This place is it!!!!' The lady that sits next to the front check-in did an amazing job! The way she shaped my nails was the key factor for me and really turned out great on how mg nails look. Back story: After working hard all week, my promised my daughter a girls day to get her nails done for homecoming. So when we walk inside, the last thing I want to hear is sports on the television. This salon deserve a five star because it's clean and friendly. They have lots of nail colors to choose from (and you know that's the hardest decision to make when there's so much). Went here just to get a pedicure, wasn't too bad! Walked in on a Wednesday and they were able to take two people, there's a sign that says pay before service but they took our payment after so not sure what the sign was referring too. We wanted to get the deluxe but they didn't ask what type of pedicure we wanted so ended up getting the normal one instead, wasn't bad, very basic pedicure with some lotion and hot towel. I'm coming here from now on. Their color selection is awesome, their prices are affordable, and the quality of their work is great. My lady even started a couple of nails over because she didn't want me walking out with two of them not looking their best. At the time I went, it wasn't very busy, which is a plus. I take away a star because I wasn't entirely sure all of their equipment was newly sterilized between customers. Call me gross but I don't care all too much as long as I don't get some infection in a few weeks. Also, they may come across as rude because they're quiet and not as engaging in conversation, which may be a turn off for some, but they did take the time to talk to their regulars. This used to be our go to place in Vallejo, I've been taking my now 14 year old daughter and her cousin here for over 4 years. It's a nice little treat for them at a reasonable price. They usually get their fingers and toes done for $10 each. Two visits ago, I had to run to Safeway while waiting, so I sent my daughter in and then ran my errand. Upon return, I noticed it was taking much longer than usual. Went it came time to pay, it was $30 instead of $10. Come to find out it's because they asked her if she wanted her hands and feet done, she said yes assuming it was thee usual service, but instead they gave her full service. I was really pissed that they would ask her this, when we've gotten the same service for years. But whatever...lesson learned. Last week I bring my daughter and her cousin again. This time after they're done, the girls are very unhappy since most of their nails are very unclean and the polish not covering their full nails. I spoke to the lady about it and she quickly painted their nails against, and said they should have said something. Why should they have to say something, shouldn't you notice or care? And as soon as I found out, I did say something. Ok that's over...the very next morning, the girls polish started peeling off on all their nails! They didn't do anything to mess them up, just showered 24 hours later and they just started peeling. Unfortunately this place has just gone way down hill, and we've learned our lesson. read more

Just a simple French tip and they came out good. Reasonable price. Two weeks later I can in for my eyebrow waxing and Linda did great! I walked in, and they were very quick to sit me down even though I was a walk in. I came in around 5:50 on a Sunday. It was a very clean, professional place. But no smiles were given when I came in. I was deciding on a color, when the nail technician said "pick a color!" in a pushy manner. I sat down at her station, she didn't introduce herself but I didn't mind. She started off by being gentle, but as she was prepping my nails for the color, she seemed to be getting careless. She used the cuticle cutters, and ended up cutting me. I decided after my nails were done to get a pedicure, the nice woman was a bit older, and helped me get into the chair. She took her time with washing and massaging my feet. Came here to get a Full set and Pedicure the pedicure went fine, But when it got to the Full set the lady started and in the middle she stop because her old clients came in that didn't have an appointment. So she moved me to another chair told me to wait a moment and started working on her old client. I love this place for many reasons. 1) right around the corner from my house and next to Safeway where I mostly do our grocery shopping 2) can't beat the price for a spa-pedi and mani 3) they are fast and pretty efficient and in doing so I tend to tip 20% or more for overall services 4) Kay & Jason does an awesome job on nails and Kay for both (don't think Jason does pedi :) ) 5) they know what I want because I'm very meticulous about my nails I've been to other nail salons in Vallejo and not very happy with either the service or the price or both. This is usually my choice of place to get my nails did. Never had a negative comment until today. The lady there, with the drawn on eyebrows and big boobs did my manicure. I asked for coffin shape and she said that's a 5$ charge...? moving on to doing my nails, a lot of customers show up so she starts rushing and doing my nails really messy. When she was done, I noticed that there was hella nail polish on my skin so I told her it's messy. IMPORTANT NOTE RE: ACRYLICS/GEL/CRYSTAL: If you want to get your acrylics done for the first time, then go ahead, since they do an OK job. However, if you need retouching or want them removed. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. On the other hand, the last time I went here the owner told me to come back in 10 minutes. I went to the coffee & donut shop next door, and a few minutes later, he popped his head in and got me, which was cool. I lucked out and got a pretty good spa pedicurist. Her massage wasn't strong, but she took her time with it and engaged in conversation with me. I should've written this as soon as I got back from the salon because now I forgot her name (oops, LOL). All I remember is that she's 29 years old and single, haha. The manicurist, however, wasn't that great and the manicure itself didn't last that long (2-3 days). The only reason I keep coming here is because it's pretty close to my house and main grocery store, but at this rate (and for these prices) I'd rather go to Unique Nails in the Gateway Plaza shopping center or Kim's salon in the Target shopping center. Just FYI, they charge if you use a card, so be sure to bring cash for payment. This place is always either a hit or miss. They work on your hands and feet pretty quickly you pretty much feel like all they want is your money. If you're looking for time, attention, and pampering, then this place is probably not for you. Efficiency- I had kay do my nails. she was friendly, fast, and did a MARVELOUS job on my nails. all my nails were filed at the right length, she didnt cut me (LOL) , and she took her time making sure that my nails look its best. I personally go to Kay for my acrylics every 2-2 1/2 weeks , and sometimes even longer -_- but that shows me how good their product is that ive never gotten lift or any chips. I am giving a mediocre rating because my service was mediocre. I had a wedding to attend last night, so I stopped by Pro Nails to get in a pedi and polish change so I could be oh - so - fly for the nuptials. The pedi was very basic, polish removed, nails clipped and filed, cuticles trimmed, feet barely scrubbed, and new polish. My issue is with the polish change on my finger nails. My polish began to chip before I even got to the wedding that started at 6pm. After my shower, my nails were a rap. Oh, and did I mention, they charge a $1 fee if you pay with a card. I'm not mad, just a tad disappointed. The reason I came by in the first place is because I saw a girl with a gel mani and the color was spectacular.
