They literally ripped my nail out of my nail bed. When it started bleeding the technician threw a towel over my hand. The only reason I didn't loose my mind was because it was a special outing with my daughter and granddaughter and I didn't want to ruin it. The nail in question is now permanently maimed. We've been going to ProfessioNAIL for two years now and love it. Appointment or no appointment, we are sitting in those luscious leather human touch massaging chairs within 5 minutes of arriving! In the spirit of honesty, the staff can be a little on the cold side at times; however, there's one staff who rocks ALL the time!!! Her name is Gloria! She is so attentive and takes her time on your nails and massage. Today, I tried a new staff, Jennifer. She was good as well, but her massage was really light. There's so many other salons in the area for pedicures. This one doesn't even try. The ladies in there are not busy but rush your service and yell across the salon the entire time in a different language. It's not very clean and they seem miserable. I came in and was the only one. 4 employees were sitting around playing candy crush on their phones (volume was on). I decided to get a pedi and had trouble picking a color since they had a very small selection. I asked for help picking one similar to a photo and they said "that's all we have". The chairs are very beat up and need to be cleaned. The floor had nail clippings, hair and trash. The lady was not friendly and made me feel uncomfortable for trying to start a conversation. I tried to ask simple, nice questions about the business and nails, but she was snarky and kept saying "there's so many salons around here". It was weird she was telling me about her competition but... okay... I was hoping for a decent pedicure but it was very rushed. There was nail polish left on my skin and my toenails were not even cut even... I left and won't be back mainly because of sanitary reasons. This is a nail salon and people can get serious infections. They need to mop their floors, empty the trash and clean the pedicure throws. She is right, there are a ton of other salons in the area that are much cleaner, friendlier and quieter. It's too bad. If this salon had it together, I'd go all the time! read more

This place is an OASIS among nail salons in the area! As soon as I walked in, I was treated with warmth and joy. I had called ahead and they were genuinely happy I had arrived at their shop. A girl named Lily helped me. She was extremely personable, sweet, and the dynamic between her mom and herself was absolutely hilarious! I've never laughed so hard getting my nails done before! Lily did an AMAZING job! Not only were my toes adorable, but she made me feel better when I changed my mind like 15 times. I'm not sure why picking colors is such a challenge but if it were a life threatening situation, I'd probably die before I chose a color. Gloria was the woman who helped me with my manicure. She was also hilarious! Again, I've never had such a great time getting my nails done! Gloria did a fantastic job and it was so fun to see the way everyone interacted with one another. So many times you go to a nail salon and it seems everyone has worked so hard that day they just want to go home. However, I really felt at this shop like I was genuinely wanted there. I've been a few times over the past year and I have always has a good experience. The salon is always clean and everbody seems to be friendly so far. I usually get a basic gel mani and it holds up pretty well. I did get acrylics back in December and boy did the nail tech do a great job! I was still getting compliments a month later. Walked in without an appointment and got a quick pedi for 22 semolians. The appearance is clean, The selection of colors is just fair, they favor a brand I had not heard of. I found a color I liked, but might bring my own next time. I think there were 5 girls working and one guy, chatting amongst themselves. I wore headphones and even practiced my spanish out loud (softly) and no one seemed to notice. If they are gonna speak in a foreign language, then so am I. We had 6 appointments for mani/pedis made weeks in advance and when we got there the salon was dirty, they told one of our group they wouldn't have time for her manicure and then proceeded to help other customers as walk-ins saying out loud that they would never let him wait and to come sit down. Every time I come in they're welcoming and friendly! My go to is usually Michael unless he is busy but I'm not very picky so I go to whoever is available! If you read carefully, most of the bad reviews are petty & have more to do with the insecure customers than the technicians. If you don't know the language & you're uncomfortable with happy employees talking amongst themselves while doing a job you wouldn't do yourself, go to your closest racist-filled salon where your kind feels safe. Gloria does a great pedicure & gives the best leg & foot massage & Kim does a wonderful manicure & she even free hands if you have a design request. The prices are reasonable for the amount of time they spend with each customer. Businesses spend the same amount of time & money on children as they do adults. If a business offers a discount for children, be grateful. If they don't, don't be a Karen. Also, what do you think you're accomplishing by writing horrible reviews over something the employees have no control over? If you don't want foot infections, maybe you should take better care of your feet. I've never had a sore or infection from a mani/pedi. Probably because I keep them clean. They have a huge selection of colors. I know, because I was next in line to get a manicure & some woman in front of me couldn't decide what color she wanted & I was getting impatient. They're nail technicians, not magicians. They can't magically change your wide manly fingers into thin ones you found a picture of. If I had to work in an environment where I had to deal with Karen after Karen, I'd probably be short with people, too. Be a good customer. 1.) Know what you want. 2.) Know what time you want. 3.) Expect delays (other customers cause delays, not the employees). i.e. The more you want to chit chat, the longer it takes. This isn't Mali-bougie. It's Port Hueneme. Take your stuck up attitude & hatefulness somewhere your kind accepts that type of behavior. Or, here's a thought, maybe just be a good person. read more
