I've had pest control service in the past from several companies however the attention to detail and explanation was by far the best I've experienced. I called the team for general pest control service as summer months are approaching. The technician took extra time ensuring our backyard was very detailed and safe since we plan a lot of time in our backyard this summer. Nick was wearing a mask the entire time and was very conscious to the COVID-19 preventative gear. Nick was extremely thorough in his treatment and then took the time to walk me through next steps, expectations and welcomed me as a new customer. I really appreciate Pacific Pest control everyone who had apart in handling my rodent problem were very nice and attentive to my request. When I started the process of looking for a company that would stand by their word Pacific was the first company to respond to me. It was late like 8 pm on a Saturday or even later I hit a response immediately. I was scheduled for the following Monday at 9:30 in the morning Mike came out. He did my inspection confirmed I had rats in my attic gave me a quote gave me several plans to choose from and told what I needed and what was not necessary. I run a business out of my home so asked to have the work done on a Saturday. They don't normally work on the weekends but, they were able to set it for me. Chris was sent out and he was very nice and did a great jib secure my house and filled all the openings around my home. He was there from 8-1pm. He was very informative and sufficient. I have used them twice now. Once a year during ant season in Irvine. Both times it worked. The first year they dropped by a second time for free since we still had ants. The second year was one and done. The guys that came out were nice and professional. No up sale which a lot of companies do. We had rodent issues and were hesitant since the economy slowed and made an impact on our lives but we're glad we booked! Mario came and spent all morning and part of the afternoon sealing and closing off any openings. Thereafter, the following 3 weeks consisted of weekly check-ins on the trappings (by Mario, Julio, Michael). Luckily, none have been seen inside of our home. I would not recommend going with this company. Our initial service was in July, and now just two months later there are still spiders and crickets everywhere. When I called customer service, the associate said that I should just move my next service up. When I asked to cancel, she just said "okay...." and then hung up on me. Called this company after we saw a rodent run across our patio outside. We knew a neighbor of ours had a previous issue so our call was more for preventive services. Craig, came out and did the initial inspection. He was great! Very informative & skilled. He left a detailed report and provided us with a termite quote (even though that's not what we called for) on the spot. Tyler and Chris came out about a few days later to do the rodent proofing. Both of them were great! They were on time, professional and friendly. Tyler tolerated my MANY questions & even walked me around the property to show me the potential entry points Craig outlined. My old company Little Bugger retired and closed down and recommended Pacific Pest Control to all of their customers. I had them come spray for spiders around my house and 2 weeks later I was still walking into spider webs every time I walked outside. Called them to come for a retreat and they never called or showed. Rescheduled again for early morning time and informed them I have to leave for work by a certain time and they were scheduled to show an hour prior to that. They apparently showed 30 mins after I had left and then sent me a bill for the treatment They were supposed to treat exterior and interior of my garage which is why I had to be there. My yard and house is still infested with spiders. I'm not sure if it's the product they are using or if they even sprayed my yard, but I've never had to have my yard done more than once. I will never use this company and I highly recommend finding someone else. When I called to make appointments only 1 person was ever courteous and I was rescheduled 3 times by the company, once myself after they didn't call or show. The woman was rude when I called asking where they were and said the tech was running late at an "emergency spray job." And that's why no one ever called me. Very disappointing for the money I have spent! My grave has still not been sprayed and I walk into massive webs on a daily basis. read more

I contacted Pacific Pest Control based on the yelp review back in 2014. Today I would like to leave my review to help someone who is looking for a pest control service. In 2014, I had separate incidents that the dead (rather small) roach being on the living room floor in the morning. I am OK with spiders, ants, bees and bugs, but I cannot stand with roaches! Since then, we have had their quarterly service. They usually notify the service time/date by email. We had some communication errors in the past, but they handled them professionally and friendly manner. When I have a specific area of concern, I usually call them before the appointment and the technician looked into the concern and took care of them during the quarterly service. They even leaves or send a service report with info about the chemicals. They never tried to rip off extra $$ from you. I am very happy that our home is well protected. read more

I thought I saw something alarming last night and decided I need to talk to a professional pest control. I started calling around 7:30 in the morning going through the highest reviews on Yelp. Craig not only answered my call but also committed to coming out right away to address my concerns. He got here 5 minutes early. I believe he moved around his schedule to accommodate what might be an emergency. It turned out I didn't need anything done, which is great relief. But, words cannot describe how much I appreciate Craig's responsiveness, professionalism, and genuine kindness. He was thorough, friendly, and assuring. Someone I would trust 100%. Now, I am contemplating one of the monthly services he offers. But I could not wait to leave this review and want to thank Craig again for being so nice. BTW, other pest companies started calling me back and were offering to come out after the weekend and asking to charge $95 for the inspection. We hired Pro Pacific Pest Control during the Summer to take care of ants and their service made the ants WAY worse. We were talked into a Quarterly Service & in the 1st quarter, they had to spray 3 times, with no relief. They ran out of the traps 2 of the times they came out,"Because everyone else needed them" We requested to cancel our account. They continually send us bills that we owe a $125. cancellation fee. Since this has been such a headache, I would now like a full refund of what I spent, and our account to be closed. When I call, they pass me around and tell me what I want to hear and say they will stop the bills from coming. Then, two weeks later, I get another bill. They have 30 1-star reviews on Yelp for similar situations and are unwilling to make things right or treat people fairly. I've been on hold for 29 minutes on my 4th time calling. I called this company before and the owner was very nice - he came out himself and sprayed for a certain type of any and we haven't had a problem since 2015 - now the ants are back and I called to have him come out again and the girl that answered the phone looked up my account and then told me it would be $225 to do the perimeter of the house and that they don't spot treat but back in 2015 they certainly did and the owner himself did it. It wasn't so much the price but the fact that she didn't even offer to have him give me a call and offered no solutions. My AC/Furnace tune up guy took a look up my attic and made me aware of a possible rodent problem. I looked up local pest control companies and selected a couple based on their yelp reviews. Chris from Pacific Pest was the first person to come in for a free inspection. He called ahead of time to let me know his arrival window and was on time. He inspected my attic and showed me photos of the problem areas. Then he told me he would take a look around the perimeter to see possible access points. He was so long gone I thought I'd look outside. Lo and behold I found him fixing my side alley gate!!! He nailed the loose board and brought in his own wood screws to fix the dangly latch. He then explained the whole clean-up process in great detail and how Pacific Pest would address those problems. It was his pointers that helped me grill the other company that came in to give me a quote. He was very patient with me and when I called him subsequently to ask him a few questions that had come up during my research he was very straightforward about things he knew and things he didn't. It was all these qualities that made me select Pacific Pest rather than the other company (even though they had a lower quote). I selected their Premium service, the initial visit entailed removing all the insulation and set up traps as well as ensuring all entry/exit points were sealed up. The team of Pierre, Michael and Robert came in to do that. Again they were on-time, called in ahead of time to confirm arrival time and very professional. Chris also dropped in to check in on them. I spoke to Craig over the phone to schedule the payment and he helped me out with the scheduling of the trap checks in the following weeks. The trap checks went well, they didn't catch anything and after about a month, they came in to blow in the R 38 insulation. Michael and his team were at the door right on the dot. Like the first time, they took their time to cover all the surfaces they would use, while explaining what they needed to do. I hope I won't need to call them out again, but I have the peace of mind that if I do their service is guaranteed for three years. If you are reading my review, I'm sorry you have a rodent problem, however, if you want quality work with a team of honest, hardworking people you don't need to go any further. I bought a house you had signed off on as being termite free when it had LIVE termites thinking they are well loved pets. This is about 17 years ago, not today. Read my comment again! You were extremely disingenuous! My review is suspect? I have all the paperwork with your personal signature on it! If you would care to research your records, if you even have them you would see this is a genuine disgruntled customer! And the only disappointing thing here is your service! Repairs were never completed even after numerous phone calls and messages. You abused my patience and kept leading me on until I threatened legal action with evidence (a video of termites pouring out of my kitchen cabinets - ring any bells?) then and only then did you send a team to address the infestation and a carpenter to repair the damage (who also never completed his work and disappeared). This, if you remember happened within months of the service dates, not years. Nope, you did not hold up your end, your guarantee was worthless and as a business you proved to me that you were not trustworthy or competent. I have no idea what kind of business you run today, but my experience with you and your company 17 years ago deserves less than even the one star I have to give in a Yelp review! read more

I thought I surely had termites but not having experience with termites, I called a number of different companies to compare their assessments. PRO: - inspector correctly identified our problem was not termite related (We were able to confirm we really didn't have a termite problem because two other termite companies helped us identify a moisture problem and when we opened up the wall we discovered ants and other bugs attracted to the moisture and pushing up the debris that I thought was being caused by termites). Another termite company highly rated on Yelp automatically told me we had a termite problem and gave us a $500 quote to treat the dirt outside CON: - not as friendly as the other inspectors from the other termite companies but I guess this isn't that important considering he definitively and correctly said it wasn't termites - didn't point out the moisture problem that a couple of the other termite companies were able to point out but I suppose it was a bonus for me that the inspectors from the other termite companies were even able to point it out to me read more

I don't know about the quality of their work but I do know that their bid was way out of my budget and expectations. I was quoted a price of over $3K for mice removal. Although they do offer a free estimate I thought there was a bait and switch in their proposal. I got another estimate that agreed to do the work for $225 for extermination service + $65 to plug some holes. The other provider did recommend that I get some 4 door sweeps which they do not provide but told me a local handy man would be able to do that. All told the total cost would be estimated around $800 or less including the door sweeps. Worse case scenario of $800 is much lower than the over $3K quote that I received. Provider I selected was a local small business owner in the South-Southeast LA County area (area code 562). Since I cannot vouch on the quality of their work I can say that I got a much lower price for similar services. read more

Excellent service and I can't say enough good things about Chris L.! We had some other pest control companies come by the house, and they were trying to scam us with scare tactics to get us to pay for really expensive rat control services. It almost worked, but we decided to call Pacific Pest Control for another opinion and I'm so glad we did. Chris L. was straight forward and we really appreciated his honest assessment. We certainly had a rat issue, but it wasn't a massive rat infestation like the other companies were try to make us believe. Chris also did the most thorough inspection of all the guys that came out to assess the rat problem. It was an easy decision to go with Chris. Chris sealed up the house really well, and setup traps and bait stations. He came by the house if we had any issues, but he did such a great job the first time, we really didn't have issues to report. But he still came to check on traps and bait. We also decide to stick with Chris for the rest of his pest control services. Chris completely took care of us and we couldn't be happier with his service. I called the Pacific pest control in Irvine and first have a $175 treatment for wasp and then $495 for termite local treatment for patio. I thought the price was worthy so I paid it and I trusted the technician Andy W so much so again when my tenant complain there was termite in the closet, I called Andy again and he provided mislead price information about the one time treatment and also the annual protection plan. He said he can do one time for about $100+ for closet termite, but suggest me consider interior annual protection plan for $395 to cover any pest control including spiders, ants. I swear I didn't misunderstand what he said in the phone because I got the same message as my tenant. Then, when I was told the $395 charge is only for one time termite and they don't do any termite service less than $350 blablabla... Not to mention, they said the termite and other pest control are different department. Then why I heard he said the protection plan cover all pest including spiders, ants. There is no written document for the service item with transparent price and I feel like cheated by the guy Andy. I don't want to be charged what I was not expected service items. For me, the feeling is just like a fraud. So I decide never call this company for any service in the future and cancel the future treatment that I have made and find another pest control company. read more

After researching and getting other bids, I had hired another company for attic sealing and restoration a little less than two years ago. I felt happy with their work, but then I had two dead rats in the attic and that other company came out and charged me $650 to get it out of the furnace motor. They said it wasn't covered because the rat had come in the floor intake in the house. After they left on Friday I still had a smell that was coming from a heater duct. I went on line and ended up contacting Pacific Pest Control through Home Advisor. Brian came out at 10 Monday morning and found the other dead rat within a few minutes. He showed me the improper sealing and completely unsealed alcoves and said for sure the rats didn't come in through the house. If I had had the work done by Pacific Pest I would have paid about the same for the sealing and restoration but getting out the new rats would have been free and all their sealed areas would be guaranteed for the life of the house. If I had called Pacific Pest control just remove the rat from the furnace and disinfect it, instead of calling back the company who supposedly sealed up the attic, they would have charged $375. The other guys were in the attic quite a while but they did not find the dead rat that Brian found within a couple of minutes by following droppings and lifting up a duct. I wish I would have used Pacific Pest Control in the first place!! (I will rate the other company separately when I see how they respond to what I have learned.) read more
