No frills just great hospitality, memorabilia over the years, and food made with love. So much to choose from, and eventually you hone in on your favorites. Bialy bagel for me along side the nova lox platter, or I'll get their delicious French toast as part of their 2-2-2 special. That and a nice hot cup of coffee, and I'm in my happy place!

I ordered four plain bagels with cream cheese and the total came to over $25 before any tip. Looking at the receipt afterward, each bagel with cream cheese worked out to about $6, which feels extremely excessive for such a basic item. The food itself was fine, but nothing about the experience justified that price point. At these prices, I'd expect something exceptional, and this was just a standard bagel with cream cheese. Another issue is the layout of the restaurant. The space is incredibly cramped. Between customers waiting in line, people picking up orders, and limited room to move around, it felt crowded and uncomfortable. If more than a handful of people are inside, navigating the space becomes difficult. Overall, the bagels were okay, but the combination of very high prices and a tight, congested dining area makes it hard for me to recommend. There are plenty of places in South Florida where you can get a comparable bagel experience for significantly less money.

There was a nice little wait on a Saturday morning but it went by pretty quick because of how fast everyone was working and cleaning off tables! It is rather small in here so if you get uncomfortable being close to other parties, this is not the place to go during peak hours! I ordered a basic egg plate and it came with eggs, that I ordered scrambled, toast and sausage patties. The eggs were cooked perfectly and there was a nice amount of them! The sausage was very tasty and the toast was crisped to a perfect crunch for me! The prices here are very reasonable as well, with my plate being about ten dollars, if I remember correctly. The service here was crazy fast and our waitress was flying through tables left and right! My drink never made it past half the glass before she was back refilling it!

The pastrami was dry and I asked for well done fries that were barely cooked and nowhere near crispy. The waitress was too busy chatting to get her attention so I just ate them. Another employee received a food delivery from Dunkin Donuts and proceeded to eat it behind the counter, in full view of all customers. $50 for 2 people for lunch and you can't get it right. Oh my!

As soon as you walk in, it feels homie; you're welcomed by smiles and staff ready to serve. Very casual environment, with tables inside and a couple outside. Great place to stop for lunch or grab a quick bite. All the classic meats are available, with options for combining them. Hoagies come with all the fixins and in 8" or 12". The meat is freshly sliced right in front of you, and sometimes even tossed down the line to hook up somebody else's sandwich. And talk about a packed hoagie?? Loads of meat and all the fixins you want! Definitely worth the $10 do that small. I was so eager to eat mine, I forgot to take a pic, but once again, that turkey hoagie was just like I remembered it! I will definitely make sure not as much time passes the next time I stop by.

I repeated my request clearly, but it seemed to go unheard. This kind of inattentiveness is frustrating and detracts from an otherwise enjoyable meal. This isn't just a deli it's a…read moreliving memory of the great old family-run places, where recipes were sacred, handed down like heirlooms, and food wasn't just eaten... it was celebrated, debated, praised, and finished with reverence. The sandwiches arrive like legends overstuffed, unapologetic, and bursting with flavor. One bite and you're transported straight to your grandmother's kitchen, where the secret ingredient was always love... and yes, a generous whisper of schmaltz. This is the kind of place where the taste of grandmother's cooking triumphs over pretty furniture every time. Who needs chandeliers when the corned beef sings? And then, the matzo ball soup pure poetry in a bowl. Golden, comforting, restorative. It warms not just your body but something deeper, something older. One spoonful and you pause, the second makes you smile, and by the third you are quietly plotting your return. It doesn't just satisfy it calls you back, like a melody you didn't know you missed. The room itself feels like a well-loved novel soft around the edges, rich with character, inviting you to linger. No noise, no nonsense, no pretension. Just the gentle rhythm of conversation, the turning of newspaper pages, and the universal language of people enjoying honest food. The staff are not just servers they are stewards of tradition. Warm, attentive, and proud, they carry forward something increasingly rare: care without pretense, hospitality without script. And here is the truth this is not a place you visit just once. This is a place you return to, again and again. Because like a fine old wine, it reveals itself differently each time. One visit you fall in love with the soup, the next with the sandwich, and then with the feeling... the unmistakable sense that you've found something real. For those who appreciate old-fashioned, no-nonsense, deeply satisfying food give this place not one try, but many. Let it unfold slowly. Let it remind you what food used to be, and still can be. Tucked among louder, shinier distractions, NY Marina Deli stands quietly, confidently, and deliciously apart. And as they say, "Mit a bissel schmaltz un a sakh libe, ales schmeckt besser"with a little schmaltz and a lot of love, everything tastes better. Here, that isn't just a saying... it's the whole menu, the whole spirit, the whole joy. Josepienknagura@gmail.com
