I've been going to Chi since it was CK nails... going on 13 years. It's so close to my home and everyone at the shop is so friendly. Love the service and color options available. Now that Nancy has taken over the business and has other services... the place has gotten a new look! Nancy does my lash extensions and I always get compliments on how natural they look. I'm there every 2 weeks for a fill for both mani and lash fills and it's so convenient. Go see Chi for a mani/pedi and Nancy for lashes! Was there for 2 hours just to get dips done. The mom set me up to soak my nails for almost an hour I ended up grabbing paper towels and wiped the excess powder off. The dad came and started my nails didn't prep them properly. You could see the crease where he put the acrylic on, finally the daughter (assuming the owner) came to finish, she ended up finishing them as gel since I was there so long. Didn't smooth my nails from dip just put gel. Literally 2 hours later I was done. I was so exhausted from this appointment... then a week later 2 of the acrylics where he had glued them fell off. I used gorilla glue to put them back on. Pretty sad experience. She needs to hire help. read more

I really wanted to like this place. In fact, I went a second time, and BOTH times the lady cut me with the buzzer thing they use to rough up your nails before gel. 2 fingers were cut today. Each time she did it, I jumped a bit and the lady went on like she didn't even notice. She didn't even say sorry. Then I began to bleed a bit and she put my hand in the water to soak. I'm just thinking in my head I hope this bowl is clean- I've got open wounds now. When it came to the alcohol like stuff they put on to prep the nail, she brushed the alcohol on with what I hope was a clean brush. It burned so bad because I have those 2 open cuts! To make things worse, they barely spent time on exfoliating my hands and feet(one minute total each). If that wasn't enough, they did both the mani and pedi at the same time and the manicurist made me bend all funny just sitting in her chair.(they usually move themselves to the other side so you can relax in the chair. The are very stingy with there product and there is an older man that shouldn't be working anymore but they had him on my nails not good but not his fault Nails are then barely any acrylic or polish on the nails the older man put the fingernails on and cut them only on one side when I was moved to the other girl she did not fix the other hand at all just started applying acrylic. No shapes are all different uneven in the French tip line is thick and uneven on every now. Didn't even check if my nails were even. read more

Salon is dirty, techs try to squeeze in customers causing scheduled appointments to be pushed back. I went to Kelly for years, until she decided that she would raise her voice at me extremely rudely in front of the owner and all the clients, because of her confusion with a schedule appointment. If I wasn't desperate I would of told her to f$%^ off. I haven't returned and never will! read more

Absolutely best one stop nail shop I've ever been to and I've tried a lot of nail salons but tried Royal Nails like 5 yrs ago at least and I'm still currently going to them my gel nails fill and gel pedicure last me a good 4 weeks and their prices are very reasonable!!!!! Also most relaxing place ever always playing calm music videos on a huge 85 inch tv oh and their chairs wow they massage and heat your seat up and your back up if you want!!!! Kelly is who I go to majority of the time and she does an absolutely amazing job and there's been a handful of times I've gone and had this also done by Nancy the owner who can really match a picture you show her you want that you found on line!!!! All this plus they offer so a lot of services!!!! Royal Nails on Johnson in Ventura the absolute BEST!! P.S. one more thing I only go to Kelly and Nancy and one time Nancy's mom did my toes and she did also an amazing gel pedicure. Will not be coming back! Nails only. Don't fault the hair stylist. Manicurist had the drill going to my skin while answering a text message. They had no color pallet so I had to get up & search the wall for a color. Colors were not in order either. Pedi ended with my toe bleeding& manicure ended with patches with no color. When I showed her she asked "where?" I gave the benefit of the doubt and said "do *you* see it?" she said "yes" I thought IF YOU SEE IT FIX IT! Got it fixed,paid and left. I learned about this shop from the collection 24 Hr. Fitness. Members taking Zumba classes love to come here. The shop is clean, modern and relaxing. Great pedicure chairs with message. Large screen TV etc. The staff is friendly and work until you are happy. Their selection of nail styles is amazing. They do eye lash and hair extensions. I elected for a session of spray tanning. Disappointing quality on many levels. My nail beds have apparent scratches on them from the buffer. The nail trim is so uneven, it's clear the nail tech has no care on presentation. I've manicured my own nails better than this. The cuticles weren't even taken care of completely. I'm literally 40 weeks pregnant today and I decided to treat myself to just a nail cleaning and this is more disappointing than having done it myself. Definitely won't be coming back here. read more

This was my first time at this salon. I will not be coming back. I made an appointment and it took two hours to complete an acrylic fill. A guy started my nails and just filed for 45 minutes. I know now it was a stall tactic until another worker was finished. Which is incredibly rude as it keeps me there hostage. I wish I could say it was worth it but the end result was garbage. Nails are super thick, uneven, slanted and different shapes and lengths. I asked several times for her to at least file them even. I was told no as it would file off too much. read more
