His technical approach is unique and demonstrates high-level skill: For medium length on top, he moves away from rote sectioning (holding hair between fingers). Instead, he combs along and against the grain to gauge the natural fall, cuts using a freehand sculpting technique, and thoroughly cross-checks. However, I have a concern about something that may annoy or even offend some of their customers. All of the barbers appear to have Vietnamese heritage. They are all totally fluent in English. But it is fairly common for some of them to engage in conversations entirely in their native language, including laughing, etc. I suspect this is all innocent back and forth among them, but I think it is fair to say that many Americans would consider it a bit rude. It would be unfortunate if this resulted in some customers deciding to go elsewhere. This is offered as constructive criticism and for no other reason.
