Brought in my RAV 4 for a transmission fluid change. They quoted me $285. I told them that the fluid had never been changed since new and I was concerned that a high pressure flush might cause slipping and I wanted them to drop the pan and change the filter. I left it there and got a call 2 hours later that if I wanted the filter changed, the price would then be $845!!! To drop and oil pan and change a filter that is easily accessible?! $235 becomes $845??? I will give a second star only for the girls at the counter. They were very professional and pleasant to deal with. I doubt I will ever visit this shop in the future. I ended up just doing it myself. Value and honesty could improve. read more

Talk about getting ripped off! Tires for $1200 without balancing or anything. Pushing the sales. I go to Buckley's Auto on Thompson Road (The old pawn shop). I got top quality tires for $700 + balancing and weights. I have had a lot of other work done and when compared (serpentine belt labor and all $350). Front end...$500. Buckley's will offer dealer parts or other parts to save money. Buckley's does NOT push for sales either. Sorry Pro Automotive... you need to do better. Buckley's even stayed late to fix my sons' car brakes on a weekend as it was the only time my son could go without his car. No extra charge. Helped my son out so much. My husband's Serpentine belt broke on a Saturday. Had the old Jeep Liberty back on a Monday. read more

Flat tire. My second time I been here I went in with my work truck when 3 other places in town told me my truck was to heavy for there lifts. She took it right in and 10 min later she gave me back the nail. The price was even better for such fast service. read more

Morgan (receptionist) and Chris (service advisor) were super helpful, professional and polite. Dan (mechanic) was also super awesome! All employees were very knowledgeable and more importantly, honest with me. I didn't ever feel rushed or talked down to. I was told the game plan ahead of time and all repairs (and pricing) were explained to me before work was started. The shop itself is very clean. Waiting room is neat and tidy. Free Keurig coffee, seltzer, juice boxes, and candy. Bathrooms are also clean, which I feel is an important but often overlooked part of a business. Would recommend, will definitely return if I need more service. read more

What a great place. First- They promptly replied to my question through the Yelp app. The waiting area was so welcoming; awesome coffee area, cold beverages, clean, and friendly staff. There were suggestions for upcoming services and a great Tire health print out. Zero pressure to add more services- just shared information. I almost forgot - the air freshener was a great touch. I don't normally write reviews but this was an experience I wanted to share. My sons car (2004) died while away at college. We had it towed to Pro Automotive in Webster. Morgan was a huge help coordinating receiving the car, getting the necessary tests run and researching my options. Given the age of the car, we decided not to fix it and have it towed back home. Morgan and Chelsea helped me work through getting the unattended tow scheduled and facilitated. Great experience - will go back in the future, once he has a new car. read more

I have been contemplating writing this review but I feel good and bad it's your duty to share your experience so others can make an informed decision. Our families experience has not been good. After having spent thousands of dollars in repairs on two vehicles, still unable to get stickers for cars d/t engine lights. One car just paid off and having to be sold because not willing to give this company anymore of this families money! shame on them. I recently went to proautomotive,webster mass. My car was there 3weeks sitting out front of there lot before they even diagnostics to it. Then they did work on it which took another 3 weeks,for a total of 6weeks before I got it back. Then I brought my car somewhere else to have what they did checked. In doing that I discovered Pro automotive charged me 3 hours labor for something that took them 10 mins. to do.. Also the corner of my windshield was cracked which was not there when I dropped the car off. Which of coarse they didn't do anything about. If I hadn't brought my car to another mechanic and hadn't had new mechanic to check pro automotive work I've would of been charged $388.00 for a $40.00 joc.. That's just wrong. Be aware if you do go there they have disclaimer that says they are not responsible for any damage to Your car while ur car I s there on there property. read more

This establishment it terrible. They tried to charge me $941.32 to change my spark plugs and coils. I looked up the cost of the parts $124. When I told them that they tried saying they could do it for $700. Still not satisfied they then told me they added and extra fee they shouldn't have and now the price is $640. Long story short I bought the part myself and had a neighbor put them in. Pro Automotive still charged me $120 diagnostic fee that should never have been charged. I hope this helps someone else. They are awful. I wouldn't recommend them and would not return EVER! read more

I did not have a good experience. I brought in an oil change coupon for $34.95. I was told I needed a few bulbs. My previous experience with other mechanics is that they change the bulbs and just charge me for the oil change coupon rate. Not this place! It took no more than 5 minutes to change the bulb. They charged me twice the coupon rate for those 2 bulbs..$72.00!! Just beware when you bring in the coupon for an oil change. read more

Had multiple vehicles serviced here off and on over a few years and have had success with all - including a 3 yr old SUV, a 13 yr old Silverado and a 2001 Dodge work/plow truck. They've been able to effectively handle issues with all 3. Older vehicles which require ongoing oversight and sometimes exhibit elusive symptoms; these were always met with success. Recently something as obscure as having a rusted hitch removed from the receiver alongside other work. Knowledgeable, treated fairly, respectfully, and with constant communication throughout each encounter and job. read more

I got new tires from them and the rear camber was way off. They never told me, so when I finaly found out 8000 miles later, my tires are all worn out on the inside rear. I tried countless times for someone to just listen to me as to what happened but they kept saying the tires were a faulty. Then the owner Jason and said he would check my car out and see what he could do. That was at least 6 weeks ago never heard from him so I'm not going back read more

brought them my car to fix a rear axle seal.03 towncar with 200000 miles. 3 hour job took 3 days. they are a napa prefered location.. they started the sales pitch by trying to sell me an oil change trasmission flush and upper and lower ball joints and break fluid before even looking at the car. then charged a 62.55 fee to look at the car that was added to the total bill even after they did some work. the parts they did replace, right axle 170.00 wheel bearing 17.00 axle seal 6.00 2 quarts gear oil 20.00.. they charged me 455.96 for parts that i can buy from napa for 213.00 and they get a price break.. had the whole axle apart and the decided to only change the bearing on 1 side instead of doing the right thing and change both side for 30 mins of labor and 20 bucks . be afraid be very afraid read more

My wife brings her van in to have it checked out, which it is a old van and she wanted to restore it, but first she did and I had talked to the mechanic about doing a compression test first. So 6500.00$ later we go pick up the van and smoking like crazy, Police officers pulls me over and says lot of smoke, where did you get it from, well officer just got it back from Pro Automotive, officer says I would go somewhere else to have your van checked out. So they did a tune up without checking the compression. So then after all this they check the compression and the engine is junk, low compression on one of the pistons. They did apologize,but they wanted the van and would have returned 6500$ but then my wife would not be able to try and see who could get a engine or take 2500.00$ back. So now she is out 4500.00$ I then took it to 5 other mechanics and they were all appalled by there actions. The cost of parts and labor, charging outrageous amounts of money on a brake job, Tune up, Tire rod, all this work would not have been done if they did the compression test first. Took advantage of a woman. Many of us are so discussted that she had no more energy to at least get 4000.00 back. Well now at 4 of my friends have decided that it was time to find another mechanic which I told them there are some really good guys out there. read more

This place is a talent-less pool of friends who got together because no one else would hire them. Do not trust them with your vehicle. I have some car repair knowledge and even I can spot how many mistakes were made from just waiting in line and looking through the window at the garage bay. During my time waiting in line here on three occasions I witnessed 5 angry customers complaining about everything from being overcharged to having to pay money for them to fix there own mistakes. 3 of those customers declared they will never come here again. One customer came in on my last and final visit with repairs that he had done else where to fix things pro supposedly already fixed and the absolutely petty owner refused to pay even though the customer had receipts and proper paperwork. To add to his pettiness the customer was looking for under 200 dollars and now instead of fixing the problem before it got worse the customer left declaring lawyers will be involved. After watching all those angry customers and the owners responses to those (no longer) customers I decided to take a hint and will never take my car there ever again. read more

WATCH OUT THEY WANT YOUR $$$! As a new resident here and female I was in dire need of basic car maintenance. I read the reviews and took a chance. I was taken for a fool. I learned the hard way so please beware. The few times I took my cars in I was always told that something else was wrong with my car. I trusted the reviews and Chris was very convincing with his printouts and picture guides. Finally, I had it when I was told I needed a radiator, timing belt and other services that added up over $800 per vehicle. I decided to seek a second, third and fourth opinion. And thank goodness I followed my gut because I didn't need any of those services. In addition, they are noncompliant with wearing masks and so they were fined. They verbally mistreat the front desk secretary. Go somewhere else they don't deserve your business. Do your research and always seek a second opinion when they tell you after an oil change you need over 3repairs. read more
