The barbers are quite friendly and do a great job. I get a pretty basic beard trim and haircut and I'm always happy. Prices are perhaps a little high ($27 for a cut and beard trim) but maybe that's just the area. Cheaper than other places I've gone. read more

I think the haircut was pretty good and pretty much what I requested. I came at around 4pm and there had to wait a few minutes since they were busy. There were 3 ladies working there and I think they were speaking Vietnamese. The prices went up apparently because it was $16 for a haircut and not $13 like the pictures show. I had such a pleasant experience here. I brought my one year-old in my three-year-old, and the hairstylists were wonderful. This is the first time I had taken both of them and neither of them cried. I used to take them to a kids hair place, but I think the environment of a bunch of screaming kids just made my kids scream more. Nicely decorated and clean barber shop. The barbers are respectful and provide decent haircuts. I did not get a fade as requested; however, the haircut was not terrible. Thought it was good that they still had the $12.00 Special going on for the Haircuts, but they don't tell you that they don't take Credit Cards! I had to go over to the Chevy Chase Bank which was right over there and take out $20.00, plus pay an additional $3.00 fee to pay them. Also, I told the woman what I wanted and she did cut my hair, but when I got home, I found that the right side was a little shorter than the left side. Didn't realize this, but kept wondering why she was cutting the right side so much. When she was done, while sitting in the Barber Chair, it looked fine until I saw it up close when I got home. It wasn't a bad cut, but I'll got to the place over in Springfield Mall the next time I need a Haircut. The only saving grace was that after she was done, gave me a massage on my neck and it felt good. Too bad I can't give this place a 2 1/2 stars for the CC not accepted there. For the price it's as good as you can get. I've been there about a half dozen times now and each time was as great as the one before. In total I think I've had three different girls cut my hair and I've been pleased with each. Highly recommended! Pros: - $13 for a haircut, quick massage, and warm shaving cream on the back of the neck (feels great)! - No turnover with stylists. I've been going for over a year now and there is no turnover. Same half dozen girls working everytime I go. - They take their time. My very simple cut takes a good tweny minutes there. I've been other places where I'm done in five minutes and they've used two or three tools. Here they make sure that everything is precise and they end up using numerous clipper heads and scissors. - They're very good about being told to go shorter. In the past I feel like I've bothered some stylists saying "can you go a little shorter". Here they've got no problem and always say "I thought so, but I wanted to check first. Easier to cut off more than put it back on". Con's: - Only one. No credit cards. Big deal. Carry cash or go to the bank next door. read more

I've been going to Pro Clips Barber since it opened some 10+ years ago and have never once received a bad haircut. I moved to Maryland 5 years ago and still commute to Fairfax for a cheap, quality haircut. The only difference is now Nina cuts my kids' hair too! The staff is practically family to me, and my kids aren't afraid to get their hair cut which is HUGE. The best haircut in the DMV for your money. First visit... Clean, friendly, well equipped. They actually listened and gave me the haircut I wanted - unlike other spots i've been. Recommend. However, I do not recommend the hot shave here. She was aggressive and much too fast. Face ended up very irritated and a little nicked up. Ultimately not very smooth either. If u avoid the shave this place is great. read more

Great service. Had my boys hair cut there. I normally go to Hair Cuttery, but I have been very unhappy there for some time. I count my self lucky that I landed on a great barber for my boys on my first try away from my usual. I noticed right way that they are great with the kids and were handling a pretty unhappy young guy that really didn't want to be there. Decent haircut for the price especially if you like a short cut/buzz, very professional and customer friendly. Barbershop style with your back to the barber and the mirror so you cannot see what they are doing to your hair until they turn you around in the chair kind of scary for first time customers ! also the language barrier can be kind of difficult at times. The barbers are extremely quick and do great work. They have a sign in the window that gives discounts to police and it's hard to beat that it's next to Duck Donuts. OK haircuts, but I never get exactly what I ask for. Understanding English is a problem here. I ask for a #1 on the side around the ears, about a third of the way up. Don't touch the top, and only block and round the back. What do I get? A very high taper, both on the sides and the back, and shortened on the top as well. This place is fantastic. Went in on a Sunday afternoon, they had four stylists cutting hair, and one guy at the register. They took their time (good thing), and cut my hair like I asked. They are extremely thorough and will go over your hair several times to make sure it looks perfect. The straight shave on the back of the neck was awesome, and the neck massage was an added bonus. All for $15? I'll be back for sure. I didn't give five stars just because they are cash only, so just make sure you hit the ATM before you go. I was in town visiting my daughter and her family. I went on Yelp to find a real barber shop. Pro Clips looked good and it was. I expected an old time barber, but there three nice lady barbers. All pleasant and friendly. This was a Saturday around noon. I just beat the growing crowd. The cut cost $13! It was great and deserved a nice tip. This is a new barber shop across from Paul VI High School. The ladies working there are friendly and professional. I took my husband and 2 1/2 yo son there on a Saturday morning and it was not busy. I usually take my son to Cartoon Cuts at FairOaks Mall and I avoid going on a crazy Saturday. Cartoon Cuts costs $16 + tip. At Pro Clips they're running a Grand Opening price of $7.99. Who can beat that? My husband's cut was $9.99. Their regular price for boys 12 yo and under is $11.99 or $12.99, I can't remember. I'm not sure when the Grand Opening prices will last until, but I'll definitely be back. The atmosphere is calm and the ladies take their time. If you're in a rush, let them know! Nina cut my son's hair just the way I asked her to and my husband had Lily. Lily cut his hair just the way he asked and shaved his neck with a straight razor - just the way he likes it.
