Better if you take a day off and visit them during non-peak hours to get all your questions answered and all the time to examine what you want. However, if you're coming here, you probably have done your research already and know what you want. Prices are very competitive especially when they have a promotion going on. I will start with the positive. The staff here are professional and knowledgeable. They have a clean restroom for customers and the prices on firearms cannot be beat. I like the fact that the customers here are law enforcement professionals and most of them are not here buying their first gun so the transactions are straight forward and quick. The negative and it's a big one is the wait times. I allotted myself 3 hours since I had a medical physical but after an hour the customer numbers had only moved by one! I knew it was worthless to wait. To their credit I saw some law enforcement guy trying to jump the line by saying he was on duty and they told him he would have to take a number and wait. I'll be honest the 80 bucks I was saving on the gun might not be worth 3 hours waiting and then coming back to pick it up and waiting again. Employee running front door only lets you in if you ring the buzzer despite he is looking right at you trying to get in. They do not post hours, so if you travel from far away your not getting in for a purchase. They change hours if walk-ins day to day despite them having what you want, you having a LEO letter, etc... This is a warning to Peace Officer's that are trying to buy back their duty weapons. A while back, my agency sold their Sig Saur's to ProForce, and purchased 120 Glocks handguns. I let my Department know I wanted to buy back my Sig Saur. Then I received an email from ProForce, and I replied telling them that I wanted to buy back my old gun. Then on 3/08/2020, I received another email confirming that I wanted to buy my old gun, and I also paid for the purchase of my old gun online on that same date. On 3/11/2020, the gun was supposed to be shipped to a local dealer for me to complete the documentation process. However, ProForce shipped the wrong gun (This gun did not have the same serial number as the gun I had used for the last 15 years). It was shipped back, and I was told that ProForce had shipped my gun to another dealer, and it was in transit. They said they would contact that dealer and have my gun returned to sell to me. I waited patiently. Then on 3/26/2020, I received an email from ProForce telling me that my gun was sold to someone else, and that the buyer had already modified the gun and there was no way I was going to be able to buy that gun back. They offered me $100 for the inconvenience caused by their mistake. I spoke to Matt A., the ProForce rep that was involved in my Departments purchase of 120 Glocks from ProForce, and he initially questioned how well my Department packaged my old gun for return to ProForce, and said "I've seen other Departments putting the wrong gun in the wrong box." I told him I watched my Department box it up with the correct serial number on the box. When I asked him about his company double checking gun serial numbers before shipping guns out, he implied that it was a monumental task to keep track of all of the guns and serial numbers in their warehouse. He also told me that my gun had been mismarked for sale to the public, rather than resale back to me. To top it off, while I was placed on hold during my phone call to Matt A. so ProForce could process my refund, they hung up on me and never returned my call. Instead, I received an emailed copy of the receipt, with an apology from the Admin Assistant at ProForce. The gun that ProForce lost was a gun that I had for the past 15 years, used in various assignments including a specialized task force assignment, made numerous arrests and high risk entries. This was a gun that had meant a lot to me, and had sentimental value. I rarely complain about a lot of things, but this one matter meant a lot to me, and one would think that ProForce being a law enforcement gun dealer would treat guns and the resale of guns to Peace Officer's with a much higher regard. This also shows that their record keeping of firearms is questionable as well. I just felt like I got punched in the gut when I was told that the gun that I was expecting to buy back, my partner for the last 15 years, was gone forever. I truly felt like I had lost my partner. Not only did I lose my partner, but ProForce initially tried to place blame for their mistake on my Department, then came up with a couple excuses to cover for their error. A very bad experience that I wish that no other Officer ever has to go through. By the way, after speaking to other Officer's from my Department that have purchased their old duty weapons, I have heard that there has been an issue with only getting back one magazine, rather than all three mags with their guns. I'm not sure if this is a ProForce issue, or an issue with the local dealer handling the transaction. read more

Pro force is great place to shop for a fire arm if you looking for competitive prices. I was able to purchase my gun at their store for about 150 dollars less than the store I originally intended to buy from. The only down side is the wait time, on average I've waited about an hour to be seen on my most recent visits to the store. Overall I would have given them four stars if I didn't have to wait so long. read more

Bought a handgun here back in June and the gun malfunctioned on me the first time on the shooting range a few weeks later. I attempted to contact customer service here several times to no avail. I was eventually able to reach them, but was rudely told by one of their employees that the faulty gun was not their problem and that I needed to find somewhere else to fix it. I have been coming to ProForce Brea for a handful of years now. I have purchased from another gun store in Orange (which shall go unnamed out of respect), as well as other unnamed stores in Glendale and Los Angeles. From having compared my own experiences and hearing about the experiences of others, I truly believe ProForce outshines the rest in regards to three critical areas to law enforcement/first responders: 1. Quality of Service; 2. Knowledge of Weapons; 3. Availability of Weapons. This store deserves a great review, because they know what it is about... they know it is about making sure you have what you need to defend yourself, your family, and your friends. When you walk into ProForce, you will see an expansive selection of firearms, weapon accessories, etc. that you are able to purchase. With a store local to Los Angeles County, Riverside County, and others, it is awesome to be able to drive to a store within decent range of wherever you live to purchase firearms. If you want it, just talk to a store representative - he/she can definitely get it for you or point you in the right direction. You will be amazed at their selection. AND their prices are cannot be beat. Each store representative has a great knowledge of weapons. They do not just read you the specifications or a technical review of a weapon. If they have shot it or have owned it, they will let you know their personal experience. They do not just want to sell you something - they want to sell you something that will save your life or the lives of others around you. It took me four to five visits to lock in what I wanted to purchase. And every single time, I was educated more and more about the products I was interested in. And lastly, their quality of service leaves everyone else in the dust. Although sometimes you may have to wait a bit before speaking to a store representative, it is worth the wait. Because when it is your turn, he/she will give you all the time in the world to make sure you are treated well and you ultimately get what you are looking for. Whether you give the store a telephone call to inquire about something, or you walk in on any average day, they will treat you like gold. I have been lucky to be helped by various store representatives. I want to give all of them a shout-out, because all of them are awesome, kind, and patient people. But I want to give a special shout-out to Jeremiah, whose patience has been tested by me multiple times, as I have had so many questions. The staff at Pro Force has always treated me great. I have been shopping here since 2006. They have gone through many changes throughout the years. This is the best place hands down to get a Glock (blue line pricing). The can also obtain many hard to find guns. I'd like to see them have a section for folks just picking up guns or getting accessories, it would alleviate some of the congestion that some people dont like. Pros: Excellent customer service with a friendly, knowledgeable staff. They were not intimidating and, as I observed, treated every new and seasoned gun owner with the same, friendly approach. When it was my turn, they were more than helpful and willing to take the time to answer ALL my questions (Gonzo, John, Rockwell, Mikey, to name a few. I wish I could remember the names of three other members, for this review) Include the deals or bargains and my overall experience was awesome. Cons: Is it a "Con" when I have to wait my turn for amazing customer service? They were giving their full and undivided attention to the people who arrived before me. When it was my turn they took their time, didn't rush me or get annoyed or act like I was supposed to know what I was looking for. Recommendation: If time is an issue, try to get there during the week before the rush. If time is not an issue, take a number, enjoy a cup of coffee, listen as they talk to other customers about handguns/rifles/accessories and check out their store. When they call your number, you won't be disappointed. I have returned to Pro Force Law Enforcement many times and purchased additional handguns and accessories. Employee said that there was a 2-3 hour wait because the state says gun stores are only allowed to have one customer in there at a time. I want to start off by saying I DID NOT have an appointment. I purchased a firearm on their website and drove 2 1/2 hours from Bakersfield to pick up my firearm. I arrived at 0755, and at 0800 I was placed on a wait list and was told that it was estimated at that time that I would be seen in about 3 hours. I'm not really sure how that happened since the store opens at 8. Approximately 5 hours later I received my phone call to enter the store. I was assisted by Taylor, or Trevor, sorry sir but I couldn't remember your name. The staff are very friendly and helpful and I wasn't made to feel like I was being rushed out of the store. The prices here are excellent and reasonable for all their products in the store. Even though it's a long drive for me. My advice if you're reading this review, make an appointment. I don't know if that will lower your wait time or not, but 5 hours is a long time. If you don't make an appointment, be prepared to wait a long time. All ProForce staff were moving as fast as humanly possible, and given the current pandemic situation, there is nothing more they could have done. Today is the last time I will ever enter Proforce. I have shopped at the store in Brea for over 15 years. I've spent thousands of dollars here. I waited a half hour for a $20 purchase only to be told they don't carry it anymore. After the person at the front counter said they carried them behind the counter. When asked again about the item he stated that he did not say they were behind the counter but that somebody behind the counter would help me. I was very specific about what I was looking for and anyone who's worked at the store for more than a month would know if they carried the product or not. To make matters worse they're texting system stated I would be help within 5 minutes it wasn't until 30 minutes of waiting and asking a different employee that I was told they don't carry the product any longer and have not for quite some time. It also took over 10 minutes to somebody to answer the front door after myself and another customer had been standing out there ringing the bell. I've waited a long time in the past but today's wait to get in and the fact that I waited 30 minutes for what should have been a very quick transaction only to be told they no longer carry the product was just unacceptable. read more
