I went to Pro Nails by Julie this evening and got a deluxe pedicure. It was super relaxing and I enjoyed every second of it. They did a great job on my nails and even fixed it after I tripped on my way out and messed one up. They were super kind and didn't charge me to fix it either. The inside of the store is very beautiful and clean. They have a bunch of colors to choose from too, so lots of options! I really enjoyed the hot stones and how soft my feet felt after my pedicure. I was really disappointed in my service at this salon. My friend and I had walk in pedicures and my normal go to is a French. Maybe I should've taken the empty salon on the weekend as a sign. I chose a "deluxe" pedicure with gel so you know that cost $45 with an additional $20 for gel and $10 for a French so I'm paying a lot. They were very friendly at first but I think the person was newer because she didn't understand that a French typically has a pink or nude base and I have a messed up nail and need the coverage. When I asked her to do pink her response was "I should've told her in the beginning" and challenged me. She ended up painting a pink base over the white tip in the end and tried to butter me up once she realized I was upset. She also left blue stuff all over my feet? Tried to scrub it off with alcohol over and over to the point it was burning my skin. I don't even know what it was. The white lines were also extremely crooked. Just overall bad quality pedicure. I want to add as well that they are not clean. My friend's technician dropped a tool, my technician picked it up, then immediately used it on my foot. I'm a licensed esthetician, so I know proper sanitation. This is a huge no no. My friend also said it was the roughest pedicure she's ever had. Keep in mind also she was getting a French and her tech knew to do a pink base... pretty common knowledge as I get this same style each time. I went in asking if they do hard gel, they had builder gel so I did that. I was sat and service started very quick! I did share that one of my nails was cracked and needed a little extra care. That nail did break off in the removal, but that's fine I just said we can do all my nails that length. They're all kind of different lengths. I went in with my nails in a squared shape. I wasn't asked what shape I wanted, I think it was assumed because of the shape I came in with. ( No issues with that, just a note for those who do not like to advocate for themselves at the nails salon, you might have to lol. ) If you like hard gel or European manicures, I will say the builder gel is a quite a bit thicker. However, the price was great! It was $60 before tip. The salon very clean with a lot of space and stations. I will definitely come back! Overall, it was a relaxing experience! Nothing hurt. I walked in at 11:30 on a Saturday and was pleased to find I got right in. This salon is much bigger than it appears from the outside, and way nicer! They have a huge selection of colors and it's bright, fresh, and clean inside. I got a pedicure from Anthony and I may have just found my new favorite pedicure service!! He gives THE BEST MASSAGES!! He was worried about too much pressure and kept checking in with me, but it pressure was perfect and felt amazing. I live about a block away from here and will definitely be back! This used to be my favorite salon in south Scottsdale. I'd visit every three weeks for a gel pedicure. Today I walked in at 6:25pm for a quick gel pedicure and was told by the front desk girl that "everyone is already busy" and they "stop accepting walk ins at 6". I work through early evenings and have previously come in at 6:15pm, even as late as 6:30 and been done before they close at 7. I get it, it's nearly closing time. But still disappointing and frustrating. I drove 20 mins out of the way to come here so I went somewhere else down the street and they allowed me to walk in at 6:30 and did a wonderful job. read more

I have a receipt to prove I was there and the service was OK. What I did not like was that I went there to get a professional manicure and pedicure and instead I got a lot of back talk about something I do and even though I did share what I do for a living I felt the nail technician was out of line to think she could talk about something without knowing her audience. Her English was better than most but that's even more astonishing. The quality was OK, and I got the appointment as a walk in but did not appreciate the monologue. I was expecting to get my mani/pedi and have my self care day doing my thing relaxing. However this was not relaxing because I wanted to tell her to shut up but she had a captive audience. read more

I went to this salon for most of the 5 years I lived in Scottsdale. They almost always were able to get me in whenever I would walk into the salon. They have a lot of choices and do a great job. Minh was my regular tech for a long time who owned the salon. The only thing I didn't like was being rushed to choose a color while they were working on my nails already vs. being able to choose the color prior to starting. When you are paying good money to get the mani/pedi, you want to make sure you get what you want. The salon itself was redone a few years ago from the original salon I went to next door. It's big, clean & spacious. Nice equipment. Would recommend if you live in Old Town vs a few of the other salons I tried. This one was the best by far! read more

Moving to AZ from CA in the Spring, I still have yet to find a nail salon I really love. In CA there's a great nail salon on every corner who delivers great work. In Scottsdale, I've found techs rush through services, don't listen and do whatever they want. A girl who I had complimented her nails recommended Pro Nails to me and let me tell you -- pedicure heaven. Anthony was wonderful (as all the reviews state). The massage he gave was phenomenal and he took his time. It was the first service I have had done in Scottsdale that I felt like I got what I paid for. I did the middle package (don't remember the name) and everything turned out perfect. They have a lot of chairs and while there's music, it's not overpowering and the overall vibe is relaxing and on the quieter side, which is my favorite. It's a bit far from my house, but it's worth the drive. If you're on the fence I highly recommend. I saw several girls leave with incredible gel and acrylic nails too. I asked my nail tech if she can do an ombré on my nail and she said yes but she'd have to do a dip. I said ok and she did it and it turned out not to look right. I asked her to fix it and she tried to file off the thick layers of dip and redo it plain white and it looks so thick and uneven. My nails look like they weren't even done by a professional. read more

Amazing customer service! I stopped in on Thursday at around 5 pm and they were able to see me right away and the service was SUPER fast. I had dip on and I got it removed, then got a gel manicure. My only complaints were they were out of a lot of colors, but not their fault and the tech cut my nails a lot shorter than I would have liked, but that's fine - they grow back. Unfortunately, they started peeling the next day, but I went in Saturday and they fully redid them and let me even pick a new color! Updating and removing a star, 1 week later 2 of my gels have peeled off and 3 are chipped. read more

Just moved near this salon and decided to stop in for a pedicure! They happily greeted me and were able to take me as a walk-in right away. The was pleasantly surprised at how big and open the salon was -- as well as tidy and clean. I opted for the deluxe gel pedi! Been here a few times. Those time were really great and I enjoyed the experience. But this last time was not great. My nails turned out nice but the nail techs were really rude to me. I did SNS on my nails and I wanted five different colors. I know it can be a pain but I planned on paying whatever it cost, and tipping generously. (I did the last time I got the same thing done). The complained the whole time, making me uncomfortable, and rushed me because I was there last person. (I came in at 5:30 when they closed at 7). The nail tech asked me how long the SNS usually lasts for me, and I said 3 weeks and he told me that this set would last me forever and that I wouldn't ever have to come back. I'm leaving 2 stars only because I like the way they turned out. And I won't be going back. read more

I had a scheduled appointment and was told that my nail technician was running late, which is fine, it happens time to time. Instead of sitting me down and getting me the nail colors to choose from and a water, I was made to WAIT! Literally, I pay these people lots of money to help me do self care, and I don't even get to wait with dignity; maybe choosing my color before hand. NOPE! Guess what? I'll never return here again. Awful service! I went in to get nails soaked off, which I would then get a full set on at a later date but for nail health - wanted them off for a little. They turned me away because they only do "full service" when soaking is a proper service and should be professionally done. Tina is the best there is! You can tell she's a total perfectionist which means she does an amazing job every time. I love her attention to detail and her patience, as she let me do TEN different colors. I call ahead and make sure Tina's there before coming in. The space itself is big and bright and very pretty inside. I like the setup with all the technicians in the middle of the bar, and customers on the outside.
