    Honey BBQ Pork Nachos
    Phyliss M.

Disappointing First Visit This was our first time trying McAlister's Deli and we were genuinely excited about their unique menu. When we reached the counter, I let the cashier know it was our first visit and to please bear with us. Unfortunately, the experience ended up being a big letdown. My husband ordered the Honey BBQ Loaded Spud and I ordered the Honey BBQ Nachos without jalapeños. When our meals came out, the shredded pork and BBQ sauce on both dishes were cold -- like they had just come from the refrigerator. His potato was only slightly warm, and neither dish felt like it had been heated properly. They did take my nachos back to remake them, but when returned, the food was still barely warm and the BBQ sauce was cold again. I was told the sauce is kept in the fridge so it "won't go bad," but in our experience, BBQ is usually served hot or at least warm, or cooked into the meat -- not cold. Most BBQ restaurants also provide sauce at the table so guests can add more if they like. When I asked for a refund, there was a bit of an attitude, even though we offered to pay for -- and did pay for -- our drinks. We left extremely disappointed because we had really hoped for a good first impression.

If you're in the mood for a good deli sandwich, delicious salad, loaded potato or some tasty soup then this is the place for you. This specific location does a great job at preparing orders quickly & accurately whether you're dining in or carrying out. The dining area is always kept clean & there's plenty of seating available. When it comes to pricing, McAlister's does a great job at serving you your monies worth. Their portion sizing is fantastic, giving plenty of food & the quality is great. Going with the pick-2 option is a great way to try different things, it's given me the chance to try a lot of their items at this point. Every time I order, the large portions are consistent which is why I keep coming back! The employees are always friendly at this store, as well. In the years I've been coming there's only been a couple times where my order was incorrect & each time they had no problem correcting it quickly. As long as everything remains the same with McAlister's, I'll be back many more times. If you've never been, I'd highly suggest coming. You can't get much better than healthy, delicious food at a great price!

My dad comes in here multiple times for week and this time the family joined him. Rhonda was very helpful and is always coming by to check on us and clear away plates. I opted for the choose 2 with the Savannah salad and the south western spicy chicken sandwich. They were both so yummy. The salad was generous with the blue cheese and the sandwich was served on yummy warm bread and the avocado and other ingredients were all super fresh. I had the Oreo cheesecake after which was okay, probably not worth the nearly 700 cals though. Cheers!

We ordered from DoorDash so I can only talk about my experience from that. We ordered and then 20 minutes later it was here. So the service was quick. The food was wrapped very well so that nothing spilled. I got a potato soup and it was ok. I also got half a chicken club sandwich and I feel I ate more bread than anything else. One bite and it was gone.( that's why there's no picture). My husbands order the got wrong he asked for no cheese and got cheese in his wrap. The food might be better in person but take out it was just okay. Not lots of flavor to

Rhonda from McAlister's Deli is a very kind and sweet lady. She was very helpful and is a very hard worker made our visit very pleasant. We enjoyed a sandwich and a big salad. Rhonda is a great person and we thank her for all she does. Come visit McAlister's salads are delicious.

Service 5+ Cleanliness 5+ Variety 5+ Portion size 5 Taste of food 3 Sorry McAlister. Taste of food is most important to me. The others are important too. This restaurant is immaculate. The team members could not be nicer. I wish they worked at every restaurant I go to. Portion size isngreat. And there are more food choices than I could ever need. But the food just doesn't taste that good to me. The food is very fresh though. I ordered the Choose 2 combo. The McAlister Club has little flavor. It is boring. It has ham/turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato. I am glad they did not put mayo on it as I requested. The bread is so bland. The roast beef and cheddar with horseradish was OK. I would say this is the better of the two. But I won't come back for it. My cucumber tomato salad was odd. I didn't like it. I couldn't eat it and didn't want any of their other sides. Their lemonade is excellent!! Just the right amount of sweetness. I tasted the Black Angus sandwich. This is pretty good. It was the best out of the three. Without all the other positive attributes, I would have given them a 2. :(

I usually enjoy my meal whenever we come here but tonight, not so much. The girl at the register seemed like she really didn't want to be there. She wasn't rude but just seemed indifferent. We ordered nachos which were made quickly and waiting on the kitchen counter for pick up, but the cashier had to bring a curbside order outside and was gone for a while. When she returned, she brought our nachos at the same time as our meal so the cheese was lukewarm by then. Most of the chips were stale. I don't know if my mind was playing tricks on me since there was only 1 other couple dining in, but some of the chicken pieces in my Savannah Chopped Salad looked shiny. I was afraid to eat the chicken. On a good note, my husband enjoyed his turkey sandwich and baked potato. The girl who was at the register did her obligatory walk around and asked how everything was. When we told her that the chips were stale she didn't know what to do. She nodded her head and walked away. Lol, why bother asking if nothing is going to be done about it. I'm not sure that we would come back to this location.

Black Angus Roast Beef Sandwich with Macaroni and Cheese

From reading the reviews I thought I would have liked this place better. We tried coming here yesterday but their system was down. They couldn't take orders. So we came back today. My daughter and I have been wanting to eat here for a while. I ordered the Black Angus full sandwich with macaroni as my side. I thought my sandwich tasted alright. It came with roast beef, red onion, lettuce, tomato and I asked for the horseradish sauce on the side. I wasn't sure I would like the sauce but I did. It actually helped the sandwich a lot. The macaroni and cheese was not very good. It must have been frozen originally. Even the boxed one I make tasted better than this. I ordered a chocolate chip cookie for dessert. The lady who came around to refill drinks told me three times how good that cookie was. She was right. It was delicious and the best part of the meal. I sampled my daughter's choose two. She had a different roast beef sandwich and the McAlister Club which had ham and turkey on it. I did not care for either of them. The table service was better here than full service restaurants. I really wish I like the food better because the staff were excellent.

To preface I've never had this place before but I'm gonna try it today my church catered them so might as well give them a try it smells really good it's the ham sandwich biting into it it's a fully bread good meat with lettuce tomato and spinach I put no mayo or anything on the ham is really nice and smooth a very good sandwhich the freshness pops and really stands out yeah that was a pretty nice sandwich no real stand out flavors but the freshness was great I really loved this experience I'm gonna rate this a 4.9.999 I really loved it but there's just no real stand out flavors that emphasize the taste (I didn't try any of the pickle it looked fairly fresh wrapped in plastic) (This review was written in chronological order in the beginning then the latter is in a general short format)

I am surprised I haven't written a review long before this because I have been coming here for quite some time, basically since this location opened. After my local Jason's Deli closed I was afraid I would never find another shop like that until this place opened and then all my dreams came true (deli food wise). The location is easy to find and there is nice amount of parking around it as well. The interior is spacious and you can always find an empty table away from others here which is great if you are still a little worried about eating out during these interesting times. The prices are always great and I always go for their half and half combo. I usually choose the half sandwich and salad option and the amount of food you get for the combo price is staggering. I ordered the half McAlister's club which is smoked turkey, ham, bacon, cheese and toppings, as well as the garden salad. The salad is your run of the mill basic salad but everything in it always tastes so fresh to me and the dressing is plentiful you get with it. The sandwich is mouth watering and pilled pretty high with meat and it will keep you full for a nice amount of time for sure! The staff is always friendly and they even bring out your food and will clean up after you. I usually leave a couple bucks because of what they do here even if you don't have to.

I ordered four plain bagels with cream cheese and the total came to over $25 before any tip. Looking at the receipt afterward, each bagel with cream cheese worked out to about $6, which feels extremely excessive for such a basic item. The food itself was fine, but nothing about the experience justified that price point. At these prices, I'd expect something exceptional, and this was just a standard bagel with cream cheese. Another issue is the layout of the restaurant. The space is incredibly cramped. Between customers waiting in line, people picking up orders, and limited room to move around, it felt crowded and uncomfortable. If more than a handful of people are inside, navigating the space becomes difficult. Overall, the bagels were okay, but the combination of very high prices and a tight, congested dining area makes it hard for me to recommend. There are plenty of places in South Florida where you can get a comparable bagel experience for significantly less money.

The small deli/restaurant is mainly for take out, but they do have a couple tables inside. We chose to order here and eat at one of the tables. We got a chance to chat with the owner. We got a friendly welcome. She was quite sweet. When we asked, she told us that Goldy was her sister who had passed away. The restaurant was named after her. In addition to the menu on the counter, they have a blackboard with various featured items -- including soups of the day -- and specials. They use Board Head meats which you can see in the case. We both ordered their Italian sub, but I made a few changes to mine leaving out the ham and the capicola. The bread was soft and went well with all the meats, cheeses, and veggies. It was an excellent sandwich. We each ate half (the sandwich was stuffed with stuff) and took half home. We were talking about other options that they have when the owner mentioned various desserts -- including banana pudding. She mentioned that it's quite popular and sells out often, but she just happened to have some ready. This is my husband's favorite dessert. He couldn't resist getting a container of it. He took a few tastes there and devoured the rest at home. This place is definitely worth a return visit. And if you're looking for a good sub/hero/sandwich, etc. it makes a perfect lunch stop -- to eat in or to go. I'm so glad we tried them.
