Everyone here is gentle and the atmosphere is so calming. Just had my pedicure and was terribly disappointed. For $35, she just soaked the feet, removed the polish, did some clipping around the nails and then added the nail polish!! She put my shoes on shortly after and the left toe was smudged, she fixed it and sent me out the door. I carefully got in my car and headed home, they had smudged!! They don't ask if you want extras. Just get you in and out fast. The other salons in Ripon I get the wax booties, long massuage, sea salt scrub.....here nothing. They dont ask, show you a chart of their services, or even offer extra. I'm willing to pay, but the last time I had a manicure at nail salon by Dollar General for $38, that included the sea salt scrub, wax booties and a long massage with manicure. Rather disappointed with services. I booked an appointment for a regular pedicure and gel manicure. Pedicure was awesome however my manicure was subpar. My nails were not completely painted and the top clear coat did not cover the entire nail (hard to tell in photos but in person, it's really obvious on my thumbs). Only 2 coats of color were applied which left patchy spots all over my nails. Before the day was done, it had already started chipping and peeling up. I wanted to return the following day to have them fixed yet the sign on the door states closed on Tuesdays. They also only accept cash, which I did not have enough of nor did I know ahead of time. I had to run to Savemart to pull out cash and rush back after service. There were only 2 women working while I was there and there seemed to be a long wait time for others (whether they had appointments or not). Perhaps this was because of a Monday afternoon but I will not be returning. read more

Dana and Anne are the best! I have been coming here for nearly 10 years and won't go anywhere else. Their salon is incredibly clean (important for me!), they're both very talented and hard working, and they're always willing to try something new with me. Very reasonably priced and thrift chairs are so relaxing with the full back massage. They also do a great job with kids manicures, making it fun and easy for squirmy little ones. My daughter was treating me to a pedi for my birthday so when we walked in and had a wait I was ok with that. When they show us in the chair the water was cold, not warm, COLD. they went on with the pedi never asking about water temp, cut the nails, did a quick scrub down and about 2 min leg rub. Never even messaging my feet? Weird ! Draped a hot towel over the top real quick and boom done. I think the service has to be improved. When I walked in I felt rushed when choosing the color and it seems that they were not all that happy giving me my service. When I finally selected the color and the type of nails that I wanted, they told me if I had enough money because they only accept cash and that made me feel like they thought that I cannot afford for what I went in for. Very friendly staff and the pedicure lasts such a long time without chipping! I'd say easily longer than 4 weeks without needing to replace the polish on your toes, depending on how fast your nails grow (of course). Before my sister's wedding, they were able to find a gel color that matched the bridesmaids dress and get my nails done before closing just in time for the weekend of the wedding. The ladies work long hours and always seem busy. Check in with them ahead of time to make an appointment or find a best time to come in. Since they don't have many staff, walk-ins might not be possible most of the time. This is the only down side I can think of. Oh, be prepared that the cost is a bit higher than places in surrounding cities but well worth the price! The work they do is thorough and lasts a long time! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. My mom and I visited with an appointment today, as were the first people there. The employee directed us to sit down, without explaining that we cannot pick our color at the wall (due to COVID). She became frustrated with us. My mom asked me a question, to which I replied "I don't know". The employee immediately chimed in and said "you don't know! I don't know!" We were confused, but sat down, and she brought the colors to us. My mom began sitting down, and adjusted her seat. The employee aggressively kept asking her "what's wrong??" Saying "It's because COVID19!!" Then, the employee turn to me, with my mom sitting right there, and said "what's wrong with her??" " is she okay"?? As if my mom had something wrong with her. We were happy to follow any rule or guideline, but she continuously badgered us, making us feel SO uncomfortable and like we were a huge problem to them. We left before the service could even start. I went here because I wanted something more relaxing than Nails by David Lee in Modesto, but I ended up with a lesser quality of pedicure. The best part of a pedicure is the foot and leg massage but they left that part out. She rubbed a few hot stones on my legs and that was the extent of it. If you're not going to massage my feet, I expect you to at least make sure you get all the dry skin off. They didn't do that either. Had they had massage chairs, maybe I would've bumped up my review one star but it seems this place will do anything possible to avoid giving any kind of a massage. Incredibly disappointed. I'd give zero stars if possible but it's not. Place is TERRIBLE and the customer service is basically non-existent. This place has little to no regard for the customer in my personal experience. Don't bother making an appointment because they won't honor it and they won't apologize for it. What they seem to me to do is understaff the place so they don't end up paying enough people. So if they're running behind (and they will be) they'll either make you wait or, if they already started you, just hurry through whatever they are doing (pedicure, etc.) for you to make room for the next person. They aren't in any way friendly or hospitable. They seem to have no idea that customer service is important or what the idea means. The quality of their work is mediocre. Also, they have this sign out , something to the effect of under new management or ownership, maybe because they have so many complaints. But that sign, I believe, has been out for at least six months or really more like a year or more. Point: same old lousy management. This place is really horrible. Everytime I am in town my mom and I come here to get a mani/pedi. They do great gel mani's that last for weeks even with rough wear and tear. Cons - Extreme rudeness exhibited by both of the nail ladies who were working. Zero thanks, zero pleasantness, zero hospitality, zero professionalism. From the details my mom is telling me, it sounds like these women were downright witchy and rude. I am upset with this salon for making my mom's experience of receiving a manicure and pedicure, which SHOULD be a luxurious thing, an unpleasant one. Upon reading the other reviews about this salon, my mom agrees with the one star reviews. I used to be extremely loyal to this place. The owners even knew me by name. If it were one year ago I would have given it 6 stars. It is the cleanest Vietnamese nail salon I've ever been to. The ambiance is perfect, it's relaxing and their pedicures are the best I've ever had. What has unfortunately caused me to rate Pro Nails with such a low score is their customer service and negligence to honor appointment times. Over the past year they must have just got really busy and have no idea how to manage their time. If you make an appointment, just assume you're a walk in. They will not say no to any person who walks in and do not give realistic wait times. My sister and I made appointments one day two hours before we came in, when we arrived, they let us know they were running a little behind. One hour and 15 minutes later with no care to check in with us or say sorry, we decided to just leave. I don't know if I can ever go back. I was just so infuriated. Sadly I can no longer recommend Pro Nails. It is hard to find a clean, affordable place that delivers a great spa experience. Even though Pro Nails meets these spa expectations, inability to manage is more memorable than the quality of their nail services. This place gives a GREAT pedicure, the best in town. They are thorough, detailed and it shows in the end result;your color doesn't chip. Most importantly they are CLEAN! Every time I've been in they are cleaning the pedicure chair filters that aren't in use and they never reuse tools. I always see them get a new tool or get it out of the sanitizer. i have been here 3 times over the span of a year (yeah, i know, i'm too cheap to make this a routine), and every time has been pleasant. the pedicures are great. i have opted for the super duper top of the line pedicure twice (sorry, i cannot recall the exact title of this multi-layered pedicure) and it is 45 minutes of bliss. they put all sorts of stuff on your legs and feet -- much of it warm and ooey-gooey-squishy-squashy (sorry, its a wiggles reference, we have a toddler), and it feels relaxing and your skin is as soft as a baby's rear afterwards. they have pretty late hours...on the saturday we went they were open until 7pm. the place itself is nicely decorated, and no extreme nail polish smells were observed. the staff is accommodating and cordial. prices seemed fair and pretty consistent with competing places. read more
