know most people just believe what they say and authorize these frivolous repairs. It's too bad they have decided to be "that" kind of shop. Pro Auto Care has lost my business forever (and my referral recommendation). read more

My experience with Pro Auto Care was terrible. In fact, I would say it was the worst automotive service experience that I have ever had. My wife took our car in for an alignment, and they told her the car needed over $2,000 worth of work. At that point, we told them no thank you and took it to a mechanic whom I trust and have worked with in the past. After I dropped off the car with my mechanic, he called and said that whoever I had taken it to didn't even re-tighten the bolts on the front lower control arm and left them loose. This is gross negligence, and I was pretty horrified, particularly since they returned the car like that to my 7.5 month pregnant wife. You really have to question the ethics of a shop that would do something like that. My mechanic was able to repair everything and said the only real damage was on the lower control arm as a result of Pro Auto Car's negligence. The repairs cost less than 1/4 of the cost that Pro Auto Care was wanting to charge. Please do yourself a favor and don't use this negligent and incompetent shop. I wouldn't trust these guys to park my car, much less work on it. read more

I started going to Pro Auto Care when the owner worked out of his own garage. I followed him to one other location before he landed at his current location. I used to think he did great work for a reasonable price and didn't do more than was necessary. I don't use Pro Auto Care any more except for an oil change because they inevitably tell me my car needs more than it does and their prices are significantly overpriced. Most recently I needed a new alternator. Since I knew exactly what the problem was I called Pro Auto for a quote. I got one more quote and decided both were in the same ballpark so I had my car towed to Pro Auto. (I didn't have the car towed to my current mechanic because he is a greater distance from my home.) Pro Auto's initial estimate for the alternator was $420. After they finished the assessment they came up with a $880.00 estimate! Not only did they think I needed a new alternator but new front brakes, a new battery and several replacement hoses/belts.. I then called my current mechanic who said my alternator was still under warranty and that he had checked my front brakes 2 weeks earlier when my car was in for a tune up. I told him about Pro Auto's estimate - he said he was sure I didn't need brakes and probably not a battery either. (Pro Auto Care told me the battery was damaged by the ailing alternator...???###). I then had my car towed to his shop and guess what - instead of paying almost $900.00 I paid him $100 for installation of the new (under warranty) alternator. He recharged my battery and confirmed it didn't need to be replaced. He checked my front brakes and said they were half worn at best. The hoses/ belts recommended by Pro Auto were also only half worn and would be useful for another year! So Pro Auto wanted to over charge for an alternator (according to my mechanic), plus unnecessarily replace my battery, my front brakes, and several hoses... This is NOT the first time that Pro Auto has recommended work that I didn't need...I finally came to the conclusion that Pro Auto could not be trusted to do only the work that is needed to be done. Plus, they absolutely charge more than the average mechanic... I hope this warns people to be very very careful about Pro Auto's estimates! Pay attention to both price and recommended work to be done. read more

This is a nice shop, the staff out front was super friendly. They had comfy chairs and complementary beverages. This was the first time I've had my oil changed in my new mazda 3, so I'm not sure if $105 is a reasonable price for a synthetic oil and air filter change. I do know however, that the $65 cabin filter the technician tried to sell me is a $20 part for my car when I buy it. I imagine shops get discounts. And this was without labor. Although I declined it, this left a bad taste in my mouth, and I will not be going back. The other thing was I walked in and did not have an appointment (my bad I know) and the guy asked me if I had some time. I said yes. I waited two hours. Oil changes take 10 minutes. I feel like I should have been told it would be two hours. I had a good book and did have the time, and I'm the one who didn't make an appointment, so that's not why I gave the bad review. I've made my final visit here after going to them for nearly 8 years. I felt taken care of and that they had quality work. The past several years though, every time I've gone in it's cost me thousands of dollars in repairs. Since I trusted them, I blamed this on the car and myself. This past 4 months alone I believe I've dropped another $4k on random crap that I've never ever had to fix before. After getting a report that I had more things wrong with it, I dreaded bringing it back. They had worked on these issues in the past and I was just not wanting another large bill. So I went to another mechanic who looked at previous work that was done and sent me a picture to show my how bad it was. The transmission pan wasn't sealed properly, was missing a nut and had nuts that weren't properly set. He had to replace the oil pan as well with the same thing. I'm having to spend more money fixing costly repairs I believed had been fixed. These guys had serviced my car for years and now I'm vacillating between thoughts of incompetence or intentional sabotage so I would keep bringing it back. I'm feeling very ashamed to be writing this as I feel like a fool; like I've been taken advantage of for years. I could have paid off my note on the car with what I spent there in repairs the past 3 years and lord only knows the quality of those repairs and work if this other job was any guide. Skip to the end if you do not want the details. I have gone to this shop twice for the same issue. Prior to the second visit I called explaining we were having the same issue as we had about 6 months ago. I was told not to worry because their work was covered for 12 months/12k miles. We drop off and pick up our car same day as we could not get same day resolution to the cause of the issue; and we were told the work order would remain open. I call 14 calendar days later, speak to Chris, and inquire about how long my work order would be open...to find that they already closed it....after WAY TOO MUCH negative dialog between us. He could have said "work orders can be closed/reopened repeatedly but the important part is the warranty of the work and our timely to fix issues related to previous work". Instead, the below occurs. Funny, I gave him my name when I called and the type of car, but he only had the sense to look at open orders versus searching by my name, thus causing immediate irritation by asking me questions like "is it a Toyota echo, could it be under another name, the only jaguar I see is a '98". INTERESTING. After he finds me by searching by the NAME I GAVE HIM AT THE BEGINNING OF THE CALL, I ask how I have the order reopened and how long it will remain open because my schedule is hectic and I want to plan accordingly. He then starts reading notes and quoting warranty information, unbeknownst to me, he sounds like he is talking to me. As he reads, I say "Chris, I am only concerned about the same issue that has resurfaced, not the other items we asked to be looked into". And his response, "I need to read the notes so I know what's going on, give me a second". I am now getting agitated. Chris starts explaining that a used part that they replaced in August is covered for 6 months, while the new parts that were placed in the car were covered for 12. (Completely counter to the information I received prior to taking the car in the second time). So, depending on what they see as the issue it may or may not be covered by their warranty based on timeframe? I ask Chris whether he is saying that I would have an out of pocket expense for the same issue I had 6 months ago and was not fixed. He says "I didn't say that", and then repeats the warranty information and says" the parts did fix the issue, even if only for the 6 months". Then he says, "hold, hold on". When he comes back after approximately 1 min he says "oh, the phones are really busy all of a sudden". He continues to berate me by saying "ma'am, if you let me speak I can get you to understand what I am saying" I ma quite at this point because I KNEW he would just repeat the same stuff...and he did not disappoint! "he used part we put in is only covered for 6 months and that would have been a decision you made for the repairs to be done in August". I tell him I do not want to split hairs about the used part, I am getting very frustrated by our conversation and I need to know if repairs for the issue that should have been corrected in August is going to cause a monetary expense for me now. HE COULD NOT ANSWER THAT WHICH TELLS ME THEY COVER PARTS, NOT LABOR or THEIR WORK. He just kept referring to the parts that supposedly fixed the issue would determine the cost based on the warranty. Funny, but I do not know of any person knowingly allowing service on an issue that could resurface in such a short timeframe and have to be responsible for it's cost AGAIN, and potentially again and again. That makes a guessing game and potentially never addresses the root cause IDIOTIC! I end this conversation by telling them they have lost a customer due to his attitude (as I have left A LOT out) and his inability to give me a straight answer and him making me feel like a s!@# customer. He conflict resolution left A LOT to be desired through his demeaning word choice and attempt to control the conversation versus addressing my concerns. Great experience once again. Chris put in a lot of time working with my car warranty company and ended up getting most of my substantial repairs paid by the warranty company. Based on my prior experience with car warranty companies, I know it was not an easy task. Car runs great now, no more rough and shaky start up. Well... I gave them a 5 star review. That, it turns out, was in haste. They kept my car for 2 weeks to repair the ignition. At the time they said it was because they couldn't replicate the problem. Now I'm really wondering if the additional mileage and the 2 weeks could be accounted for in a different way. I'll never know, of course. My car is wobbling all over the road - I know it needed an alignment but this is much worse than before, even taking potholes into account. Also, my antenna was disconnected, so was my clock. When I asked them to reconnect it they never addressed the antenna and assured me my clock had burned out. Nope, that's not true either. It picked up a short during the 2 weeks it was with them - now it works 2 days on, 2 days off. Finally, let's talk spam. The moment I left they started spamming my account, telling me to review them. Even after I posted the reviews the spam continued. Then they told me I needed to come back for an oil change, even though the oil change was the last thing they did before I left (why was it the last thing? Because even though I asked them to include this service initially they forgot all about it - I had to wait for them to take care of it before I drove away). When I told them they already had changed the oil I got another spam telling me they were monitoring the mileage on my car and I now needed to bring it in again for another oil change. Except for the fact that it's seriously creepy that they're monitoring what I'm doing AND they were 1,000 miles off, great job all around. So no, I'll not be going back to Pro Auto care. It's a shame. They seem very nice to your face. But the proof is in the driving. read more

I spent almost two thousand dollars on repairs to my car with Pro Auto Care and their second brand new power steering pump screams like a tired cat. Their first steering pump would stop working when I was driving (or rather steering). I brought it back and they finally figured out that I was telling the truth and put the second new pump (AKA tired cat) on. I get that parts fail and people make mistakes - but they seem to make a lot of mistakes and / or buy cheap parts. So I would say their customer service is poor, mechanical work is fair (at best), follow up on repairs is OK only if you insist they fix the problem. Why pay for poor to fair work? I would spend your money and time with another shop. read more

The staff were friendly (not patronizing) and exhibited top notch, genuine customer service, to me and everyone who came in while I waited. They even installed a cabin air filter for me for no charge, even though it wasn't included in my voucher. I only gave four stars because I don't know how their normal, non-voucher pricing is, but I am planning to come back to find out! read more

I live nearby so I stopped in to get a headlight bulb changed on my 2011 Prius. They said the bumper would need to be removed and quoted $60. That didn't seem in line with what my manual said. I checked online, watched a few videos, and replaced the bulb myself in 5 minutes, no bumper removal required. Apparently, the older Prius required the bumper removal but 2010 and newer do not. read more
