I don't know the name of the woman who did my feet but she was very sweet and attentive to my needs. I like that they use DND gel because that is what I use at home to do my finger nails and it is a good quality polish. My feet feel great even though I didn't pay extra for callus removal. Hopefully, this pedicure will last into October. It was $45 for the basic spa pedi with gel. I won't be back. I made an appointment for a manicure only. I have been wanting to get my nails back in shape. I felt a little nervous because my cuticles are in rough shape and I need some compassion as I make my way back to better nail health. I got Tammy and she had already drawn the water for a pedicure even though I had made the appointment for manicure only. I could that I wasn't having a pedicure annoyed her. She huffed. I knew that we were already headed in the wrong direction. No smile. Barely a greeting. I had bruised one of my fingers badly and asked her to be careful. She kept squeezing it...hard. I asked her again to be careful. Barely an acknowledgement. I had asked for clear polish, but she only buffed them (roughly) and shoved my nails in my face. I continue to be a big fan of Nails By Kim. I primarily come here for gel pedicures and am never left disappointed. They are always friendly and do a fantastic job. The pedicure generally lasts me 6-8 weeks. I love that the sugar scrub comes with even the basic pedicure. Sometimes I will treat myself to one of the more expensive pedicures - I especially love the one with the hot stones. They can be quite busy at times and don't always accept walk-ins so I highly recommend making an appointment at least a couple days in advance. read more

I have been to a lot of nail spas and this one is the best. I came in a few minutes to closing time on Mexican Mother's Day with my two daughters and they welcomed us with a positive happy attitude. The energy and vibes are so fun, loving and kind. I was cared for by Tram and she always does the most perfect job. No one does my toes and flowers better than Tram. Plus all of the working staff are not only grate at what they do but their personalities are exactly what women want from a spa. Thank you to all of the workers at this spa. Tell me why I feel scammed .. I paid $140 for a new set of acrylics and a gel pedicure -- which to me is more than I've ever had to pay for any of the same services at any salon in SD, LA, or Ventura AND the quality DID NOT reflect a $140 treatment. The product felt sloppy and rushed.... I cried a little in my car and had to go back in to get them to fix it. Let me be clear when I say that I don't think $140 is an outlandish amount of money to pay for these services IF the quality, detail, and intricacy of the set matches that price point. I rlly do not like leaving negative reviews, especially for local businesses. so I hope this is a one off and will not impact your experience too! But I wanted to be honest about the service I received I've been here before 4 years ago and remember I felt like I was charged more than market price for a set, but wanted to give them a try again! The salon is quite normal what you'd expect from a salon inside, and the staff are nice. Granted: $10 of the $140 did go towards having them repaint my toes while still in the salon because I didn't like the color -- which is completely my bad, I totally accept that, and they were kind about fixing it -- I'm pretty sure this is a discounted price too. Normally they said it would've been $40 more to repaint my toes. (But still.. $40 to repaint a color the customer doesn't like?) As far as my acrylics: the shape was so thick, lumpy, and uneven when she started. After she shaped them herself, I continuously asked her to please keep thinning them out due to how lumpy the tips looked. She obliged, even tho she said it makes them more fragile (which ik). She started applying the chrome with the brush but abandoned it quickly for her fingers when she realized it was faster. She only did one coat of the powder. (Forewarning too if you're getting the chrome: the final product really doesn't look like what's on the painted set at the front desk. Mine turned out way more yellow than the sample. But I wasn't about to ask them to redo that color too) Price breakdown: $55 set of acrylic extensions $15 chrome powder on nails $35 basic pedicure $25 for gel on toes $10 for toes repainted (my fault lol) = $140 total -- Granted, this was going to be $185 originally, which would've been if they charged me for the chrome they initially put on my toes and i asked them to buff off in addition to the repaint charge. I'm grateful they allowed it to be $140, but still feels expensive *FOR THE QUALITY OF SERVICE RECEIVED* compared to what I'm used to in the city. The nails felt sloppy. My toes looked great, however. They had to break this pricing down for me because I was confused that it didn't reflect what I thought would be based on their pricing service list on the wall. When I got in my car to leave and examined my nails, I started crying. (Lol... like it always seems so dramatic when ppl cry when they don't like their nails but I get it now). There were gaps and scratches in the chrome acrylics everywhere. I hate being a stickler and being picky at the salon but like bro .. I want my nails to look nice!!! When it Especially looks sloppy and rushed and you're going to charge $15 extra for chrome powder on hands and feet each ...... it's reasonable to assume the coat will be solid! Anyway bruh .... I buckled up emotionally bc I hate being that person but I went back in to ask them to fix the chrome on my acrylics, which they did free of charge, which I appreciate. Thankfully, she didn't use the same method as the first person who applied the chrome and did it properly with the brush. She gave me two coats, and ensured all corners of my nails were able to dry properly under the UV light. She asked me twice to double check the quality before I left, and it looked fine enough. There's a major dent in one nail but at that point it just doesn't feel worth it to fix. In summation: the staff were nice, helped out as much as they could with my requests, but the quality overall still felt sloppy and rushed, making the price point feel incredibly disproportionate to the service I received. I don't think it's a terrible salon, but I will not be going back for anything more than a set of the most basic nail polish. I got Chrome #11 on B03 polish (a nude) on my hands, and plain white on my toes. read more

After several good manis and pedis here, I had an awful humiliating experience. If you don't want to be accused of lying in front of a crowd, damaged nails and a gamble at a bad mani and pedi don't come here! The evening after the gel mani and pedi, I had a nail break and polish peel off. My nails were cut from a medium-long length to pretty short so when my nail broke, it peeled to expose sensitive skin. The pain was excruciating. I now realize that the service provider used the electric device to remove the gel excessively thinning out my nails. After two weeks my nails are still breaking! The day after my appointment I also noticed excess skin besides my toes and dry skin patches all over my feet. I was really upset because I remember specifically paying extra for the 'Deluxe' pedicure which included callus removal. On Monday, I called to explain the situation to the owner. She asked me to come in, but unfortunately I was leaving town for a week. Upon returning, I drove straight there. I waited about 15 mins and picked out new colors, but the person in charge told me I couldn't have new colors. I wished I would have asked why. After the 1 hour drive hassle, I was hoping I could at least get new colors. Little did I know that the time driving would be the better part of this experience. Then I'm told that they are only re-doing the pedi because I would have had to come in the day after to fix the mani. Honestly this is when I started to get frustrated and angry. I reminded the person in charge to tell the owner about my travels and that it wasn't just a chip in my nails, but that my nails were damaged. When she came to report back from her conversation with the owner she said that to remove dry skin from the feet I'd have to pay for callus removal which of course, I did! Her response was incredible. She said she was going to have to check the cameras. I couldn't believe she was accusing me of lying. I was so embarrassed, I regret not leaving right then and there! No mani and pedi is worth your dignity. Ultimately, a new service provider re-did my pedicure and the original service provider re-did the two broken nails with the peeled off polish. Had I known my character would have been brought to question in front of a crowd, I would have NEVER given them an opportunity to do a better job. Honestly, I should have just posted a review of my original bad experience because as I left the person in charge encouraged me to write a review. It sounds like they enjoy feedback, whether it is good or bad, which is great, except I don't think she realizes that the issue was the way the managed the situation. I understand mistakes happen, but there's no excuse for treating someone the way she treated me. At least the nail technician who originally did my mani was kind and apologetic. Bottom line: you'll probably have a good mani and pedi here, but if/when you don't, and you speak up, you will be humiliated. Your dignity is not worth the gamble. read more

The owner is a very nice, kind human being who strives to provide the best service he can for his clients. The staff are all friendly and attentive to your needs. The vibe is nice and relaxed. Made an appointment for my grandma to come in and get her nails done. They then made her wait 30 minutes after scheduled appointment time. When she finally was seen it was with someone she didn't ask for, and some she's been with two other times who has cut her and was rough. I scheduled an appointment 24 hours in advance as I was notified, "we are a small team who wears many hats, and if you don't have an appointment we might turn you away" which sounds very start up vibes, huh? I requested a mini french manicure in purple, and was able to choose my own polish as the polishes they chose for me were too dark or too light. I wasn't too big of a fan of their mini french manicure process-they paint your nail with color polish first, then run a brush with nail polish remover to get the curve, and apply a base coat then top coat. From social media, this method doesn't seem as bad as the stamper, but it felt like they were taking the easy way out. I was also told that the mini french manicure I was receiving would not last as long as the gel version which made sense, but it sounded like they were making an excuse for a potential mediocre job. At $25 before tip, this is a good chance to give your nails some TLC, but other than that nothing stood out. read more

I got an infected ingrown toenail in my big toe after getting a pedicure here. When I went in to get the pedicure done, I specifically told them to be careful when cutting the edges of my big toe because it was very sensitive. When she went to cut the sides of the toenail she DUG out the side of the hangnail and was jabbing at the side of the toe. I had to ask her to STOP, and she still progressed to try and clean and dig deeper with a scooper tool. Since the pedicure, my toe has been irritated and in pain for the past week and is now swollen. From my photo, you can tell that the side of my big toe is swollen and now turning purple. I would not recommend this place because they obviously don't listen especially when I asked them to STOP jabbing my foot & to be extremely careful. This sucks A LOT because if it gets work I'll need to go to the doctor and get professional guidance on getting it fixed. SAVE YOUR TOES -- PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE. Lisa paid extra attention to make sure they were not "bulky" and looked as natural as possible.
