    Paraffin Wax and Hot Stones

A good pedicure just makes you feel like a million bucks. It will turn any day around. I have been here many times, but I had to leave a review today because I feel like I had the BEST service by Tami today. She was so kind and thorough with my pedicure. I opted for the one that includes the paraffin wax and hot stones. This was my first time doing this pedicure, and all I can say is I have been missing out. But I also feel it was due to Tami's technique and attention to detail. Her massage was amazing. The way she does the towel wrap, decadent. The paraffin wax melts all your tension. Everything about her service was incredible. Top Tier service. The place is always clean and organized. The decor is simple but beautiful. And they always greet you with such kindness. The owner is so kind, and I am always happy to support her business.

I got lucky and called for an appt and they said to come now, so no wait for me! Parking was easy because it's a strip mall. The inside was clean and they had hundreds of colors to choose from, both regular and gel options. The pedicure chair was comfortable and the water was warm. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly. She did a great job on my toes and her massage was nice too!

Pedicure with DND gel polish in Lava Red #068

Stopped in today for a spa pedicure with gel. I didn't have an appointment and my wait was about 15 minutes. I don't know the name of the woman who did my feet but she was very sweet and attentive to my needs. I like that they use DND gel because that is what I use at home to do my finger nails and it is a good quality polish. My feet feel great even though I didn't pay extra for callus removal. Hopefully, this pedicure will last into October. It was $45 for the basic spa pedi with gel. Seems expensive but I only pay for pedicures 2x/year, and it seems like everything is getting expensive now.

I got a gel French tip pedicure with a flower design and callus removal. It was my first-time having callus removal, and I was surprised how much came off. I was able to walk in with no wait since there was a lot of staff the day I went.

Lots of colors to choose from!

The salon is clean and busy. They were able to take me on a Wednesday morning but next time I will make an appointment. Tammy did my nails and she was great! I had the basic spa pedicure and it comes with a nice leg scrub and the stuff they use smells wonderful. Tammy also gives one of the best massages I've had in a mail salon! They also have a punch card if you pay cash.

Everything is better with a fresh pedi! Inhale the amazing scents that are used in your pedi and exhale all your worries away at this enchanting spa. The esthetic is just so pleasing. I recommend getting the luxury pedi with the paraffin wax. You'll be doing your hard-working feet a favor! Quyen was amazing! She was meticulous with beautifying my neglected feet and yet so gentle. The owner Kim is always there and so helpful and friendly. I can't wait for my next pedi already.

I went in for a fill with Fden after a bad experience at a different nail salon. Fden was so friendly and made me feel comfortable. The best part was that she listened to what I wanted and made my nails look gorgeous! Thank you Fden, I'll never go anywhere else.

Sloppy acrylics after I left salon the first time. Scratches and gaps visible, Chrome #11 on B03 polish.

Tell me why I feel scammed .. I paid $140 for a new set of acrylics and a gel pedicure -- which to me is more than I've ever had to pay for any of the same services at any salon in SD, LA, or Ventura AND the quality DID NOT reflect a $140 treatment. The product felt sloppy and rushed.... I cried a little in my car and had to go back in to get them to fix it. Let me be clear when I say that I don't think $140 is an outlandish amount of money to pay for these services IF the quality, detail, and intricacy of the set matches that price point. I rlly do not like leaving negative reviews, especially for local businesses. so I hope this is a one off and will not impact your experience too! But I wanted to be honest about the service I received I've been here before 4 years ago and remember I felt like I was charged more than market price for a set, but wanted to give them a try again! The salon is quite normal what you'd expect from a salon inside, and the staff are nice. Granted: $10 of the $140 did go towards having them repaint my toes while still in the salon because I didn't like the color -- which is completely my bad, I totally accept that, and they were kind about fixing it -- I'm pretty sure this is a discounted price too. Normally they said it would've been $40 more to repaint my toes. (But still.. $40 to repaint a color the customer doesn't like?) As far as my acrylics: the shape was so thick, lumpy, and uneven when she started. After she shaped them herself, I continuously asked her to please keep thinning them out due to how lumpy the tips looked. She obliged, even tho she said it makes them more fragile (which ik). She started applying the chrome with the brush but abandoned it quickly for her fingers when she realized it was faster. She only did one coat of the powder. (Forewarning too if you're getting the chrome: the final product really doesn't look like what's on the painted set at the front desk. Mine turned out way more yellow than the sample. But I wasn't about to ask them to redo that color too) Price breakdown: $55 set of acrylic extensions $15 chrome powder on nails $35 basic pedicure $25 for gel on toes $10 for toes repainted (my fault lol) = $140 total -- Granted, this was going to be $185 originally, which would've been if they charged me for the chrome they initially put on my toes and i asked them to buff off in addition to the repaint charge. I'm grateful they allowed it to be $140, but still feels expensive *FOR THE QUALITY OF SERVICE RECEIVED* compared to what I'm used to in the city. The nails felt sloppy. My toes looked great, however. They had to break this pricing down for me because I was confused that it didn't reflect what I thought would be based on their pricing service list on the wall. When I got in my car to leave and examined my nails, I started crying. (Lol... like it always seems so dramatic when ppl cry when they don't like their nails but I get it now). There were gaps and scratches in the chrome acrylics everywhere. I hate being a stickler and being picky at the salon but like bro .. I want my nails to look nice!!! When it Especially looks sloppy and rushed and you're going to charge $15 extra for chrome powder on hands and feet each ...... it's reasonable to assume the coat will be solid! Anyway bruh .... I buckled up emotionally bc I hate being that person but I went back in to ask them to fix the chrome on my acrylics, which they did free of charge, which I appreciate. Thankfully, she didn't use the same method as the first person who applied the chrome and did it properly with the brush. She gave me two coats, and ensured all corners of my nails were able to dry properly under the UV light. She asked me twice to double check the quality before I left, and it looked fine enough. There's a major dent in one nail but at that point it just doesn't feel worth it to fix. In summation: the staff were nice, helped out as much as they could with my requests, but the quality overall still felt sloppy and rushed, making the price point feel incredibly disproportionate to the service I received. I don't think it's a terrible salon, but I will not be going back for anything more than a set of the most basic nail polish. I got Chrome #11 on B03 polish (a nude) on my hands, and plain white on my toes.

Ask the Community - Nails By Kim

Which type of manicure or combo process is the most long lasting? I'm keeping my nails short so I won't need length, but I do want the polish to last 4 weeks.

Unless you hold your hands perfectly still, never wash dishes, eat, type, pet animals or children, no such combination exists for 4 weeks. Nails grow and the gels, acrylics and polishes just crack. I hope such a thing is invented. The longest I've… Read more

Does anyone know if they ever answer their phone? I have called for a week straight. Left countless voicemails and received nothing. I believe their appointment request is an auto reply as I received a message stating to call them at their salon

When we are with our guests we don’t answer phone calls. We checked our messages at the end of the day. If you left a message we must of missed it. So sorry. We have a small team here. Please call again!

Do you offer dipping powder and if yes, how much is it?

Yes they do it is $40 and up

    Do you do acrylic nails?

    Yes!

What is the charge for a pedicure?

It ranges from $25-$55 and worth of every penny. I highly recommend getting their pearl pedicure ($55) which includes exfoliation, toning, callous removal, parrafin wax, and their awesome hot stone massage. You can thank me later ;) btw, it includes… Read more

I paid the amount and was told to return at 6:30 p.m., out of respect for myself and the business. I showed up at 6:20 p.m. It seemed like a standard procedure. I waited. 6:30 p.m. Still nothing. 6:35 p.m. Still nothing. 6:40 p.m. Still nothing. At 6:42 p.m., I asked, "What's the point of paying 20 percent of your bill if they don't respect their own '20 percent policy' when you're late? They keep your money and then bump you." It's incredibly irresponsible and unprofessional to ask for 20 percent upfront and then be lazy about keeping track of their own appointments, especially when they charge 20 percent upfront for them. In all my years of getting pedicures and manicures, I have never been charged a 20 percent fee upfront. And on top of that, I'm left wondering what the point of the fee and the appointment is if they don't honor the time. If they are this lax with appointments, I can only speculate on the shortcuts they employ in providing service and maintaining quality. When you charge a fee for a service upfront, you must deliver on your promises. This is not only disappointing, but also problematic.
