I had a very frustrating and disappointing experience with Pro Tints. I went there to have several services done on my vehicle, including window tint, a radio installation, and a backup camera. Unfortunately, the overall experience was extremely unprofessional. During the installation, they drilled holes into my dash kit and did a very poor job with the radio installation. When I brought this to an employee's attention, she simply took a photo and said, "we don't do business this way," but made no effort to fix the issue or address my concerns. As a customer who had already paid a significant amount, I felt completely dismissed. At one point while I was trying to explain my concerns, I was also dismissed in the middle of our conversation. The employee pushed the conversation aside to speak with another customer and then began using her phone while I was still talking. This felt extremely disrespectful and unprofessional, especially considering I was there to resolve an issue with work they had done on my vehicle. By this point, I had already been charged around $900 for the work, including the tint and installation. When I later asked about adding wireless CarPlay, another employee responded in a very dismissive way and implied that my dad had not told him about it, placing the blame on him rather than trying to resolve the situation. I was then quoted an additional charge. They also charged $150 in labor to install a backup camera that I brought myself, and it didn't even work. When I asked them to remove it, they told me they wouldn't do so unless I purchased a camera from them. They also refused to address it that day because they had other customers, even though I had already been waiting weeks and had a scheduled appointment. I eventually went to Reds, where they installed a backup camera for much less and also fixed the wiring issues that Pro Tints had left behind. The wires had not even been properly routed in my car and had to be corrected. After spending that much money, I expected far better service and professionalism. Instead, I was left with damage to my dash kit, additional costs, and a lot of frustration. Pro Tints seriously needs to improve both their installation work and how they treat their customers. read more

My first clue that this was going to be a bad experience is when the lady at the counter didn't want to accept the discount that is advertised. Finally, she relented and applied it after demanding proof of the ad and I pulled out my phone and showed her. Then, when my car was done, I noticed that the side window was okay, but the passenger side window was really blurry, they told me not to worry, that it was water under the film and would evaporate. After work that day, the blurriness had turned into bubbles all over the window. I took it back and was told it was normal. When I told them that a few of my co-workers had looked at it and said it was NOT normal and that there was also things that looked like little scratches she accused the people that had looked at it of trying to pop the bubbles! WTH? That's when I realized that this place was not a place that was going to stand behind their work. Turns out that the bubbles did finally go away after about a week of setting in the sun. A closer look at what seemed to be little scratches were actually little strings of lint trapped under the film. Now, about a month after having it done, the drivers side is peeling off. It appears they didn't cut the film short enough on the top and it catches on the door rubber every time you open and close the door....again, on the drivers side. My guess is that they didn't quite finish the tinting process on the drivers side before they released the car to me and didn't want to admit it. Will I take it back? Heck no. I wouldn't let those people touch my car ever again and would suggest you do the same if you want a company that will stand behind their work. read more

i went here and got my tint done for over $200. when i got my car back the tint was fine but they broke my radio screen and burned my car trim along the radio down. i talked to them about it and the manager lance said it was not their fault but would fix the radio. wasted my saturday off about 3 different days trying to get it fixed. they replaced the trim with junk yard piece which was no better. never fixed the radio . poor communication and management is a joke. take your money somewhere else i am very disappointed. read more

Supposedly the higher price means higher quality at a place that is supposedly "the best"... definitely not. I paid over $300 for a 2 door coup and windshield strip for the "higher quality, no bubble, no fade" tint. Before I left, there were obvious problems bubbles in the back window which they "fixed". Less than a week later there were large bubbles in the back, obvious bubbles in basically all the windows and a section in the middle of the windshield strip that wasnt even adhering To the glass. So, I take the car back and they agree to redo the back windshield (all the windows need to be redone). In just 2 weeks, there are even more bubbles, the driver and passenger windows are beginning to peel at the edges. Even worse, the manager said I should come with my car and windows clean - as if that is not their job to prep, clean, and finish their job aka window tinting. I will be going there tomorrow on a Saturday for hours of work to be redone, wasting my Saturday morning to a place that didn't take responsibility for piss poor work. One of my best friends owned a body shop and accessory shop in my hometown and I've seen, literally, hundreds of completed window tint jobs. Believe me when I say PISS POOR QUALITY. I bought a remote starter a while back from ProTint and recently had to replace my car battery thus the remote needed to be reset. Called them and they told me to come by it would only take a minute no charge. Got there and it only took a minute then they told me it would be $50. My wife paid about $150.00 this week to have the two front windows of our SUV to match the remaining windows. The "hue" was not even close so we took it back today. Now the girl we spoke with was slick, have to give her that much and she knew the "hustle". First she says that they couldn't match the color ( as promised earlier in the week ) second she says she can match the color for an additional $129.00 and would be generous to wave the removal ( tint they just put in) fee. Third, the inside of our vehicle REEKED of cannabis - BAD. He was probably soooo high he didn't know which color to put on. So in summary this place is not the same place it was in 1994 when they tinted my Monte Carlo SS and installed a viper alarm system nearly 3 decades ago. THE SCAM IS ON. I had wanted to get my windows tinted for a while, and once my friends convinced me, I settled on pro tint. They did a fantastic job putting the tint on; my only harp is that they didn't clean the glass once they were done. One tip, listen to their advice; it really helps!! I got my car and boyfriend car done on Friday. My baby's car needed stripping of old tint and redone. Change of grade. I was told it would take from one to two days but not sure. I really needed it done by the end of day on Friday since I was going out of town. I know I was about the 5th person there. We settle to try to get it done by Saturday but if they couldn't just follow up with us to decide if we would rent a car They went out of their way and to make sure it was done that day!! I know it was a process and I was kind of upset. But they came through. And I really like how they took care of me after I got there at 5ish and I asked about getting my car done. I'm so happy I chose to drive out to Pro Tint to have my windows tinted. They did amazing work for roughly 1/2 the price that I was quoted by another shop closer to home. The woman who was in the front getting folks setup was incredibly knowledgeable and when I told her the year, make, and model of my car she knew off hand exactly what the factory tint would have been on my rear windows. She was also able to help me with remote start questions regarding the need for another key since it is a contactless ignition. Very very impressed and it was a great way to both begin and end the service appointment. My only criticism of Pro Tint was that they do not take appointments. I went pretty early on a Saturday but still had to wait awhile. On the whole, completely worth the wait! read more

Bought china made wheels awhile back; after six months the chrome started pealing off, went back and talk to them about the problem; they where not even interested in helping me, said they would talk to distributer about it (never herd a thing) so when i went back about 2 months later they said the mfg. in China would not be running that style wheel for another 3 to 4 months (again) never herd a thing for 4 months after 1 year had past i went back and they told me the warranty had expired and there was nothing they could do (even though the problem stared after 6 months & then 1 1/2 years latter they cant fix it) junk wheels, junk place, junk customer service, i have made it a point to tell everyone i talk to about this hope they loose customers over it. read more

I have a 07 Lexus, as they were taking the old tint off the back window they ripped the fabric on the edge by the window on both sides, rear driver side has chunks missing in the top part of the panel by the glass like they used a knife or something, the passenger door wasn't all the way on and when they shut the door it took a chunk out of the panel, and I'm missing about a quarter inch tint on the passenger window (I guess they thought I wouldn't notice! I'm a car person I notice everything about my cars!) I took pictures as soon as I got home. read more

They fixed the mess that Custom tint and detail did to my truck a couple weeks ago which is the worst place to go and pro tint retinted it and its the best of the best. STAY AWAY FROM THEM! My experience with ProTint was awful. I live out of state and the car dealer took my car to have it tinted. I asked for the darkest legal limit and they said 20 would be fine. I flew in to Louisville, signed the paperwork at the dealer for the car, and got on the road for my long trip back home. I noticed the tint seemed dark, but I figured that it was because it was on a white car. Over the next several days, I noticed the tint appeared to get darker and darker as it dried. The tint was so dark that I could not even see into the car in the middle of the day. I had to roll my windows down at night just to see where I was going. After a week or so, I decided to go by a local tint shop to have the tint read because the darkness was ridiculous. I went to the local 3M tint shop to have it read and I found out they put 5 on all of the windows in the car!!! That is highly illegal (it is so black it is classified as limo tint). I reached out to Josh a ProTint to fix this huge mistake. I could not just take the car back to ProTint since I was three states away so he agreed to pay to have the tint stripped and re-tinted at a local shop in my state. I made an appointment to take it in a couple weeks in the future. When I arrived, the tint shop said that Josh never approved that and that I would have to pay nearly $400 to have the wrong tint stripped and re-tinted; this was in addition to the hundreds of dollars I had already paid to have it done the first time! I spoke with the dealer I bought the car from and Josh at ProTint. The dealer made no accommodation to fix this mistake and Josh at ProTint made ridiculous claims and made me look like a fool like I was making this whole situation up. Josh even claimed that they didn't even sell limo tint so he had no idea how it got on my windows; how ridiculous!! He made some attempt to make it right, but the deal was still going to net me paying an additional $200! I had to pay almost $400 more to get this disaster tint job fixed! This shop is completely unprofessional and made a huge mistake. The worst part about this whole situation is that THEY were the ones that put the wrong tint on my brand new car and they would not even own the mistake and make it right! I could not even enjoy my brand new car because they ruined it. I had to literally fight with them for over an hour on the phone while I was in the tint shop in my state. This is by far the WORST customer service I have ever experienced! Please DO NOT give this horrible place your business; go elsewhere. I wish I could give 0 stars because they don't even deserve the minimum of 1 star I had to give them. read more

Good: Solid tinted product and/or application. Two vehicles in my lifetime have been tinted at this facility. For both, the live of the tint lasted about ten years before starting to peel, fade, bubble, etc. IMO, this is excellent and I feel that is a decent life span. Bad: Once the tinting did start to give up its life on my first vehicle, I wanted to take advantage of the lifetime warranty they advertised. I still had a warranty card and my original receipt after ten years. They told me they had new owners and they did not honor the old warranty. So, I did not have my windows re-tinted as the vehicle was older and I suspected I may not have it for much longer. When I got a new vehicle, I had my windows tinted there again because, in the end, I thought the product was good. Once again, a lifetime warranty was advertised. And once again, after ten years, I returned with peeling tint and wanted to take advantage of the warranty. And also, once again, I was told they had new owners and did not honor the old warranty. Crazy. The tinting product/service deserves five stars, because it's a good product. However, I am deducted two stars for the warranty issue. Personally, I doubt I will return because I feel it is false advertising (x2). So, don't be afraid to go here, but if a lifetime warranty is advertised, just assume it doesn't exist. I'm sure the assumption is that no one is going to keep a car that long. read more

The sun kept getting in my eyes as I was driving. The sun visor didn't help at all. I stopped in at Pro Tint. They fixed up my car . Tinted top part of the windshield & the 2 side windows. In Dec 2020 I purchased a new radio for my '14 Mustang GT. I only wanted the factory radio swapped out, which I was told they could do. (It worked perfectly, I just wanted an upgraded radio) Nothing was quite right afterwards. I kept hearing a buzzing sound when the radio would come on. I would have to turn up the radio in order to drown out the sound. I called them back and brought my car back so they could check the ground. By this time the radio is freezing up, and doing a green screen. They change the ground but it's still not working. They swap out the radio for a different one, but it's still the same, and the radio is crooked, not even flush up against the face plate. I could poke my finger in there. After all the frustration, I told them just put back the factory radio. I was given a full refund. When I get back in the car, my GPS isn't working nor is the clock working. I tell the guy who worked on it, and his response is I put everything back the way it was! Obviously you didn't or everything would work!!!! All this was a span of about 4 months time. After going to another company, I learned that the reason why my GPS and clock didn't work. Pro Tint CUT the cable antenna!!!!!!!!!!! Thank GOD they were able to repair this and I was not out any money for the replacement cable. So instead of disconnecting wires, they cut them completely and then you tell me you put it all back together like it was!!!!!!!! I will NEVER ever do business with a company that cannot be honest with you. They should stick to window tinting.... maybe they are ok with that... they don't need to be in the audio business. read more

I have used protint for a few different vehicles. They have a lifetime warranty although you'll probably never need it. I have traded or gotten new vehicles and the tint has never faded. I recently got one window tinted (for whatever reason, only one needed it when car was purchased) and my windshield. I highly recommend windshield tinting because it rids of night glares and I can go without sunglasses when it's bright. They offer their brand of tint or 3M. I got 3M on a Toyota Tundra and the job is great but I think it is too dark in comparison to my Acura getting same darkness of tint but in their brand. I prefer their brand. As far as cost, I think it's reasonable. Some places may be less, but I don't know if anywhere else offers the warranty. Other places I've known people to use tend to have tint that fades. Also, you get 10% off Roosters while you wait - the restaurant is directly across the street. read more

Very rude. Called the first time and let it ring for three minutes no answer. So I figure they're real busy. I call back and chat with someone, no name given. I explain what size tire in looking for. He point-blank tells me that I'm wrong even though I'm reading the exact size and make of the tire on my truck and then he says "good luck finding that one". So I say that's a nice way to talk to someone on the phone. I WILL NEVER SHOP YHERE AND TELL ALL MY FRIENDS TO DO THE SAME. I am from California and I was recently out in Louisville, KY visiting my Brother for his birthday. Now in California its all about your ride, and everyone has tinted windows. As a present to my Brother I wanted to get his truck windows tinted. I knew he would be thrilled but I also know how picky he is as his truck is his baby. They chipped my windshield by doing or dropping something on it to leave chip. It is directly in my field of view. The chip was not there prior to bringing in for service. They then argued saying there is no possible way they caused the chip. They then tried to place blame back on me and question my intelligence saying I should use common sense. When they are the ones who caused damages to my windshield. I drive every day and keep my windshield clean at all times for safety and visibility. I would notice something that is directly in front of my steering wheel for view. read more
